A rogue, who had sought nothing but his own pleasure in life, is now faced with something he never knew he wanted. A family.
Hannah, a recent widow and proud mama to the new Duke of Holsworthy, is confronted with a man who fills her body with yearnings she cannot name. The ache is so foreign to her, as is the desire to be touched by this handsome and charming stranger. Yet reality crushes her vacillation when she learns he is also a member of the exclusive Goodrich Hall—a place where the essence of sex practically drips from its sinful walls!
While this knowledge disgusts her, she finds herself still dreaming of him constantly. The more time she spends with him, the more Hannah sees that he clearly cares for both herself and her son—unlike her late husband, a man who had filled their lives with nothing but pain and suffering.
Does the pleasure he teases Hannah about really exist? Nights filled with nothing but sublime pleasure? The question is, is Hannah brave enough to let go of her prudish ways and find out for herself?
Living in the remote part of Australia called the Northern Territory, Danielle conforms to the typical Aussie persona. That is, if you think the typical Aussie sits around the BBQ with a beer in hand, dressed in a singlet, shorts and ‘pluggers’ (rubber thongs) thinking nothing of the 35 degree celsius heat with 100% humidity and ignoring the snapping handbags (saltwater crocodiles) swimming nearby. Yep, Danielle is certainly that typical Aussie on weekends, but during the week, she is somewhat different. Transporting herself to a place of history, intrigue and fornication, Danielle writes historicals laced in scandal, lust and desire, with no thought to propriety or what’s socially considered ‘proper’. She adores the handsome rogue or the wild rake that refuses to acknowledge to the possibility of love or monogamy. What woman doesn’t like the allure of the wonton tempter, with his tightly fitted breeches and devilish smile? *swoons!*
Danielle believes there is something hugely gratifying about taming that wild gentleman, and is kind enough to haul us along for the ride.
Hannah is a cautious sexually timid widow. Andrew an experienced rogue used to an extensive variety of sexual pleasures. When they meet, their attraction is instant but the disparity in their experiences makes Hannah very unwilling to give in. This is the first book I’ve read from Danielle Lisle and Trusting the Rogue was a wonderful read. Regency. Romance. A heroine to love. A hero to die for. I look forward to reading more in this series.
A man that can love someone else's child when going into a relationship with the mother is an amazing man, that's all i'll say on the matter. What an amazing hero. Naww.
