With no plan in mind, Monroe knows only one thing. That if she doesn’t take this chance to escape, the next beating might be her last. Out of gas, food, and luck, desperate for rest and safety, she pulls up to the side of a residential street to gather her thoughts.
Michael, a free clinic doctor and club owner, wants to help the damsel in distress, but his very presence causes her to pass out from a panic attack.
She may be the Little he’s been looking for, but will her fear keep him away? Will he be able to help her or will her worst nightmare come back with a vengeance?
Author note: This is an age play book. If you are comfortable reading about age play, ABDL, spicy scenes, discipline (including spanking, corner time, and more), then this is the book for you!
I really don’t like authors, who write about Littles like they are stupid.
Wow, the beginning of this book was rather depressing. Monroe is on the run from her boyfriend, Jared who beat her regularly. When she stops for a break on a random street, Michael finds her and tries to help her. This is where I got a wee bit annoyed with it. Monroe for some bizarre reason thinks that Jared sent Michael to capture her. When shes parked in front of Michaels house???? Erm….. Michael tries to help Monroe as she’s badly injured and he’s a doctor, and she’s convinced that he works for Jared. As she gradually starts to trust Michael Jared is looking for Monroe and threatening her. It’s quite tense at times then it gets silly. 😔
Michael looks after Monroe and is really sweet with her, but I didn’t like Monroe. She can’t do washing, cooking or cleaning and I’m sorry but came across as a bit stupid at times. I don’t understand why some authors make their Littles so incapable of doing anything.
Hmm think I might go back to Kate Oliver books. I enjoy them a lot more and their Littles aren’t stupid.
Extremely physically abused Monroe, on-the-run, has to finally stop from exhaustion. She just happens to stop in front of Daddy Dom Dr. Michael's house and when he discovers her, he takes her in and helps her recover. She needs serious therapy at this point, but no, no therapy ever. Their background EVERYTHING is never really fleshed out or made sense, ie: while imprisoned by her abusive ex she wasn't allowed out or able to talk to anyone in six years, or even had a phone, yet she was able to buy DD/lg books and had secretly saved up some money to run with; how? There's other examples of inconsistencies or unbelievable cooincidences too, but the thing I couldn't reconcile was Dr. Michael's character. He seemed okay one minute then kind of weak and unsure at times, like a Dom-wanna'-be the next. Whimpie. It was like he was two different people and his thoughts didn't sound very medically advanced either. And how could he have so many different jobs and responsibilities and still have that much time for her? He couldn't. And if she has a killer after her why was her security so loose? So many questions and not enough answers. And only one full sex scene during the epilogue; what?! Probably won't be continuing. Very disappointed!
There were a few inconsistencies that stood out and left me with questions. I wish there had been more detail about the main character’s past, especially how she managed to save enough money to run away — that part felt glossed over. And when it came to her abusive ex, it was jarring to find out he was just “shot in the head” with no real explanation or follow-up. That moment could’ve been a big turning point, but it felt rushed and left unresolved.
Daddy’s Little Survivor is the second installment in Everly Raines’ Missouri Daddies series. In it she chronicles the romantic journey of Monroe and Michael. She was in an abusive relationship with Jared Anderson, a corrupt FBI agent. Over the course of six years, he broke her spirit and her body. Destiny intervenes when he leaves the door unlocked and she escapes. In physical pain and mental anguish, she manages to drive away from Maine ending up in Missouri. That where Michael finds her—pulled on the side of the road in front of his home. Despite the condition he finds her in, she steals his heart. Will he be able to heal her back to health? Will Jared pursue her? How will she react to the tenderness Michael gives her? Can they find happiness? To find out what unfolds, you must read this age-gap, age-play romantic suspense.
I so appreciate Ms. Raines’ skill with literary devices such as conversation dialog and internal monologues, dual POV, and descriptive language. This plot is definitely a character driven plot as readers witness the way in which Monroe grows. I like how Michael is understanding, empathetic, protective, and caring as he guides her along her growth journey. I did not appreciate how this plot dragged on. It reminded me of the first book. So much time is spent on reiterating what transpired between the two lead chacters from each individual perspective. This seemed repetitive. What saved me from being turned off with the repetitive pace was the introduction of new and previous secondary characters to keep Monroe safe. I like the mystery man who helped her in the end. I will not elaborate so as not to spoil it for others. I am curious if there will be subsequent books in this series.
This book is not for everyone, the MFC is physically and mentally abused and is running away when she is found by our MMC. Her injuries are shown in detail as is the details and her PTSD from it. She does heal under the MMC but if thats not your cup of tea then sit this one out. Themes such as kink, age gap, daddy kink, and babying is also something you should be aware of. it wasn't a bad book if thats what you're into, but it was a little OTT for me, which isn't the books fault.
He calls her “little bunny” and i fell in love. I may not know much about DDLG, but i do know about comfort in teddies and wanting to turn off for a while an dlet someone do the thinking for you when things get hard. THere is no erotisim in this book, save for the last chapter, it was mostly her learning to trust and forming a relationship. It did annoy me a little bit that he went straight to Littles and Daddies when he saw her stuffed bunny… “ He knew that her having a stuffed animal wasn’t much to say she was a Little, but he wanted to be prepared if she was. Not a lot of adults carried around a stuffed animal if they weren’t Littles or had kids. [...] What if she was a Little and he didn’t have anything?” ... She could have been a single mother? Or just a memory toy… straight assuming was kinda dumb, but it's made clear she's a Little (she assumed hes aDaddy Dom by the way he talks within 30 seconds of watching him), even if he doesn't know that straight away, it makes sense for their puzzle pieces to fit like that - it would be a short story if she wasn't. He saves himself with → “He needed to remember patience and also the fact that he didn’t know if she was into the DDlg lifestyle. He had seen the stuffie in the back of her car, but that didn’t mean anything. Yes, it made him feel it was more likely she was a Little, but it wasn't a certainty. He would never forgive himself if he made her uncomfortable.”
Although, having said that ive read alot of stories where the woman happen to turn out to be submissive and enjoy certain dynamics so i guess the same applies here too, its just a topic im not to experienced in. But when he saves her he seems more distracted by the fact he hasn’t Little-proofed his house rather than the fact shes a beaten a woman that hes rescued. I enjoy caring, doting and protective romances, especially when the women are treated by queens, although i think the diapers/ bottles/ corner time is a little step too far for me, as well as the fact he mentions spanking/ Corner time and lines when little girls lie after he asks if shes hiding from someone and she panics and denys it, even though the signs are there… that is not the time to even mention a punishment, even if shes into it, she needs help and trauma rescue first, not the risk of more hitting when she isnt the mindset to tell the different between good hits and bad hits. But im a “death before DNF” kinda girl, and there were good emotions, rescue, character moments.
Overall, this was a good story however it leaned heavily on Michael (Daddy) taking care of scared Monroe (Little Bunny) after he found her in her car in front of his house. She is running from her abusive ex and scared out of her mind. She is constantly scared and stressed and he is constantly trying to take care of her and get her to eat.
I think the story tends to skip forward with her scared of Michael one minute then allowing him to take care of her the next. Steps are missed and only referred to in passing such as him putting a diaper on her and feeding her a bottle yet we learn in detail why he wants her to eat more. She barely knows him and is an abuse survivor yet allows him to insert a butt plug. Things felt a little disjointed and rushed in areas and drawn out in others. It's never explained how her abuser finds her and the ending is a little too neat and convenient.
I would have enjoyed more details in the areas of her learning to trust Michael and allowing him to care for her and less skipping forward. It seems the first time he put a diaper on her or fed her a bottle should be detailed. It is also strange that he would insist she eat heavy protein-rich foods that are hard for her to eat instead of light foods and the protein shakes she enjoys. An entire bowl of soup is better than a few bites that then sit uncomfortably in her stomach. Too much time was spent on that.
The story has a good premise and is compelling. I did enjoy it, but feel it could have been better with some shifted focus onto his actual care for her. There was very little steam.
The second book in the series.. what an amazing journey the author has had between her debut book and this. Really shows a positive difference in character and story development. The first book was a coozy feel good book but this one I actually looked forward to read in between you know.. life.
So on to this story. I liked it. Good pace where it didn’t feel to rushed but not but not that slow that you caught yourself thinking “ohh man just get over it.”
The heroine was really animated and just feelt reel, and the hero? Steady but also how can i put this? Not book like. You know when the hero is supposed to know everything and fix it type of person? Here? He actually had human responses like he recognizes that he doesn’t have the skills necessary to protect her from her ex so instead of going of half cocky he calls in help from those who know how to tackle this type of situations. So A+ for that.
I volunteered to read this book and leave my honest review to help my fellow readers to choose their next read.
This was written a lot better than the first book in this interconnected series. The story flowed quite well and the author wrote the FMC well, I know some may see her as weak but let's be honest here, in the real world if someone went through similar trauma it would impact on a person severely. The lack of trust, the questioning of herself and the relationship was quite realistic, even with her being a bit of an emotional mess. The MMCs thoughts etc. were written so much better and more... I guess, grown up than the first book. I have read a ridiculous amount of DDlg novels (my guilty pleasure), I would like more of the dynamic written in the book, bit more smut and punishments would be good but that's just my preference. Everly seems to be a new author and you can see her writing is improving, I look forward to seeing her future work.
Firstly, the trigger warning of “Talk of abuse” is not sufficient. The level of abuse described is significant and horrifying! The FMC has terrible flash backs and it appears throughout the book. It’s most than “talked” about…its descriptive and is pretty much the theme of the book.
Second issue, the dual POV is a retelling of the information without really being necessary. You’re basically rereading something.
My final issue is I can see where the author is trying to bring in new characters for other books/series, but they are inserted weirdly and in an unbelievable stroryline so much so that I don’t feel the need to read their “story”. Normally, I can overlook that sort of weirdness, but in this case I’m really uninterested.
This book is all about hope, trust, and new beginning. I have to say if you are someone going through some of the things that Madison did while she was trapped with Jared find a way to get out and to a safe place. No one should ever have to go through what she did but sadly there are mean people out there that seem to think that’s okay to beat on another person. It is not okay. This book could have triggers for someone but it is so good at the end. It was an ending I was not expecting. The other thing I liked about this book was it was about the story not the sex. It is about Madison getting out of a horrible situation and Michael finding her and helping her to heal while trying to keep her safe. That and trying to get to Jared before her found her and tried to kill her. I would highly recommend this book.
Everly Raine has done it again!!!! Loved reading Michael and Monroe's story . With many books out there there might be some triggers , if you think you can't handle them remember that is okay ! Having been in a close situation as Monroe it broke my heart for her but was put back together as the story went on. Yes she might be a little bit it showed just how strong she really was , and Michael is the perfect example that not all guys are the same . Love that he was consistent , gentle , and patient with her . When something like this happens you have to relearn things and it doesn't happen right away and Everly nailed that to a T ! Can't wait too see the other characters stories !
Monroe had only one thing on her mind, get as far away as she can from her boyfriend Jarred. Beaten to an inch of her life, hungry, scared, she is lost in a neighborhood and stops to get her bearings. She is found by Michael, a doctor and club owner who wants to help her heal and take her away from harm. Exhausted, bruised , weary of men, she needs to fight for her life but doesn’t have the energy to fight Micheal’s help. When her little comes out to play, Micheal is in heaven because he thinks he found his forever. Nail biting drama, suspense and men who will do everything in thier power to protec this little from further harm.
Kindle - interesting story combining an abusive possessive stalker ex with the DDlg bdsm relationship. I feel like the author really hated this fmc, like did she really have to have such a horrendous backstory? Like the abusive possessive stalker, ex wasn't enough, she had to lose per family, get tossed through several foster homes with abusive caregivers and couldn't have any good positive relationships. At least she ends with both a Daddy and starting a relationship with her blood brother. There is a lot of in the mc's head thoughts, and it can get a bit repetitive as the fmc works through her fears and previous relationship conditioning.

This is the second book in the series but can be read as a standalone. It is a DD/lg story but it really focuses on the relationship and caring aspect more than anything else. This is very low spice, only one punishment and at the very end is one steamy scene. All that being said the story is so good. Monroe is so traumatized at the beginning and Michael is so patient with her. About halfway through the suspense ramps up and the end was a big surprise. This is only the author’s second book but you would never guess it.
Wow, i just loved this story by Everly Raine, she certainly has outdone her self here. The book and story is absolutely beautiful as are the characters. Its a must read for sure beaten just one to many times. Now with her injuries she has to stop and she stops outside Michaels house, who is a doctor. Michael is a daddy as well as a doctor and is looking for his little, and when he sees Monroe he knows she is his. The only thing is it will take alot to make her trust her again, she has been though so much. Slowly and surely she begins to trust, only to find that the Monster has found her again. Can her daddy protect her or will the monster get to her again?
A story really worth reading, i definitely will be following this author for more of her books!
Loved the story! A Little who escapes an abusive relationship and a doctor Daddy who finds and saves her. From the very first page, this story will touch your heart and make you want to cheer this couple on. Very well written and the author had a real handle on the characters. I really hated to come to the end. A must read for anyone who loves a good read.
Way more plot than the last one and more engaging.
Michael is a Daddy Dom, and Monroe is a little.
Monroe is running from an abusive relationship with a powerful ex and is found by Michael, a former doctor who volunteers at a free clinic, who tries to help her heal.
Content warning: age play, ABDL, spanking, discussion of being underweight and nutrition, past physical and psychological abuse
This book was about so much more than a DDlg story. It was about the power of healing from trauma and learning what true unconditional love it all about. Michael rescues Monroe and protects her from her past- the story draws you in from page one! This is the second book in the series but can be read as a stand alone.
This was definitely more of a thriller than I expected after the first in the series, but it was a welcome surprise! It was still cute, but with a definite edge of danger. I also love the side characters that were introduced; it seems perfectly set up for them to get their own stories too, which I’m actually super impressed by! A great story, a great series, and I’m looking forward to more.
This was one of the sweetest story I have ever read. When Doctor Michael finds a hurt Monroe in her car, he quickly takes her under his care. Monroe has just escaped an abusive boyfriend and has so many trust issues. However, Dr Michael has been very patient, supportive and caring since the beginning. I really enjoyed reading this story.
I enjoyed this book even more than the first. The suspense part of the book kept me at the edge of my seat. I enjoyed how the relationship between Michael and Monroe develops. I like that some of the characters from book 1 show up in this one. The best part of the story is that Monroe does need Michael, but Michael needs her just as much. They need each other.
Oh my! This was a tear-jerker! Monroe was put into the foster system from birth, never knew her family. Lots of stuff happens, she gets into trouble with a bad guy and manages to escape. No more info out of me! Read the book. Not too many errors and there is a good ending. I plan on reading more by this author.
I loved how a girl on the run from a evil guy stopped in front of a doctor's house. Very convenient. ;-) But I've heard and seen some stuff in my 71 years and know this could happen. It's sad that evil men in authority take advantage of a vulnerable woman or child to such an extent. Good for you Every Rains for bringing this out. Great read!
This was a cute read. Many spots in the story needed a little more meat and potatoes to make the flow of the story a little smoother. Ending could have been a whole lot better. Book just drops off at the end after introducing a new character and small bk story.
This is the first book I have read by Everly Raine and it will not be the last. Monroe was running from a very bad relationship with Jared. She made it almost across the country until she stopped to figure out where she was and almost passed out until Michael knocked on her car window. This is a very passed book and a lot happens and it will keep you wanting more. Enjoy
When fear takes over, you can move mountains to achieve greatness. Or learn you are stronger than you ever knew. And even a Little Bunny can find what she didn't know she needed or that trust, love and family were out there looking for her.
This is an age play romance is a story of trust and healing. Monroe was able to find that in Michael, especially as Monroe ex come into the picture. The storyline has a great element of suspense and plenty of heat.
There was a lot of unnecessary thoughts from the FMC. The beginning of the book was almost torture to get through. Repeated scenes from different views. I skipped a LOT just to finish the book.
Oh my goodness Michael and Monroe were so good together....poor Monroe . I loved this book! Sucha good read I am in love withall these characters and I can't wait to read more!
