SUMMARY (55 words or less)
Stunned by the ending of the last book, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one. I’m still stunned by his actions and was stunned more by what came next. It’s hard to have tension in the final book in the series and still have a HEA. But here you have it.

★★★★★! Lace series, book 4 of 4. Intense, whirlwind romance with an enigmatic sexy, & controlling billionaire playboy and sizzling sex throughout!
If you haven’t read book 1, 2 and 3, please do so first. The Lace series follows Carter Morgan, a beyond gorgeous and sexy, ultra rich and successful, controlling and dominant, entitled, ruthless and untouchable playboy in his courtship with Evangeline. Be prepared to get swept off your feet by their story! It consists of 4 parts/novellas that combined make up a 300 page read.
Precious Lace – Book 4 (might contain spoilers)
Hero: Carter Jonathan Morgan/28 years old/billionaire/CEO-mogul-playboy/brown hair/steel blue eyes Heroine: Evangeline Austin, “Eva”/26 years old/recent UMASS graduate-fashion website editor/dark brown hair/green eyes
In the previous books we have followed Carter and Eva through their initial meeting and whirlwind courtship and on that special trip to Aspen. They fell for each hard and fast. And it has since been a tumultuous ride and though some intrigue has come from outside sources their biggest obstacles have always come from within.
Carter is simply an unforgettable hero. I have loved every moment of him! In this book he acted a little immature a couple of times, but he redeemed himself quickly. Eva, like I mentioned before, was strong at times and other times annoying which is often the case when paired with a larger-than-life hero.
Spellbinding storytelling, scorching sex scenes and of course, Carter Morgan! For me the perfect ending to the perfect read! I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and I have to say I am surprised that not more readers have caught on.
Adriane Leigh is an amazing story teller and an author to follow!

Would I recommend this series: Yes. Would I re-read this series: Maybe later. Would I read future books by this author: Yes.
Unfortunately, with each passing installment, this series has dwindled for me. Primarily due to Evangeline's insecurities and childish behavior.
She and Carter have made rash decisions along the way and now she has to face the consequences. Does she handle it like an adult? Nope....she runs, asks for space or starts to cry.
After moving at lightening speed and committing to Carter, she thinks that this would be a good time to slow down, get to know each other, take a breather.
Her insecurities get the best of her and she doubts Carter at nearly every opportunity she has, even though he has never shown ANY reason for her not to trust him.
Overall, this was a series that started strong and slowly fizzled with each passing novella. My frustration with Evangeline's behavior and decision making grew by the paragraph. I still don't feel like either of the characters had much depth and the plot felt too forced and DEFINITELY too rushed. In the end, we get a nicely tied bow with our dysfunctional couple living out their HEA. Evangeline...
Oh WOW... what a way to finish a story! Perfect ending for the perfect Morgan couple... Forget the tiring dramas and tears throughout over half of the book, 5 fat stars to Mrs Leigh for making myself sighed (in a very good way) just picturing the ending inside my head ;)
As I have said over and over again, these four books are such bad copies of fifty shades. The author has stolen everything from the fifty shades books, I can line all the ripoffs but anyone one who read the fifty books already know once they read the lace series.
I am elated. Carter & Eva, this is a love story to be celebrated. So much happens to these 2, the drama & turmoil that they deal with just coping with their relationship is exhausting & extraudinary at the same time.
Just as I did with the first 3 books in this series, I couldn't stop. It is impossible to not turn the page. The pull that this story has on me, it has all the elements needed for it to feel so real. Carter & Eva feel real. I care about what happens to them & when things happen to them I find myself gasping with shock & horror.
Like the previous instalments, Carter battles his own demons while trying to keep control of his life, like the ultimate Alpha male that he is. He has doubts & fears, contiually puting up walls. I's hard to break old patterns. Eva who thought she had her life sorted, has her own doubts & it doesn't help when some from Carters past give their opinions, wanted or not.
But the best part is even with all the problems that arise, which can be expected from such a quick union, they learn to trust each other & depend on each other, it's a battle. The ending without spoiling anything too much, is up there with some of the best for HEA.
Thankyou to the author for the ride that you go on with this couple. She takes this couples strips them down & then builds them up for you right in front of your eyes. You get to ride each emotion with them & in some cases it is exhausting. But by god it's worth it in the end.
Fantastic series & awesome story full of all the drama you expect from a great romance. It also doesn't hurt that it has some of the hotest love scenes, so intense & so full of love & passion that I've read. You can not help but fall head over heals in love with Carter & Eva.
This was a good book.. as usual it had both steamy and swoony scenes which for me are a major plus. I absolutely love Carter, can't say it enough. Eva.. well.. her insecurities were getting on my last nerve but I'm glad she reached a point where she realized it and finally stopped being such a pain. I found that both Carter and Eva overreacted at certain times but I loved how they made made up (usually this would be the moment where the steamy scenes would come in... two thumbs up for those). I LOVED the epilogue!!!!! Loved loved loved it!!! It was truly a HEA heaven. If you loved the Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy and The Crossfire Series, then you'll enjoy the Lace Series.
Wow!!! I completely feel in love with this series!!! I am over joyed that Carter and Eva got there happy ending :) I just finished and I want more Carter and Eva!! I know this is the last one and I'm a little sad about that, but it ended beautifully :D couldn't have asked for a better ending! Even had a little shimmer in my eyes from being so happy. Oh well....I guess I just have to go and re-read them again ;) I need another Carter fix ;)
Precious Lace is the best out of the Lace series. I had a much better appreciation for Evangeline and Carter. It's the typical relationship of miscommunication, insecurities, but most importantly realize how two people can be so deeply in love. The fourth book had more depth into the characters feelings and from both their perspectives. It took me through a roller coaster of emotions, happy and sad. Overall it was an awesome book!
Well it was an excellent ending! I loved the epilogue! So good.
This is the final book of the series. I do have to say Eva redeemed herself at the end. Throughout quite a bit of this book I disliked her, but by the end she was great. But Carter! He was so hot. Some of the things he says to Eva blew me away. He just wanted her so bad and constantly told her so. It was so great to see. Their story ended in a wonderful HEA.
Loved Carter and Evangeline story - two stubborn souls meant to be together. Reading their story I cried and smiled as they worked on their trust issues. And it filled me with hope seeing that Eva got a chance to beat the odds she was given when she was young. Loved her supporting friend and was thrilled when neither Nikki or Madeleine meddling ways got in the way of Carter's and Eva's happiness...... nice read!
The final instalment for Eva & Carter, again with plenty of sizzling hot, panty ripping reading material! If you are looking for a quick happy feel read this novella series is what you need! Looking forward to reading more books by Adriane Leigh, but small suggestion, not a Novella, as I needed a lot more of Mr Carter Morgan!!!
I LOVE IT! I seriously did, but I didn't like all the fights and stuff... and then everything was ok. The end happened and everyone was happy and all under control. I love the end, but I think that it was rushed. Anyways, if you want something funny, lovely, hot and with a happy ending... you should read these four books. Totally worth it.
Her characters are always enjoyable and so beautiful, flawed, enjoyable and they always say such beautiful lovely things besides the angst sex is so much fun to read.....I will read anything's she writes. It's so fun to read..
I love this series. I love the emotions the heat they had for each other. It was everything i needed to happen in this book. I hate to see it end. Thank you Adriane for a wonderful series.
Loved the whole series of these books fell in love with Carter and they made a fab couple it was a brilliant ending too gutted I've finished :) would recommend these books to everyone.
I normal hate these chopped up books. Really hate them. I kinda love this series in so many little ways. Yes it had 50 shades knock off moments but it also had it's own twists and turns.
Okay so I decided to wait until I finished all four parts before I reviewed so I could give this an overall review… I liked Carter’s and Eva’s story to a point but sadly it’s just the same old, same old… which is what drives me crazy. I saw Fifty Shades in this, Crossfire, Beautiful Bastard… and there was more but those are the ones that stuck out the most to me right off the bat… Carter was incredibly sexy and I liked him but I wanted to love him, I want one of these stories to out beat Fifty Shades one day… Eva… ugh I was in a like and hate opinion of her… especially over the only reason (well the only reason I feel) that made her put her wedding ring on the right finger, take Carter’s last name… so on and so forth… she wasn’t a gold digger nope she was just selfish and not thinking of his feelings… but anyways… I did like it… just wanted more… and there was still unanswered questions I had… like with Sawyer… there could have been so much more in this story… *BIG SIGH* Still waiting for a book that’ll beat Fifty Shades for me…
Commenting on the last book for the entire series …
This was a quick, forget everything and get lost in a type of read. Typical alpha males, finds the women he wants/has to have fall in a crazy super fast, chase and run … happily ever after.
But I loved every page of this book! Carter was your alpha male, but he was not crazy, nor super possessive, he knew when to push and when not to push. Eva was super sweet, and she fought the entire time, she may of had her moments but she didn't stop herself from wanting what she wanted.
I enjoyed reading this series. You may know ow everything is going to play out, but I still really loved it :)
4 Stars for book 4 and overall the series was 3.75 Stars. Fifty Shades and Crossfire fans would enjoy this, however the books are really novellas and for the price of what you are getting it is overpriced. With that said it would be better to be one or two books and get the same story. I enjoyed the characters but felt things moved so fast at times and then skipped several weeks at certain time periods. Overall, I think the author is talented, but would enjoyed a longer more indepth book that would have explored each characters background more.
1. It was the perfect ending....I was deliriously happy with it. 2. Carter is...yummy (for lack of a better word)
This was my favorite in the series...not because of a HEA or that it was the last book, but because it was that well written. Kudos to the author you have written an excellent series, and I loved every hill in this roller coaster of a ride. It had it's up and it's downs but it was worth every moment to read what was on the last few pages. There is nothing more I can say other than I LOVED this book, and series.
