This book took my breath away. From the very first page, the hero Micah is 100% all in for the heroine, Liliana. They've known each other for years. He's her brother's best friend. Micah has always, always been her protector. What she doesn't know is the depth of his love for her. He's one step ahead - when danger comes to her, he knows, and he protects her.
What are some things that Micah did to prove his love to her? He calls her "Rebel". He sends her her favorite food when she's having a bad day. She's his boss and gets rid of those who don't get their relationship. He helps bathe her. He protects her. Kills for her. And still shows her nothing but gentleness and love. Oh, did I mention he's a virgin and never so much as thought of another woman? :0
Holy shit y'all this book was amazing. Please hold me back from immediately rereading it! This is my first book by this author and it will not be my last. I loved her writing style.

I loved Elena Reyes' mafia series and this one definitely didn't let me down. Its a billionaire book that skirts mafia and politics. Micah has wanted his best friends little sister for a while, but has decided to wait to make his move until she's done with college. That doesn't mean he's not going to keep his eye on her, chase away the boys, and stalk her when he wants, lol. He's been waiting a while, but the waits almost up :)
Phew! One Rule is a bit of a slow burn, but when it finally starts cooking, its at 10000 degrees, lol. The storyline definitely held my attention and the chemistry between these two characters was crazy! I loved Liliana. How smart and secure in herself she was. And I LOVED how Micah loved her so completely. Everything he did was with her as his focus. Really enjoyed it and can't wait for the next book!

This is my first book by Elena and wow that shocking turn of events was brilliant. I seriously didn’t see it coming. In my opinion, the beginning and a little of the middle was a little slow for me but I understand the premise of world building and how vital that is to understand this book as well as other shall it become a series. However, I yelled at both MCs, was giddy, cried, and ultimately hearted the hell outta this book. I for one also loved Mr. Micah Royce, his st@lk3r tendencies throughout the whole book should’ve been seen as violating or outrageous but it was so cute, beautiful, and hot 🥵 He did everything in the name of Liliana Armas and he didn’t shy away from letting others know she was not to be touched (his one rule, no one touch, harm, or go near her). Now, you wouldn’t characterize him as a mafia man more like a business man with violent tendencies and tactics. Lots and lots of descriptive *hurting* so if that’s not your jam please skip it for your own mental health. All in all, I recommend this book if you love a bad “boy” to everyone else but a cinnamon roll to his girl 🤭

And this was only at 4% in and the Hero was already sneaking into the heroine's room and jacking off to her sleeping form. Needless to say, I was really excited and proceeded to fully immerse myself in this provocative tale for the next couple of chapters. I was finding this book to be an incredible read! There were parts that even jerked on my emotions and if you can make me tear up or cry, that's a win for me! BUT...
At 87% I DNF'ed! I mean, I was right there at the finish line too, but this book had taken the weirdest turn and I just couldn't bring myself to put in that extra 30-45 minutes or so that it would take to finish it.
Virgin heroines are my favorite. I know it's not for everyone and a lot of people don't want emphasis put on "purity" these days, so they don't like a virgin heroine. And that's actually where I agree. I like the idea of the hero introducing pleasure to a heroine and teaching her all the joys that can be found in exploring her sexuality.
You've been warned!
"Knowing it’ll be my ring on her finger when the night is through—and I’m wearing her blood on my cock like a badge of honor—is my only input in the preparations."
The hero refused to have traditional sex with the heroine until their wedding night, but insisted on going through the back door prior to...if you get my drift.
That makes no sense in any way, shape, or form. If it's meant to be coming from a "purity" angle, which like I said-- I'm already not the biggest fan of-- then taking the other entrance defeats the purpose! But, no, as long as he gets her virgin blood on his cock on their wedding night, that's all that matters??? And I know there's going to be a lot of people who disagree with me and even a small part of me feels bad for feeling this way, BUT I don't like a virgin HERO.
I can't help it. I like what I like, and what I like is an experienced, "fully" equipped hero corrupting an innocent heroine.
And this hero that is insistent he get blood on his wedding night, also "saved" himself for the heroine, yet HAD to start having anal sex with the heroine as soon as he confessed his love and intentions to her. Intentions might I add that had been in place for quite a while and the heroine didn't have any say so in. I guess it was a fortunate coincidence that she was so infatuated with the hero too because he was going to have her anyway.
One final annoyance and then I'm off....there were quite a lot of people "pissing their pants" in this novel. Like A LOT. I mean, how often do people actually pee their pants!? Because apparently this hero was so intimidating and badass that every time he had to deal with a bad man, they always peed their pants!
Anyway, so if none of the aforementioned bothers you, I'd recommend this book because it was a really enjoyable read until it crashed and burned with all that nonsense at the end. That's why it only seems fair to give it the 3 stars (more accurately 2.5 but GoodReads won't let us do that) but I wholeheartedly disliked the direction it was taken in towards the end and wish it hadn't gone that route.

I've read many Mafia Romance, but this one just made no sense to me, neither did those not-stop inner monologues of H and h, nor their first and only sex scene. The plot included more personal thoughts than actions.

Absolutely in love with this one extremely hot from the start. NO ONE can touch her off limits, possessive ,obsessed since they were kids, will do anything and everything for her. The small bantering back and forth is prefect. Micah is goals saving himself for the one and only love of his life, his world,his queen is so beautiful..Liliana melts for the man she thinks doesn't see her the same way she does no matter how unbelievably obvious he makes it to her..you fall in love with these two so fast the tension between them is unimaginable,the best kind of foreplay there could be...
I need more of this family the brother and "adopted" cousin what's going on with them.

This was a wild ride through the possessive alpha world of Micah.
I think I was not really ready for his grumpy, stalkerish character.
I was shocked at the beginning of the story.
This story is yet again a dark, disturbing, and unpredictable romance told in the usual fascinating Elena's way 😉

A bunch of criminals who are trying to destroy this man's happiness with all they have.
And to round it all off nicely, imagine what this obsessive man does to this bunch of criminals 😏

It's a brutal, raw, slow burn story, with a touch of mafia vibe and unusual, hot erotic scenes.

I got till 50% and I just couldn’t careless about the rest of this book. So I skipped till the ending and that was a mess too.
This guy was so crazy about her but didn’t do anything about it. So it’s all in both of their heads. Neither one talks. I hate books like this. And I don’t consider the guy all that JP if he doesn’t make a move. Makes no sense.
One good thing. He waited for her and she’s been it for him.

Now Micah Royce..this man is 100% a stalker but in the best way possible. He does everything for his “little rebel” and I can’t help but gosh and sigh at his obsession.
Liliana is an amazing bad ass. I have never read about a girl who was in IT and as cool as her. The chemistry between these two left me wanting more!
I love the way this story was told and how the plot twist had me gasping and at the edge of my set to finish the book!

One Rule captivated from the first sentence,

Oh my Micah’s obsession (or love) with Liliana know no bounds and he will go to the end of the earth to make sure she is living her life happily and he's always in the background making sure she's safe!
When I read this amazing story; I cried, screamed, cursed, and had a whole bunch of emotions, be prepared for some steamy moments, some mafia drama, and a plot twist!
Elena is my one of my favorite authors, and I HAVE read ALL her books. She is exceptional at delivering an EPIC story! Amazing writer! She's also an amazing person!

The blurb was so promising but nothing happened between hero and heroine, he was obsessed with her from the moment they met, but we couldn't see their relationship grow. It was just hero saying possessive things, stalking her and keeping her safe. Also there were only few spicy that too in last three chapters only.

I. Absolutely. LOVED. This! I was drawn in by the IMMEDIATE spice (what a way to catch a girl's attention 🥵) and I immediately wanted to read the rest. I loved Liliana and how independent she is - literally the definition of a badass FMC. I'm a wee bit mad that it took SO LONG for Liliana and Micah to get together, but when they did - PHEW🥵. Micah is the stereotypical possessive bad boy, who would happily kill for his “rebel”, and I loveeee it. The spice was constant throughout the book, but the plot didn't suffer at all. All the characters were incredibly built and not a single aspect was lacking.
At 300 pages, this took me just under 3.5 hours to read. It does contain multiple adult scenes and violent content so please don't read if these topics are not your cup of tea. Highly recommend.

“My precious little rebel.”
I loved this book soooo much! Micah and Lileana were perfect for each other. The obsession Micah had Lileana is utterly perfect and Lileana’s innocence is endearing. Slow burn but with some spicy build up 🖤

Idk if I’m just stupid or something but I was confused the entire time I was reading this.
Didn’t enjoy it at all. There was just so much unanswered stuff.
He stalked her for years and looked after her, everyone in both families knew they were going to get married one day and how much he loved her but of course she was so oblivious it was annoying. I didn’t understand why he made them wait to be together, he said she had to grow and flourish but if you’re in her life anyway and control every aspect of it then why not just be with her.

✯✯3.5-4 Rebel & Captain Grumps Filled Stars!!!✯✯
This is not my first book that I’ve read from this author. The last series I read was amazing and I loved it. I’m glad I read that first Bc if I read this book first I’m not sure if I would’ve given her another chance.
I went into this with high expectations and was excited to see a new release from Elena M. Reyes but I legit had such a hard time getting and staying into the book.
Micah Royce and Liliana Armas met when they were in their teenage years and they fell madly in love with each other and for whatever reasons they never told each other. Micah isis best friends with her older brother Lionel and she thinks he looks at her line his best friends kid sister.
Micah took over his family business and he’s a very powerful man who people both respect and are afraid of. He’s got one rule and that Liliana AKA his Rebel is untouched. Untouched from everybody. Men, either men who are wanting to date her or cause her harm. She’s to be left alone. But, when Micah finds out that there is someone coming after her and her family he’s out for blood.
For me the storyline kinda dragged on but that wasn’t the part that bothered me the most. It was his obsession with her. IMO he took it WAY too far!! She has no idea that she has no privacy whatsoever Bc there’s cameras everywhere. Every wall, closet, furniture, car you name it and he’s watching her 24/7. It gave me a sour taste in my mouth ESP what he’d do to her at nighttime.
I also had been confused from the beginning what deal/agreement/arrangement whatever you wanna call it between Micah and her family. He couldn’t claim her before a date Bc he decided she needed to do something first. But, what were the details and why was it never mentioned to Lili even at it end? I would’ve been happier to know what all the details that were hidden were.
There was other things that got buried and lost and I felt that the end was rushed and I’m sad about that Bc I was really looking forward to reading it. I will read Elena’s next release Bc maybe this one wasn’t my favorite but the next just might be.

He is a man who thinks he doesn't deserve her because she is so innocent and pure. He has a past that is marked by death and a future he knows that will cause him to bathe the streets of Miami with the blood of her enemies. A true tragedy has affected Liliana's life. Her father was taken from her and she is going to find out who did it and make them pay if it is the last thing she does. However, she doesn't know that he is watching. Always watching while she is searching and getting closer to her goal. If she is in danger he is ready to make sure that danger never touches her. He only has one rule and someone dared to break it. You do not touch what belongs to him and she certainly does and he just can't forgive that. I loved these two characters and I might just have become a little obsessed with Micah as he is with his Liliana. They have some amazing banter and a chemistry that just bleeds off the pages of this book. She has always had a crush on him and feels for him in ways that she thinks he has no idea about or will ever return if he was to find out. However, he feels exactly the same way about her and is saving himself for the day he can claim her as his. This book is so amazing. You will not be able to lay it down and I certainly fell in love with these two characters. This book takes off too and there is a lot going on. I loved the twists and turns and the other characters in the book. I hope we get a book for each and every one of them. Do not miss this book, or you are missing something amazing. I've not stopped thinking about it since I finished it. It actually put me in a reading slump where you just can't seem to find a read that makes you feel the way this one does. Come and join me. You won't regret it.
