My name is not actually Penny Dreadful. It is Penelope Jones. The 'Dreadful' bit is my dad's JOKE. But I am definitely not dreadful... it's just sometimes people don't appreciate the brilliance of my ideas! I mean, it was a BRILLIANT IDEA to hunt a VAMPIRE and Cosmo said Mr. Bentley-Bucket was only pretending to be human. Also Grandma Overall who does not see the BRIGHT SIDE needed cheering up, so I don't know why she didn't like her super-sparkly MAKEOVER. And the water spraying all over the kitchen was completely worth it because I ended up being a Record Breaker!

As a child I buried myself in books both at home in Essex and at my grandparents’ houses in Cornwall, where I spent a large part of my time, and where many of my stories are now set. Books and later films were an escape not just from where I was but who I was, which, as I saw it, was pretty much a geek. They gave me the freedom to become someone else, from George in the Famous Five to Velvet Brown winning the Grand National to Baby dancing the Chachacha with Johnny Castle.
there is 3 books ,penny dreadful vs the vampire, looks on the bright side and the world record. my favorite was the world record. the book shows how they feel and it shows it. I think it make the characters fell like there talking to you.

This was a fun and funny read, but I could not get over Penny starting every sentence with "AND" and turning everything into a run-on sentence. It made it difficult to read this out loud (hello, out of breath!)...ever my six yr old doesn't speak that way, so I felt like it was somewhat insulting to Penny's intelligence. That said, I laughed out loud at several sections of this book!
Full of mischief and mayhem Penny Dreadful is a whirlwind of fun. I like this book, but in my opinion I thought each book (3 in 1) ended very suddenly.
