Angelina “Flame” Harling is an Enforcer with an affinity for fire. The gorgeous brunette is the equal of any Enforcer on the job, and she is a speed demon on her motorcycle.

Blade is both Bradley Worthington’s preferred moniker and weapon. There is no blade he is not an expert with. He is also handsome, sexy and built like a tank.

The Enforcers have joined forces with the human police to eliminate a magic user who is distributing a particularly nasty drug in human clubs. The joint task force has its work cut out for them. The dealer has a powerful mage behind him. Flame and Blade’s growing relationship has to take a back seat to the job at hand.

Ms. Lapthorne has combined a suspenseful thriller with an erotic love story. Blade and Flame are charismatic and powerful characters with sizzling chemistry. Their skills in the bedroom and in the field are truly awesome and I never tire of them. The other characters are also well written and interesting, adding color and dimension to a plot full of excitement, action and surprising twists and turns. I look forward to reading more of this series—the other members of the team intrigue me.

The Enforcers and the human detectives continue to work together in this thrilling action packed paranormal romance. The captivating and charming charters from the previous book continue to work the case and the author adds some spice to the story by introducing new characters and new possibilities of where the series might go in the future ensuring the reader really wants to read the next book. I guess I should state that while the case in this book did start in the previous book, you don’t have to read number three in order to enjoy this one, but you probably get more out of the story if you know what leads up to where they are now.
