3.5 While this wasn’t bad it was messy to the point Ariah just came off as immature. Lucian and Ariah was fighting feeling. I loved Lucian stepping up to help take care of her son. Demarcus & Lana a bxtch vexed they should have gotten more fckd up. I know there’s going to be a spin off with Kyron and Blair. Knox also giving off snake/bxtchass vibes
“People always claim that opposites attract, but for us I would say that’s a lie. We’re so much alike it scares me. I’ve never been with a guy that matches my energy like you do.”
Lucian and Ariah were so much fun to read about! From the opening scene of the book, I knew that Ariah was going to take me on a journey. The book has a few things that I enjoy: motorcycle club, the story of redemption because Lucian was fresh out of prison, strong friendships, and good drama and the sex was spicy.
The chemistry between the characters was believable; I loved how secure Lucian is in his relationship with Ariah. He is a protector first, he’s strong, has BDE, and is not afraid of getting his hands dirty. Lucian could have easily gone back to his previous behaviors but he was determined to prove to himself and his family that things would be different for him. I loved everything about him!! Ariah, my sweet angel… was a lot to handle but I think the author wrote her character perfectly. She’s a young mother, a stripper, the headliner if you will. She has always done what she wanted, even if that meant going against her parent's wishes. As I was reading, I could vividly imagine Ariah swinging her fists or throwing her ass around the pole with her fire-red hair leaving dust behind. She is just different!
Something about Lucian and Ariah just worked so well and I think it was because they were truly the same. Ariah was in a relationship that had run its course and Lucian had stars in his eyes when he first saw her- it was quite literally lust at first glance. This is a story that I can see myself going back to because it is a good foundation for what’s to come from this crew. I feel like every character mentioned deserves a story because I am invested and want more!! Great job on this one, Tay Monae!
I really wanted to like this story, but the fighting was just too childish for me. Grown folks cutting up and being unkind was just too much. Ariah was not for me, but I could tolerate Lucian better. Why can't writers find kinder, emotionally nature folks to write about? Why the abundance of sex acts performed every other page? This one was not my cup of tea.
UUUUUGGGHHHH!! Where do I begin? I wanted to love this so much. And initially, it started off strong. I was staying up late reading. Basically devouring it, but somewhere around the 5th or 6th time of Ariah making the same statements about her baby daddy. I started to lose interest.
Large parts were redundant to me. How many times did we have to read about her father’s disdain for strippers and some foolishness with her baby daddy. It was more conflict between them, than I felt focus on Ariah and Lucian.
The sex was there, but the chemistry over time not so much. It was clear they both were hotheads. But she was too immature and her character was flat. I saw her as a bird. A pretty bird, but a bird nonetheless. She was just as pathetic as Lana fighting and going off on other women for a nothing a** 🥷🏾. So I wasn’t impressed with her. I kept thinking, Lucian could do so much better.
When Ariah reacted aggressively toward Dayshaun, I knew I was done. Lucian handled it with her, at least held her accountable. But she was meh for me.
Lastly, I didn’t like the final issue between the couple. It was weird and seemed even more unnecessary to the story. And really emphasized the concerns of her parents, about how they don’t think or plan. Just react. Ariah’s thought process the whole time was immature. Like… ma’am, why wouldn’t you think the guy you’re dating doesn’t have a role in your child’s life?! Talking about you’re not looking for a father for him. Huh! Maybe not a father, but he will and should be a father figure. Make it make sense🤷🏾♀️
This story started out strong like I was getting hyped then it got uninteresting. Ariah redundancy about her baby daddy and dad was too much like every time they’re mentioned we gotta be reminded what they didn’t do or approve of even tho we read it 10x already. Lucian would’ve to be my least male character from this author like he didn’t give me “I’m that ni**a at all. The fight scenes were the best parts of this book. And Johnny scene went by so fast I’m like all the drama he caused and that’s it? Idk what it is about supporting characters but they always do it for me. I loved all Ariah friends(Blair, Lani, and Rissa) and MJ and Kyron were my favorites I hope to see more of them
I loved Lucian but Ariah was toooooo much. Baby she got on my whole nerve but the men in this story were everything. Take it back to the uncle one time lol
Ariah is a single mother who is a stripper. Ariah’s best friends plan a night out where she has an impromptu run in with Lucian. Lucian is just getting out of jail after serving a 4 year bid and is in a motorcycle club named The St. Angels. Something about Ariah has Lucian wanting to see her again. These two vibe well with each other and the chemistry they share makes them want to take things further.
I love the interactions with Ariah’s friend group. They are good for laughs when I’m need but they are also there is they need to put the paws on someone. Ariah doesn’t respond to well to other females disrespecting her but she put up with a lot from her son’s father. Lucian is ready to deal with issues from his past and move forward with his life. The relationship between Kyron and Blair is interesting especially since Blair hadn’t mentioned it to her girls.
Overall this was a real page turner and I finished it in one sitting. As I said before Tay Mo’nae never disappoints. With this book it is officially the start of a my motorcycle club era. Ariah & Lucian is the perfect introduction to the St Angels. I can’t wait to see what else Tay has in store for the rest of the crew.
Ariah and Lucian: A Pikemoore Falls Novel by Tay Mo’Nae
Drink: Firecracker Cocktail
Music: Match My Fly by Moneybagg Yo
Ariah “Red” Rivers: If, “firecracker,” was a person it would be Ariah. Sis was always on go and had no issues with it.
Lucian “Baby” Lacross: If, “rebel,” was a person it would be Lucian. He really struggled with finding his footing in the grand scheme of things.
Ariah and Lucian had an interesting story to share. This wasn’t your average motorcycle club (MC) story, or your average biker falls in love with non-member story. Tay Mo’Nae took us on a journey of discovery. Of two souls so very alike but also very different finding each other. Neither Lucian nor Ariah were looking for a relationship, but their chance meeting set them on a course that couldn’t be undone. Ariah was a real character. She’s someone we know in real life, or at least a friend of a friends lol. She was beautiful, crazy, loyal, and had the best friend’s group ever. Whereas Lucian and them other Lacross boys need to drop their location now because that’s where we need to be lol. Mo’Nae brought legacy and brotherhood to the forefront in this story. The brotherhood is something that these sisters love about MC books, so we were thrilled to see that and happy every time we got to experience that side of Lucian with his brothers. We honestly could’ve used more of the MC life. Overall, this was a good read for sure. Recipe can be found on Pinterest by Budget Savvy Diva
This was my first book by the author and she had me hooked by the first chapter. It had the perfect amount of drama, love, and spice in it.
Ariah was such a hot head lol. I had to keep reminding myself she was young. But she wasn’t playing behind anything that was hers. Which was Lucian 🤣
I love reading about characters who get out of prison and go about life the right way. That made Lucian even more interesting. It was giving, ima do it the legal way, but you I will go to war about mine(his family and Ariah)
this is kind of a spoiler but I’m a sucker for the unexpected pregnancy trope. Immediate 5 stars from me 🤣🤣
I loved it! I loved the way Lucian supported Ariah and especially loved the way he cared for her son. Ariah was a little firecracker fr, baby girl didn’t take to kindly to disrespect and would pop off quick and fast. Lucian was really that 🥷 cool and calm. Neither one of them were looking for a relationship but found what they didn’t know they needed in each other.
Ariah had a great support system in her friends and parents and I love that for her.
Demarcus was trash 🤮
I would like to know what was up with Blair and Kyron.
I liked that this was about a MC but it didn’t take away from the love story! Really great read you will not be disappointed!
Give me more! I love a good biker story! Ariah was definitely a firecracker and loved her feisty personality. She stood ten toes down behind all of her life decisions and that made her a great heroine. I loved that she took pride in what she did for a living. Often when reading stories about characters with nontraditional jobs, we see characters leaving those jobs for love. I’m glad Ariah wasn’t being pressured to quit to appease Lucian, not that he asked her too. It made the story so much more compelling. Now on to Lucian. He matched Ariah with his own fiery personality, but he was definitely the levelheaded one of the two. he made some questionable decisions in his past, but I could tell that he’d grown a lot. I love how he was supportive of Ariah’s career and didn’t mind developing a relationship with her son. He was definitely patient with her because at times I wondered why he hadn’t popped off. I loved seeing the dynamics of his family and the St. Angels crew and can’t wait for more from them.
Demarcus (and his family), Lana, Yvonne, and Johnny can all kick rocks! That’s all I have for them.
I need the 411 on Blair and Kyron though. They need to be together because there’s definitely a story there.
Whew Aria is a fiesty one and Lucian matched her energy!
Well, I love this new world Tay MoNae is building with this St. Angels Motorcycle Club! Ariah and Lucien are both wild af and I knew from both their introductions we were in for a ride! Arian’s first scene is busting the windows out of her baby daddy’s car and fighting his other baby mother! Like what?!? 😩 Ariah has hands and friends who have hands! Lucien is fresh out of jail and readjusting to life within the St Angels, all while trying to stay out of trouble. Lucien bumps into Ariah at a race and the two are like fire and fire ever since! I loved the cat and mouse until Ariah was playing too much and needed to just go get her man! I loved how Lucian didn’t judge Ariah and accepted that although she has lived a lot of life being a mom, stripper, etc he acknowledges and helps her through the growing pains. His tightening her up after that fight at Keion’s house had me sitting up straight! 😩😆🔥 Speaking of that fight idc what y’all say Dayshaun knew what she was doing and got them hands put on her! I wanted Lucian to check her tbh, like I get their club members but stop being obtuse she was making a statement in front of Ariah! This book was fire and I enjoyed every second! I will say I enjoy it when Tay dips into her urban bag because anything goes! Ariah may be one of my fav characters from Tay too now! Lucien's enemy going after Ariah made sense but I didn’t see it playing out like that at all! Also, the other storylines that were happening have me sooo ready for more books in this series! I didn’t like Dayshaun but wouldn’t mind a book on her because her backstory was good too! This book had so much going but I really enjoyed this! TW: lots of violence, domestic violence, and assault on page. I recommend this book and hope we see more from the other club members and Arian’s friends!
This book had potential but a lot of the book became repetitive. Ariah is a stripper and her parents don't agree with her job. That was mentioned in the book a lot. Ariah and her baby father was same repetitiveness also.
Lucian was very mid and blah. He was not giving anything. The other characters were more interesting. Hopefully they will have a book.
Johnny's part lack interest and was so quick. There was no build up for the storyline.
I want more from Pikemore!! Red did bother me a little with the way she was treating Baby at first, but I had to remember her age. Her baby daddy was garbage for real. I’m ready for the next installment.
This is probably showing my naïveness, but what does it mean when the author says a character “claps their a$$ cheeks” and “flutters their butt”. Like I can’t even picture what that would look like? Is it because I’ve never been to a strip club?
In any case, on to the actual book review — This wasn’t my normal read. I struggled to get through it because parts of the writing seemed repetitive. No shade intended but perhaps the author could’ve used a thesaurus to broaden the words she used to describe people, things or situations that she referred to on a regular basis.
The MCs were interesting and semi-unpredictable and this helped keep me invested enough to keep reading. The FMC was entirely too ready to throw hands (ALL.THE.TIME) and was always running her mouth. I didn’t love the chip on her shoulder but it was understandable because of the way her ex treated her. The MMC was also a hothead but had softer edges that made me like him more than the FMC.
Overall the read was okay, plot fairly predictable and pacing a happy medium. I doubt I’ll read further in the series. I need a break from motorcycle clubs for a while.

🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ INFERNO. P@nty melting 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Blazing hot 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Now we’re talking 🌶️🌶️ Meh… uninspired missionary 🌶️ Does weak foreplay count?
Ariah & Lucian are the definition of twin flames. Those two are explosive in their own right, but together they’re mercurial. I love how Lucian showed Ariah how a man is supposed to treat his woman. When he decided that he was all in, he was ALL IN. Same for Ariah, despite doubts and insecurities. Her friends were hilarious and I enjoyed how different they were but how they all clicked, and had each others backs. Blaire and Nalani didn’t play, and Rissa for durn sure didnt have any understanding behind Ariah. Kyron was also hilarious, he and Keion were the perfect balance of funny but serious. Demarcus should go play in six lane interstate traffic. He is a waste of space. I knew, from the first interaction, who Joe was (& he’s very much a punk for what he did). Yvonne was another waste of space. Tuh. And don’t even get me started on Lana aka Dizzy Dora. She’s definitely that four letter c word that we don’t like to say🤷🏽♀️ I’m glad their parents finally chilled out, especially Ariahs overbearing father. All in all I very much enjoyed this book and finished it in one setting. Like I haven’t moved at all. I love how roughly possessive Ariah and Lucian were over each other, how passionate but explosive that the both were. I recommend this read to anyone who likes that certain type of man 🫠💪🏽 with all that BDE. Mixed with her BBE 🤌🏽😰 Def. a must read and Reread 🫶🏽 TY !!
Ariah has been through it with her ex and his other baby mama. From the fighting and the disrespect and she claims the baby wasn't his. What type of man are you having her say that's not your son? Lucian is fresh out of jail trying to get accustomed to being at home. Lucian ran into Ariah at her job as she worked as a stripper. It's was going good until it wasn't. Ariah was trying to play the cat and mouse game and Lucian wasn't going for it. Ariah dad didn't like Lucian because he was in a motorcycle gang, but he was much more than that. Her mama said as long as she was happy she didn't have a problem with it. Lucian got shot because Yvonne set him in up. Johnny should have took that lost. Dayshaun knew what she was doing by being in Lucian face. Her and Ariah went toe to toe. Lucian scooped Ariah up real quick. Ariah found out that she was pregnant and didn't know what to do. She talked with her girl, some was saying that she was only twenty two with two kids that wasn't a good look and others said what Lucian says about? I guess Johnny scared her so bad all she could think about her kids. Lucian said he wasn't going to be a lame like DeMarcus. He is going to be there every step of the way.
I actually give it a 4.5. The only reason that I took off .5 is because there seemed to be a lot of redundancy about Demarcus and Ariah’s parents. Otherwise it was a well written story that flowed well and definitely kept my attention. I enjoyed the relationship between Ariah and Lucian because they were definitely two of a kind. She was a little immature at times, but she was young. Although she worked as a stripper, she was a good mother. Demarcus was trash and his parents went along with his nonsense, just having babies all over Pikemoore Falls. The ending should have made Ariah’s dad happy, because her pregnancy got her to stop stripping. Great story that was worth reading.
Lucian fresh out of jail wasn't look for a relationship but when he met Ariah it sparked something between them. They were what each other needed! That no good Damascus and Lani deserved each other! Anytime you let someone make you not claim your child you deserve whatever you get! It was clear, Lani was insecure and jealous! Johnny was a loose cannon and in the end got dealt with! I really want to know what's up with Blair and Knox too! I knew that Ariah and Lucian were going to get caught up too much luvin going on! Ariah's father was a lot too! In the end they got their HEA, and a future family addition coming too! Some grammatical errors but actually a very good read!
Great love story enjoyed the way the author really had you feeling some of the emotions and struggles that a single mother goes through while dealing with a deadbeat jealous baby daddy. Ariah was an strong independent woman whom stood her ground even though she was young she knew what she wanted, she needed to mature some more and that's where Lucian came in, after doing a bid because he was young and dumb he wanted to make his life better and stay legit. Together they brought out the good in each other. DeMarcus was a butthole just spreading his seeds all around all while trying to be possessive of the women he dealt with, so happy Ariah wised up , but that Lana just wanted to be kept that's why she never complained about his actions. Great love story.
Arias was hard body, dealing with the hardships of being with a liar and serial cheater. Demarcus had did a number in and he was truly pathetic. Lana was a bird that deserved someone like Demarcus. Lucian was home and trying to start off fresh with his family, to leave a better impression than the one from his past. There was a instant connection between Lucian and Ariah but with her scars she tried to push him away and when he listened she couldn’t handle it. I loved how he was patient with her but still made her take accountability for her actions/insecurities. Johnny was sad and his ending was deserving. I really enjoyed this read !!
I DNF'D this. If you are looking for just hood nonsense then this is it. It starts of with just chaos. Ariah busting up her baby daddy car, then fighting with one of his baby mammas, then fighting with the baby daddy. Turn a couple of pages and Ariah and the baby daddy are fighting.
I have nothing against strippers. Give me a fine stripper who knows how to work a pole. But I don't need a DETAILED description of Ariah's stripper routine. Like for why?
Then turn a couple more pages and Ariah is now fighting with some Lucian's ex girlfriend at a biker party..............................nope I'm out.
There are too many good books out there waiting for me. I can't waste my time.
These two are definitely fire and fire but it seems they balance each other out. Ariah went through a lot from her parents to her baby daddy and same with Lucian from his rebellion to his jail time. I believe they are the way they are because some of those experiences. Once they both realized it's more to life they calmed down some. I like how Lucian treats Ariah for sure, he never tried to change her or judge her he just liked her and that was that. The concern she felt for him showed her interest as well. I definitely see some spin-offs especially Knox and Blair and Kyron.
This was my first ever motorcycle club book and I’m so excited for the rest of the books. The chemistry between Ariah and Lucian was so passionate. I loved Ariah, she was a lot sometimes but she loves hard. Lucian has just got out of prison and trying not go back. I love Lucian because he always going to protects Ariah and her son. And he doesn’t care about her being stripper😮💨. The spice was so good🥵. The relationship between Lucian and his family was sweet. I’m so excited for Blair and Kyron book. I recommend everybody reads this when it comes out!!!
I loved this! Baby Ariah was a lil firecracker!! Her and her friends were nothing to play with lol. I loved how they had each others backs. Then here comes Lucian! Him and his family were crazy! They kept you laughing. Knox irritated me a tad bit because what was his problem with Lucian? He cut Lucian no slack at all!! I'm left with a lot of questions though. What's really going on with Blair and Kyron? How long is Kecion going to keep his fighting a secret? I can say more but I don't want to spoil it!!
