One sentence. One phrase. It will haunt him if he ignores it, but his heart isn’t in the Dom business at the moment.
Aiden and his partners put their blood, sweat, and plenty of submissives’ tears into making Fairford Manor a huge success, but owning a luxury kink resort hasn’t turned out quite as he expected. After the latest disaster, it’s time for a vacation from the Manor, to hopefully reset his life.
But he can’t forget Olivia—especially once she’s at the gates having a full-blown panic attack. And what’s worse, she’s stunning and sweet and fragile. Nothing tempts him more than something broken. So he’ll be her Dom. He’ll teach her to let down her ironclad guard and submit. Then he can walk away.
Olivia knew she found her perfect Dom the moment he carried her through the gates. Tall, brooding, gorgeous . . . and kind. She’d never been one to attract kindness. But this was it. The final piece to fix her screwed-up puzzle. This kink resort and this man had to be the thing that worked.
She’ll have to trust. She’ll have to lay herself bare. If she can do it, her life might never be the same.
Bay Sinclair is the author of ultra high-heat contemporary romance with broken girls, sexy Doms, and lots of heart. When she isn’t writing, she’s an avid foodie in search of the next great culinary adventure, and she drinks entirely too much green tea.
I took a very very long break from reading BDSM romances. But this was absolutely lovely. I really enjoyed both Aiden and Olivia in this.
There is one scene where he does spank her out of anger and fear, but I feel like the author took what would have been a reason for me to put the book down and turned it into something really lovely. But I do want to mention that just in case that might be triggering for Others.
It was extremely hot, and very very emotional. I'm very glad that I took the time to read this and I look forward to being able to read the sequel when it comes out!
Narrated by Shiloh James and Hugo Locke Produced by Blue Nose Audio
⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌶🌶🌶🌶
Narration: I loved listening to this book! This was my first experience with Shiloh James and Hugo Locke, and the pairing was perfection. From Shiloh’s pleasantly sweet, emotionally open voice to Hugo’s dominantly present, grounded delivery, the balance between them was incredible. They did not just read the characters, they embodied them. I could truly feel the most intense moments, whether emotional or intimate, and that made the listening experience completely immersive!
The Book: I loved Liv’s character growth. Watching her evolve felt natural, earned, and deeply satisfying. The doms were everything! Every single one of them was a hot dom in their own way, each distinct and memorable. My favorite part was how clearly and responsibly the author explained the dom sub lifestyle, especially the do’s and the don’ts, with real emphasis on the don’ts. I also appreciated how honestly the story addressed not being accepted by loved ones when you are open about being a dom or a sub. The author captured the good, the bad, and the ugly of the dom sub dynamic in the most beautiful way while still being hot asf. I finished this in one day. A must read for sure!
FMC Olivia hasn't had the best or most exciting life. Leaving home as soon as she turned 18, going to college to study for the most stable career she could think of, and taking a job just to live and survive until she finds something that is meaningful. She works hard, keeps herself small, and hides her wants. When her best friend tells her she needs to get out there and date, it's not that Olivia doesn't want to date; she does, but the men she dates cannot give her what she needs.
One night, after way too many drinks, Olivia applies to a highly exclusive, expensive remote resort that caters to her particular tastes and fully expects to be rejected. She's used to it, which is why she rarely steps outside her comfort zone to try new things or ask for what she really wants. What she didn't expect was not only to be accepted, but also to be matched with a man she could only dream of being with. This will be the most memorable week of her life, full of new experiences, facing fears, and opening up more than she has ever before. The man she is matched with was not prepared for what she would bring, and both of their worlds are changed forever.
What to expect in this book?
Setting in Vermont Main Characters in their 30's Exclusive Resort Catering to BDSM Life DOM/SUB Curvy FMC FMC with severe anxiety (has attacks) He Fell First FMC and MMC w/ bad family history Found Family Safety Always Trust A true BDSM Story SPICE
Is this a story about an exclusive BDSM resort? Yes, yes it is, but it's so much more. If you do not like open-door spicy books, this is not for you. If you do like them and don't have triggers, step up, put in those earbuds, and lie back for an exhilarating and surprisingly emotional read. The narration is fantastic, full of emotion, and the heat... oh, it's there. This is the first book I have read that not only says it's about BDSM, but it actually represents it well. It's not just a little bondage, spanking, and bossing around their partner. It's an exploration of limits, discusses the trust involved, and covers different forms of the act.

Fixing Olivia is the first audiobook in Bay Sinclair’s BDSM-themed Fairford Affairs series. This series is built around an elite and exclusive BDSM resort called Fairford Manor, where invited guests spend a week with a dominant and basically have all their BDSM fantasies brought to life. A more-than-a little tipsy Olivia submits an application to Fairford Manor, never expecting for it to actually be accepted. In her application, she stated that she thought a stay at the Manor might be the only way to fix her. After reading her application, one of the doms, Aiden, is more than a little intrigued by her words and invites her to the Manor. Olivia’s only experience with BDSM is what she’s read in books, but she’s fascinated by the idea of it. Despite suffering a panic attack upon arriving (which Aiden coaxes her through), it turns out she’s a natural submissive. She and Aiden have an instant connection and in working with him, she finally feels seen. But after suffering a lifetime of debilitating verbal and occasional physical abuse by her family, Olivia’s self worth and confidence is extremely low. But Aiden understands her pain and feels drawn to her in a way he’s never been with another submissive. Their passion is also off the charts! Steamy doesn’t even begin to cover it. Both fall hard but are reluctant to risk their hearts. Their journey to love and healing is a deeply emotional one, and one I loved every moment of. The only drawback of the story for me was that it was written in third-person POV. For me personally, I have a harder time connecting with the characters and story in an audio format when the story is presented in this way. I will say, though, that this audiobook did mostly overcome this for me. And one of the reasons for that was the outstanding duet-style narration from Shiloh James and Hugo Locke. They both completely embodied their characters and did an excellent job of bringing this story to life, allowing the listener to experience this story’s heartfelt emotion and passion on a deeper level. There are also exclusive bonus chapters available for purchase on the Blue Nose Audio app. And believe me, you are not going to want to miss out on the hot and spicy content in those chapters!
Hey everybody welcome back to another audiobook review today. We are talking about fixing Olivia by Bay Sinclair. This is a Blue Nose AUDIO production and towed in duet style narration by Shiloh James and Hugo Locke. This was a great little book to kick off the new year with it was super quick, and it was super smutty! The story revolves around Aiden and Olivia. Aiden is a dom at a BDSM mansion, not club. And Olivia applied to come to this mansion to learn how to be a sub as it’s something that she’s always wanted to do, but has always had anxiety about doing it. When eating got her application to be his sub at the manner he knew instantly there that she was perfect for him that he knew that she was gonna be the most perfect submissive for him. When I first kind of started listening to this, all I could think about was that this was basically a week at summer camp learning BDSM and it made me laugh a little bit at first. This story does have kind of like that instant lust vibe from the very first moment that Aiden lays eyes on Olivia in her application. He knows that he wants her and when he sees her for the first time in person, he knows that he’s gonna be completely utterly under her spell. From the very first encounter year just like oh yeah this book is perfect. It’s got all the things you want out of the BDSM MMC and and Olivia is perfect as a sub in this story! There is a little bit of a Novella at the end of fixing Olivia kind of going more into their story and stuff like that after the epilogue, kind of just wrapping up their story and I thought that was a perfect touch to kind of do cause I was gonna wonder after the epilogue if anything else is gonna happen, so I’m really glad that the author included that! But as always quick shout out to Blue Nose AUDIO for allowing me to have this early listen shout out to the amazing author, Bay Sinclair, and shout out to our audiobook narrators, Shiloh James, and Hugo Locke!
Fixing Olivia by Bay Sinclair Book 1 in the Fairford Affairs series Performed in duet by Shiloh James & Hugo Locke
Like most of my reads, I went into this one completely blind—no blurb, no “menu,” just trusting the author and narrators. And let me tell you… that decision paid off. This was such a fun, addictive listen, and I did not see the storyline coming. It was unexpectedly steamy and incredibly engaging. 🔥
This was only my second read with BDSM at the forefront, and I loved being introduced to a world I don’t know much about. It was exciting without being overwhelming, and the chemistry was undeniable. The characters were easy to connect with, and beyond the heat, there was an actual story that kept me invested. Bay Sinclair truly wrote a gem with this one.
We follow Olivia as she comes into her own—learning to trust herself, embrace her desires, and finally feel confident and accepted in her own skin. Enter Aiden, who is more than eager to guide her, challenge her, and show her exactly what she’s capable of. Their dynamic was intense, emotional, and oh-so-satisfying to experience.
Now let’s talk narration, because it absolutely elevated the story. Shiloh James was phenomenal as Olivia. She brought Olivia’s vulnerability, strength, and quiet bravery to life in a way that felt authentic and deeply emotional. Shiloh has quickly become one of my favorite narrators, and this performance is a big reason why. Hugo Locke was the perfect counterpart. His portrayal of Aiden balanced control with care beautifully, delivering that commanding presence while still making his character feel grounded and attentive.
Together, Shiloh James and Hugo Locke were a perfect match and made this audiobook impossible to stop listening to. 5/5 all around, and I’m very much looking forward to continuing this series.
This was so good. I love a great spicy story that still makes me feel all the feels! Huge thank you to Blue Nose Audio for a copy of the audiobook.
Olivia is a 33 year old accountant who just tries to live a boring normal life. She suffers from anxiety and panic attacks and that keeps her wanting to be alone. But that does not keep away the desires she has. She decides to finally take the leap and go to a BDSM club for a week long retreat. And enter Aiden. He and his buddies are the founders and owners of Fairford Manor. That club is everything to him and he has put his all into being a great Dom. He starts to feel the effects of the job when he has a not so great sub interaction. When he sees Olivia’s application that changes. He’s instantly intrigued. When they finally get together the chemistry from the first interaction was through the roof and it only gets better from there.
Beyond this being a domxsub story, we get to see the healing that Olivia gets from finally giving in and experiencing the sub life for the short time she did. Seeing their love unfold was truly so good too.
I love the narrators and the duet style narration. We also got the bonus scene Tying Knots which was a satisfying bonus to finalize their union.
Thanks again to Blue Nose Audio. I will definitely be going back for the rest of the series. I seriously can’t wait for the others’ stories. The side characters were great additions to the main characters.
We meet Olivia, an avid bookworm and bored accountant who is looking for a little more from life. With her upcoming stay at Fairford Manor to look forward to, will Olivia find the excitement she’s been craving?
Aiden one of the experienced Dominants at Fairford Manor is living his dream doing what he loves. Aiden hasn’t looked back after coming to terms with being disowned by his parents due to his lifestyle choices.
What I liked. How caring and attentive Aiden was to Olivia. His consideration to how this lifestyle is new to her. And how Aiden helped Olivia to not only grow her confidence as a submissive, also as a woman with power. Dreams and desires do come true. She wanted it, she went out and chased it. It hadn’t been easy for Olivia, feeling alone in life with no real support network other than a friend who could be a little judgy at times. Olivia felt she needed fixing! She just needed to surround herself with the right people, her people!
I love how Bay Sinclair wove their blossoming romance with humour and s3xy times, so many s3xy times and a little uncertainty of what they may discover about themselves thrown in. Oh, and Zach! Love him!
Shiloh James and Hugo Locke’s performances complimented each other brilliantly. Shiloh and Hugo’s pacing matched the intensity and emotion of the scenes perfectly. My favourite is the hiking trail scene with all the playfulness portrayed by Shiloh and Hugo.
Thank you Bay for an enjoyable story! Thank you to Blue Nose for an entertaining advanced listener copy.
I was needing a good palate cleanser and received this book from a giveaway from a TikTok friend! She loved it and so did I! This is a Dom/sub romance. It's really more smut than romance, but exactly what I was looking to read. This is BDSM but is not hardcore more beginner, but the spice was 4🌶 for sure.
Olivia though she needed fixing. Her childhood was traumatic and once she was finally able to get away, she realized she had needs. But her needs were moved the background due to anxiety. When she finally had the courage to fill out an application to Fairford Manor, a Kink Resort. Her theory was that having a controlled environment might help her gain confidence and venture to dungeons closer to her.
Aiden is a partner in the Fairford Manor and has been bored and unhappy with his clients. When he read Olivia's application, he was immediately drawn to her.
The patient but stern Aiden was the perfect match for Olivia.
If you like a short read, BDSM, D/s, multiple partners during scenes, banter, emotional trauma brought to the light and talked about, and romance, you will love this!
Trigger Warning: There is a scene where Aiden loses his temper and then immediately corrects himself.
I loved this from start to finish!!! I love a good Dom/sub BDSM lead book and this didn't disappoint.
Olivia who feels she needs fixing because she's broken cause of her past and her life now, ends up filling an application form out to spend a week at a luxury kink resort, even though being a novice to BDSM and has never been in the presence of a Dom before she feels she needs this to feel whole like she belongs. The Dom in question is Aiden and boy oh boy is this Dom every subs dream......!! Can Aiden fix Olivia? Will they both open up to each other in such a short amount of time together? Will there be a happy ever after for these two?
Honestly I can't wait for more in this series called The Fairford Affairs , if they are anything like this one then I know I'm gonna love them. I recommend this book if you love BDSM, Dom/sub dynamics, insta attraction and love, multiple partners, and some hot sex scenes. Honestly you won't be disappointed, I will tell you though that there is sex in every chapter and pretty much every other page but it's worth it and doesn't take anything away from the story. If you like your stories spicy then you'll love this book!!!
Fixing Olivia🎧 By: Bay Sinclair Performed by: Shiloh James & Hugo Locke
This book can bring out the sub or dom dormant inside you crying for release. This is a new to me author that did her research on the lifestyle many write about, but few live or know about. This is a BDSM romance. He’s a seasoned dom and she a virgin submissive. And she thinks she’s broken. She applies to his exclusive BDSM resort with brutal honesty and he agrees to her application. The sparks whips and paddles fly from there. This book is very steamy and the author does an exquisite job in detailing scenes. It’s very real and very well written. Thank you to BlueNose Audio for the ALC and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Shiloh James does an excellent job as Olivia 5 star performance as always. Hugo Locke is a new to me narrator and there were times he actually sounded two steps above reading when voicing the MMC but didn’t do so bad as some of the side characters. Overall great listen. Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5 Narration: 🎙️🎙️🎙️🎙️
Fixing Olivia is the amazing first book in the Fairford Affairs series by Bay Sinclair. Olivia, a quiet and anxious woman in finance has long wanted the thing women in her novels have. A Dom. Aiden just happens to be a Dom at the prestigious Fairford Manor. When Olivia sits down with a glass of wine one night and fills out her application to the manor, she writes one sentence that will seal her fate: “I think it’s the only way to fix me.” When Aiden reads those words, he’s determined to meet Olivia and see just what needs to be fixed. Six months later, Olivia makes it to the manor gate and the rest? You’ll have to read to find out.
Edit to add: I received an advance listener copy of the audiobook and it was great. The duet audio by Shiloh James & Hugo Locke had me in its grips from the beginning. It is my first audio by either of them and I certainly can’t wait to hear more. With Bay Sinclair’s fantastic writing brought to life by two amazing voice actors, I felt I was able to watch this book become a movie in my head. I absolutely loved it.
Performed in duet by Shiolah James & Hugo Locke Written by: Bay Sinclair Tropes: 🔥 Dominant Alpha Hero 🔥 Curvy FMC 🔥 Emotional Scars 🔥 Found Family 🔥 Instalove (He Falls First)
Let me first, again reiterate, I am in the lifestyle ( I have ALC'd other books that talk about the lifestyle before).
This book is definitely a wonderful depiction of said lifestyle. It shows a different side of it, and one that is important not to forget - how it all started.
Finding out how you fit. Your likes, your dislikes, things you want to try. I have to say, the way that the Manor is set up, is not a terrible idea!
All jokes aside, I absolutely LOVED this! You would think that someone like me would be tired of books like these - NOPE! I really hope the next book in this line up comes (ha! pun intended) across my ALC sign up! I definitely want to see where this story goes!
What can I say? Bay Sinclair gives us exactly what we want in this easy to love novel. Starting with a lead female that is easy to relate to and a dom for hire that’s soft in all the right places- but just for her. It’s so easy to picture yourself in the exquisitely outfitted manor. You can almost smell the wood and leather through the screen. If you are at all curious or into the bdsm scene, then you were once a beginner which means you can relate to Olivia’s relationship with her friends and her lack of fulfillment in her romantic life. Her journey during her time spent in the manor is also relatable and realistically filled with pleasure and disappointment. And thank you Bay Sinclair for giving us the ending we all were hoping for. 🔥🔥🔥I cant wait to read the rest of the Dom’s stories - especially Rafe.
I've got to say...this book was MUCH more than I expected, but in the best way!
How do I even begin? It had everything in it that gets the little kink-loving kitten in your brain going, from spanking, edging, a protective dom who only wants what's best for you, soooo much bondage, and the perfect HEA, to boot! I think the best part, though, was how relatable on the heroine was.
Without giving too much away, she isn't perfect and because of that is bullied a bit. It takes you back (and even to current day), if you're in any way like I am. But, don't worry....no redemption arch, and our lovely Liv learns to stand up for herself in a huge way that'll make you proud to love her!
To take it a step farther, there were multiple scenes that had me on the edge of my seat, and on top of that....I MAY or may not have had a dream about the hero the following night. This book has a spice factor in it that will leave you breathless.
What can I say? Bay Sinclair is GOOD.
If you haven't picked up this beauty already, do it. You won't be disappointed!
Some love stories don’t just unfold—they heal. Fixing Olivia is one of those emotionally immersive romances that pulls you into the characters’ pain, growth, and hard-won connection, making their journey feel both intimate and deeply satisfying.
Fixing Olivia by Bay Sinclair is the first book in the Fairford Affairs series, blending emotional contemporary romance with raw vulnerability and recovery. The audiobook is performed in duet by Shiloh James and Hugo Locke, a format that proves especially impactful for a story driven by emotional nuance and connection.
What stood out most for me was the intensity of the characters’ emotional arcs. Their path toward love and healing is layered, heartfelt, and genuinely compelling. While I typically struggle to fully connect with audiobooks written in third-person POV, this production largely overcame that hurdle. Much of that credit goes to the duet narration—both narrators fully embodied their roles, delivering performances that felt natural, emotionally charged, and deeply authentic. Their chemistry and commitment elevated the story, allowing the emotion and passion to resonate on a much deeper level.
My only real hesitation remains the third-person POV, which can create a bit of emotional distance for me in audio format. That said, the narration did an impressive job of bridging that gap. And for listeners who enjoy a little extra heat, there are bonus chapters available through the Blue Nose Audio app—content that adds an extra layer of intensity and is well worth exploring. Overall, this was a moving and engaging start to the series, made even stronger by standout audio performances.
This was a fantastic BDSM resort novel from a new to me author. The writing was top notch- a huge stickler point for me- and the plot well developed. There were some scenes in this one that were 🥵seriously hot. I loved the handsome Dom, who was part owner of the resort, but not super rich. And the female sub, while not as well-off or confident, was a hard worker and taking care of herself in life. All too often in romance novels we see the flailing, helpless heroine who needs saving, but this author manages to create a character who can balance her mental health struggles and her capabilities to hold a job and manage her life- like a real adult! Loved this read and looking forward to the next one.
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 🌶 🌶 🌶 BDSM Resort, Found Family, He Falls First, Hurt/Comfort, HEA Olivia finally drums up the courage to take care of her wants and needs. Aiden has been searching for his perfect Sub, and finds her when he sees Olivia's application to be a guest at Fairford Manor. This fast paced and sexy story follows these two finally getting what they both crave, and Olivia finds the strength to finally stand up for herself and start to heal past trauma. This is the first book in the Fairford Affairs Series, which follows the founding members and partners of this luxury kink resort. I can't wait to get everyone else's story. Shiloh James & Hugo Locke did a great job narrating in duet for this couple.

I could not put this book down! It is such a good book😍 if you are looking for a spicy book this is for you!🥵 Olivia feels like she is broken and needs to be fixed. She had a rough childhood and it has left her with extreme anxiety. She decides it's time to start living her life. She fills out an application to spend a week at a luxury kink resort. She's always had the desire to be in the lifestyle but could never build the courage to do it. At the resort she meets Aiden and he opens up a whole new world to her. Will he be able to fix her?
WOW, what a book to read , very fast paced makes you want more. Olivia applies to this BDSM resort, needing or wanting help to feel like a whole person. Aiden reads her application and then has to wait 6 months before she comes to the resort. Has a great storyline/plot and the characters are all perfectly developed. Olivia and Aiden spend a fun packed time together. This author has written such a fabulous book. Everyone should be fixed like this. Can't wait for the next one. Would recommend this book highly.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Olivia knows what she wants, but is too afraid to go for it. Tentative questions to friends make her sure she's a freak, but one drunken night, she applies to Fairford Manor, convinced she'll be rejected there as well. Adrian loves working as a Dom, except for the wannabe subs who ruin his pleasure. He needs a true submissive to help him rediscover his joy. I really enjoyed this. Olivia's anxiety is recognisable, as she has meltdowns when in unfamiliar circumstances. Adrian is a dream; handsome, intuitive and caring, yet capable of delivering the punishments Olivia wants. Really good.
Special thank you to Bay Sinclair and Foreword PR for giving me the opportunity to read this ARC!
If you want a spicy book this is it! There is spice in every chapter after chapter 2. Olivia has always been interested in spanking and other BDSM fantasies all her life, but has never had the courage to explore those fantasies. That is until one drunk birthday night she typed a confession letter of all her fantasies and desires to Fairfield Manor, an exclusive invite only BDSM mansion. Olivia is shocked when she gets a letter back inviting her to the manor. Will Aiden be able to ease Olivia into the lifestyle and fulfill all her fantasies?
As I started reading Fixing Olivia by Bay Sinclair, I was hoping to read a good representation of heterosexual kink. But things went downhill fast. The scene where the male protagonist spanks the female lead out of anger and fear felt mishandled, almost making me put the book down.
The characters were flat, especially the women who were either mean or overly sexual. I couldn't connect with them at all.
Despite the author's good writing, I couldn't stay interested. The chemistry between the main characters was missing, and the story lost steam halfway through. Overall, it felt fake and boring, not what I was looking for.
The FMC started having a panic attack about every 20 pages, including in the middle of almost every spicy scene. Really breaks the immersion. If this book was a romance with more of a substantial plot that didn't have to do with a sex resort, her anxiety would have read better. It doesn't make sense for it to be such a large part of a short smut book. I'm not trying to get a secondhand panic attack during what was supposedly her dream "scene" with her dream guy.
Also, with how awkward and unrealistic the dialogue and narration were, I was surprised that the phrase "my inner goddess" never made an appearance.
Olivia has trauma from her childhood with anxiety rising up at bad times. She hopes that a week at the resort will help her fix herself. Aidan is a Dom and part owner of Fairford Manor. They meet at her weakest, but he shows her how to take charge of her life in so many ways. Loved the characters and the storyline had tension, heartwarming situations and happy revelations. The chemistry and banter brought them to life and the entertaining interactions cemented their bond. Terrific ending.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
If you love kinky instalove, this is the book for you! My heart went out to Olivia, feeling like her life was simply going through the motions, bored out of her mind. Aiden messed up a couple times, but Olivia took everything he dished out and found solace in his dominance. Heads up that if you don't like sharing or watching or that both characters continue to scene with other people, this has all of that. I happen to love it, so this book was really enjoyable for me. I'm so glad the next book is already out so I can dive back into the world of Fairford Manor!
Fantastic! Fixing Olivia is an incredibly well-written novel. I was immediately immersed into Olivia and Aiden’s world and could not put the book down!
Meet Olivia. She needs help. Meet Aiden. He’s a Dom who likes to fix things. Welcome to Fairford Manor.
This story is 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️, with consent protocols that are beautifully integrated with the story. And the surprise ending🔥. Yes!
It is very rare for a first-time read to make a place for itself in my permanent collection.
It was not the best I have read in the genre but I liked the characters. Olivia and Aiden were realistically written. They had faults and pasts and broken pieces. I did not feel that they had a lot of chemistry. Even though her writing style was nice, I had trouble finishing this story because it lost my attention in the middle. I received a complimentary copy of this book and I freely left this review.
Well this book is a bit darker than my liking but I did really enjoy this read. The book follows Olivia and Aiden as they navigate unfamiliar territories during their one week together in Vermont. Their relationship deepens to more than physical and it's interesting to see where they go from there. Can't wait for a book 2.
