Before Lexie met her billionaire, Luthor Thorne, she was once a high school virgin, desperate to be touched.
Eager and curious about being with a real-life boy, as opposed to her go-to imaginary hunk Freddie Prinze Jr., she meets up with an unlikely candidate, and has a first time, of sorts.
She gains confidence, but not quite all the experience she was seeking.
That summer, between high school and college, she takes a job with a family friend, cleaning cabins.
She meets a man who's trying to write his first detective novel, but seems more interested in getting to know his housekeeper. He's still going by the first name of David, but Lexie convinces him to use his much sexier middle name, and become Smith Wittingham.
Smith Wittingham's first act as a new author is to help alleviate young Lexie of her ... curiosity.
Lexie's First Time is a 10,500 WORD SHORT STORY. (About 42 pages.) The events take place 8 years before the beginning of Lexie's series, Borrowed Billionaire, and 9 years before Smith's series, Billionaire Novelist. There are also appearances by characters from The Ice Cream Shop Boy.
This tale may be read as a stand-alone short story.
A prequel short story told in retrospect of Lexie's coming of age exploits and from ugly duckling self image to attractive young woman who explores her sexuality with Lars and oral sex, and embraces her loss of virginity at a later date with a mature man, writer David. This is all before she meets any Billionaire and I have a feeling some personal insights were included here...may be wrong, but many women would recount such experiences if differing in time, place and person.
Short story, not sure if I will continue with the Billionaire series unless there's a condensed book of the series. Just three stars for this.
(Downloaded for free from Amazon.co.uk) This was a pretty sexy short story, and I have to say that I'm really glad I came across this author. She really does do erotica so well! 7 out of 10.
This was the prequel to the Borrowed Billionaire Series that introduces you to Lexie and her first sexual experiences. It was short - but was a great addition to the story.
Lexie's quirky clothes sniffing - closet masturbation wasn't just something she started to do later in life. As she works cleaning houses over the summer she shares a few moments with the stranger that is renting the cabin she is cleaning. Lexie's first time is with the man that she won't see again, but a man that she will not forget.
I hate giving bad ratings and reviews because I respect all writers for putting themselves out there. Maybe it's because it was a prequel. But the entire story was told through introspections with little dialogue. There was some, but what was there, was kinda silly. I don't know. I didn't like it.
Well, hopefully that wasn't the way the rest of it will go, because I think I bought the first book in the series. At least this one was free.
Cute beginning to an amazing series. It was nice to hear the background of Lexie and find Laura from the Ice Cream Shop boys was one of her friends. I love when authors tie characters together. The book HOT. The author writing his first novel sounded amazing, her first time, was nothing short of being HOT. I'm in love with this series already!
This was an enjoyable, quick read. I finished easily in under an hour. It was pretty much what I expected it to be....a fun, steamy story rather than something with characters that I love and adore. I haven't read any of the novels in the series yet so I have no idea whether it was a fitting prequel for the series or not.
I liked this book, even though I'm sure that that isn't how it happens in real life. I think that I'd never be with my girlfriends, but it wasz fun reading about it.
One thing that I wouldv'e changed is that they were safe!
I confess that this little free story was sitting on my kindle for quite a long time, but I was reluctant to add it to my goodreads shelf because of the cover. I dislike it immensely!
I have read The Walk-In (Borrowed Billionaire, #1) some months ago, which features Lexie as the heroine. And although I really liked it, I did not continue with the series because of this rather annoying young lady! Having read the "Typist - Billionaire Novelist: Complete Series" just recently, I thought I give Lexie another chance and read about her encounter with Smith, the hero in the "Typist" as well. Oh my... There is really just so much horniness I can take! Lexie´s small brain is occupied with one single little thought and even 50 pages reading about her sex obsession is exhausting. Unfortunately her and Smith´s intermezzo was only some pages long and the rest was buried under Lexie´s self-reflections and musings.
This is such a pity! I so want to read the "Borrowed Billionaire" series but how am I to tune out this upsetting heroine?
It starts off with the heroine, Lexie being in high school and all the angst that goes with it. She curious about sex and what sex truly is. She and her fiends discuss this at length at their slumber parties. What they can do and not do to keep themselves classified as virginal. One night Lexie experiences a sexual act and realizes she likes it. A few weeks later, she is sent to her mother's best friend to stay for the summer. She gets a job cleaning cabins. The pay is lousy and the work is hard but she's stuck there for a while.
She cleans the cabin of a would be writer and the two leave each other notes. These notes lead to a flirty relationship between the two. One day they finally meet and BAM, Lexie gets a full education on sex. It wasn't a bad story but not great either. I loved her summary at the end.it made me smile. I'm unsure if I'll read anything further by this author.
This was such a good prequel! I just wished it wasn't so short. It tied 3 of Mimi's awesome books together. Lexie was great as usual. She was funny and such a good lead character even when she was younger. The story was just that more interesting with her personality. And oh Smith-what can I say?! I think this prequel got me to like Smith a little more. I mean, I didn't dislike him before but now I'm all like more of DSW! I just wished he was in this prequel more but the little tease of him just makes me want to go back and re-read "Billionaire Novelist!" I wanted it to be longer and more action but still oh so good. Everyone should read this prequel and then read "Borrowed Billionaire" and "Billionaire Novelist"! These stories do not disappoint and neither does Mimi!
I can't believe I missed this one!! Read Borrowed Billionaire a while back and didn't know about this add on. I love Lexie in these books. She's such a naughty girl and proud of it:) It was nice to see her as a teenager and how it all began. Another exciting thing I learned from reading this is that Smith is the main character in Billionaire Novelist. A set of books I have not had the pleasure of reading yet and will be in my top list of books to read. I liked him and was sad it was suck a short little part until the end of the story when she informs is he made it big and got his own series!!!!!
Love Mimi Strong's writing style, and I even had fun with the characters in this. I'm not sure if I want to return to the series this is a prequel for, since I know enough about it to know the male lead is rich, and I don't generally enjoy reading stories with rich heroes in them. Part of what I liked in this one was that the male leads were quirky or flawed, rather than the usual rich alpha stereotype. And the cleaning-lady romance thing was pretty hilarious. I'm a sucker for a quirky not-quite-love story. I've definitely gotta return to Strong's writing, if I can find another series of hers that has characters similar to these.
This book ties - "The Typist" series, "The Borrowed Billionaire" series & "The Ice Cream Shop Boy" Series all together. Definitely Hot & Steamy with a side of Raunchy. The ending was Fabulous because I already know the after story!
Quotes:
"He even hit on me a few time, but because Laura was crushing on Lars, I didn't jump at the opportunity to ride his pink Corvette."
"I'm a virgin.* *in the sense that my vagina is a virgin."
Mimi Strong is a talented writer. She knows that in order to keep a reader interested you need to go into detail and make sure that you are able to draw the reader into the story line almost as if the reader is there.
Lexie's First Time has more detail than may be necessary but at the same time it keeps the story flowing and keeps the reader wanting more and more. However the story line flowed with ease, the characters were easy to identify with, there was adventure, as well as romance which is something that every good story needs to have.
…love Mimi Strong (and if you don’t, why not?) …remember the frustration of not getting some …think fondly of that time they saw their first real penis …have read either the Borrowed Billionaire or Billionare Novelist series (I haven’t, but want to now) …like a little humor in their erotica
Lexie’s First Time was a free Kindle book I downloaded on April 5, 2013 for the Why Buy the Cow? reading challenge.
This was a very interesting take on a young woman losing her virginity. It was very tastefully done and I think it would reflect how a teenager would feel. This is the first book I read by Mimi strong. I downloaded it for free from Amazon. I have the next book the series as well, which I downloaded for free from Amazon.
This is a short story which happens 8 years before the serials with Lexi begin.
This was a great prequel to for these two series (Borrowed Billionaire, and The Billionaire Typist) though I have not read the Typist series yet I really want to after getting a taste of Smith in the prequel. I also can't wait to finish Borrowed Billionaire, Lexie cracks me up already in the prequel I can't wait to see what kinds of shenanigans she gets into in the rest of the series.
"Lexie's First Time" is a prequel to a series. I picked up the 1st book in the series for free and figured I might as well pick this up since it was free. I felt it didn't have a strong story line or well developed characters. It was too short to really have any substance but it seemed like a haphazard attempt to throw a short story together.
This is the prequel to the Borrowed Billionaire series. Lexie is an eighteen year old girl who's sexual curious and determined to explore. This short includes two of Lexie's firsts. It's a simple, quick erotica with a bit of a story to it. My only negative criticism is that it had too much plot for something so short.
I enjoyed reading this prequel. since already reading the series it gives you insight into the younger Lexi. I wish it was a longer novella, just when you get into it it ends. Now I can't wait to read the other series billionaire novelist. I'd definitely recommend this as a great series. Hot and an easy read.
