Reid Larson #2

Murder and Mischief in the Hamptons

Rate this book
When Reid Larson moved into her employer's guest house, she had no idea how difficult her life would become. If dealing with the resident ghosts wasn't problematic enough, now there's a new poltergeist on the scene. In the midst of all this, Pia decides a remodel is in order and digs up a lot more than she bargained for.

About the author

T.L. Ingham

T. L. Ingham was born and raised in upstate New York, before living short stints in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Illinois, and then finally, Indiana where she lives today, residing with her husband and their two dogs. She is the author of the blog 'Did This Really Just Happen?'

Ingham says of herself "I am a happily married mother of two and step-mother of two more. I also own two dogs. Apparently, I do things in twos. I am also an author with two published e-books and several short stories. All of my works can be found on Smashwords.com. I have a very unique way of looking at things sometimes, (or so I have been told, but that could be that my friends are reluctant to call me crazy and therefore replaced 'insane' with 'unique.') Often, I find myself in positions where I am saying, 'Did this really just happen?' And so, the blog was born."

This is a fun, fast, entertaining read. In a half-star world it would get 3.5 stars, but only because the murder mystery plot wasn't truly central to the story, with 99% of it occurring in the last half of the book.

Still, the characters are a lot of fun; likeable, funny, with great dialogue. The ghosts are a hoot and they often steal the scenes with the best lines. I'll be looking for the release of a third book in this series.

Really closer to 3.5-3.9 stars. Funny, smart and laugh out funny. I love the characters...dead or alive! Looking forward to reading more about these people and their ghosts. I recommend this book highly...you won't regret it.

This sequel did not disappoint. It was just as good as the first in the series. I can't wait for Book 3.

I wonder if they will ever properly edit books again. Spelling, grammar, syntax, punctuation--this one by far not as bad as some, but still,,,
