Bryan W. Dull writes books, which, if you really knew him, makes perfect sense as that’s all he has done since sixth grade; spinning a yarn at a moment’s notice. He is best known for writing horror and suspense stories with his first novel, Solstice, being his first experiment into publishing; it was a bet to do it, by the way. In 2016, he tried his hand at something different and published a personal story, Pill Hill. Now, Bryan W. Dull is becoming known for being a literary voice of hope…with some scares mixed into it occasionally. He lives in Fort Wayne, IN with his wife and daughter, and plans on writing more stories that have something to say in this strange world that we live in.
I was given an e-copy of this short by the the author in exchange for an honest review. I also bought a copy in support of the author and his mad writing skills.
This made me cry and took my breath away as I read it... my Daddy left when I was a year old, never to be seen again... a tragic scene all to common in today's society.
Bryan writes this from the perspective of the young child. Absolutely Touching..
A very powerful story told through the eyes of a child
This is one of the stories that will touch anyone with a pulse. It is very powerful and informative. This is the story walking out through the eyes of his young child.
I enjoyed this story. I understand that it is supposed to be from the eyes of a child, but there are still some grammatical errors in this short story. I still highly recommend this story.
THIS STORY IS THE MOST AMAZING, HEART WRENCHING, ROLLERCOASTER RIDE OF EMOTIONS I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN A FEW PAGES. I HAVE NEVER READ A SHORT STORY THAT MADE THIS MUCH OF AN IMPACT ON ME LIKE THIS ONE DID. I WAS CRYING LIKE A BABY AND RUNNING THROUGH SO MANY EMOTIONS, THAT I WAS HAVING TROUBLE PROCESSING THEM. THIS IS A MUST READ FOR EVERYONE!
10*s. I received an eARC copy of this book directly from the author in return for an honest review. WOW...What an awesome yet very sad story of true life. This is a story that many parents face when having small children. I enjoyed this story very much and I highly recommend this story to married couples with small children, especially new parents. Thank you, Bryan W. Dull, for this true eye opener. This was such an amazing story, I bought a copy too.
Observed from the point of view of a toddler who feels ill. This turned out to be a disturbing read.
The toddlers pov of her part in her daddies leaving was very disturbing. She tries to get his attention when she feels bad. But he has his own issues. When he leaves she tries to bribe him to stay with her favourite soft toy doogie! A truly disturbing but riveting read.
I don’t know if this can be defined as a novella, as it’s more like a short essay. The story starts at 41% and took me exactly three minutes to read. I’m not sure what to say or think about it. When it ended I just went “huh”? It’s the same way I feel about abstract art. “Daddy” is a super fast read, but not something I would pay to read. I’m glad I got it as a free download.

This is an extremely short read from the view point of a small child. All the little girl wanted was her daddy. This little story gives you a look into a childs eyes. However you are left needing more details, but the story does show a very common reality. WaAR
I knew this was a short read, but I didn't know it was only a few pages. The story has a short build up but then before you know it, it's the end of the book. At least the book has a nice cover.
