Aeverie and I both enjoyed learning more about snakes. we enjoyed the picture directory in the back telling us what each snake was called. great illustrations.
Alice loves snakes. This book has excellent illustrations, but hardly gives any facts about snakes. It's a rhyming book that should probably be considered Level 1 for reading. That said, the last few pages show the names of all the snakes pictured in the book and were really cool.
This is a book that talks about many characteristics and traits of different types of snakes. It would be a good book for students in kindergarten through second grade to learn about lifecycles and reptiles. It gives many different examples of different types of snakes and the different things that they can do. For example, one page talks about a snake that can eat a crocodile while another page talks about a snake with two heads. This would be great for students who show an interest in snakes, however for somebody like me who cannot stand the sight of them, it would not be very much fun!
