My management book Smart Flexibility was published by Gower in January 2013. Previous publications include the Smart Working Handbook, Workhubs: Smart Workspace for the Low Carbon Economy, and Can Homeworking Save the Planet?

My first novel, Shades of Green, was published in February 2013. It's is a challenging political thriller set in a near-future Britain where environmental issues dominate the political agenda and the ideological spectrum runs from Grey to Deepest Green. More at http://shadesofgreenbook.com

I currently divide my time between Cambridgeshire and China - for family reasons and I'm researching the next book to be set in 1930s and 40s China.

As penance for writing such a long novel, I'm also now writing very short fiction - microstories - some of which can be found on my writing website at http://www.andylake.co.uk
