Clara Kate is one of the eight beings needed to activate the Elder Scroll, an ancient artifact causing tragedy and darkness on the Estilorian plane. She knows that her focus needs to be on finding the final piece and stopping the evil Mercesti, but Ini-herit isn't making it easy. He’s working closely with Clara Kate on the quest to stop their enemies…too close for her comfort. His presence serves as a constant reminder of the love they shared on the human plane, a love that he no longer remembers at all. Her life and the lives of those she loves are at risk, and she knows she has to put aside her personal problems. So far on their journey, she's endured heartbreak, terror, pain and loss. She’s even been brought to the brink of death. She thinks things can't get any worse. She's wrong.

Elder by Raine Thomas is book three of the Firstborn Trilogy and book six of the Estilorian series. I have loved each and every book in the fantasy series and Elder did not let me down.
“Angels are just one of the mythical creatures humans created based on their memories of Estilorians….”
We start out with Clara Kate and Ini-herit on Earth and they are madly in love. She is one of the eight that will be needed to activate the Elder Scroll. When they return to the Estilorian plane, she remembers their love, but Ini-Herit doesn’t. That makes working together difficult, but lives are at risk…and I can only hope that things will work out for them. They put their lives on the line and deserve to have a happy ending.
Zachariah has been one of my favorites since the beginning and I felt he held a special place in the series…seeing Raine Thomas put him through hell.
I have been spending a lot of time in Raine Thomas’ fantasy world and have loved every minute of it. The characters are vibrant and captivating, drawing me deeply into their world, and I don’t want the story to end.
Thanks, Raine, for the opportunity to read and review your fabulous stories.
I was very excited to have a chance to read and review this book. I have been a major fan of Ms. Thomas ever since the beginning books of the Daughters of Saraqael series. So how exciting to have the opportunity to read the last book in the FirstBorn Trilogy!
This book follows the young woman Clara Kate and her journey to stop evil Mercesti, by finding the final piece of the Elder Scroll and to help activate it along with the other seven beings that are destined to activate it. But things are not that simple because, Clara Kate is not focused due to feelings she is having a very hard time ignoring for the Elder Ini-herit, who she had previously been close to and loved back on earth. Ini-herit who was known as Harry, knew Clara Kate as the eighteen year old teen, and fellow resident of Mrs. Clara Burke’s Home, Ms. Burke was their human guardian. Clara Kate was aware while on earth, who Ini-herit/Harry was; although he was unaware. So she had the task of reminding Ini-herit/Harry that he was actually from the Estilorian plane where he was a Corgloresti elder, who had traveled to earth before Clara Kate was born. He was there to re-learn human emotions, and so while on earth his Estilorian memories and abilities had been suppressed. Clara Kate and Ini-herit become friends, blossoming into much more. They faced his transitioning back to the Estilorian plane, which Clara Kate had been a little concerned whether In-herit would retain his memories of their time on earth. The two share a very intimate, first-time event during Harry’s last few hours on the human plane with his promising Clara Kate that he would remember their love, and that she will always be his Angel….
But once back on the Estilorian Plane, it was as Clara Kate feared, that due to the transition, she seemed to have lost her “Harry” and in his place was the very analytical, non- human feeling Ini-herit, who does not remember her at all. Not too long back home, Clara Kate has some shocking news, that at once thrills and terrifies her, especially with the painful realization that the man she loved does not and apparently will not love her. Throw into the mix, she is kidnapped, found to be the next Elder, and being chased by evil. Clara Kate does not know if she will be able to handle it all. But with the love of her family, even if she does not have the love she seeks from Ini-herit, Clara Kate is determined to handle all her responsibilities and walk in her destiny, not knowing if Ini-herit will ever be back by her side.
I will say, I do love Clara Kate, as I do all these feisty heroines in both trilogies by Raine Thomas. But there was a very, very, slight moment when I wanted Ms. Clara Kate out-of-the-way, so that I could have Ini-herit all to myself!:O)
Okay,Okay I am kidding! (kinda:) I love Clara Kate, who was feisty, smart, brave and courageous, who although she discovered news that would make anyone…especially an 18 year old… scared stiff when having to deal with her family, but she handled it well, and faces up to her responsibility, while at the same time facing the evil that is hunting her and those she loves. This girl was fierce! I loved her toughness, and her inner strength, she also knew how to kick butt:). I loved how she and her friend, was able to escape from the Mercesti, by out smarting them with simple household items! I loved how Ms. Thomas shows these young women as strong, capable and brave. (Yes, that’s alot of loves!:)
Ini-herit was hot, hot, hot!! Oh, my goodness, I was grinning from ear to ear as I read. I could not flip through the pages faster, to get to the next scene and then the one after that. I became infuriated when he couldn’t remember, even though he had flashes of memory here and there, but I forgave him quick enough..(who wouldn’t really…jeeze with that face!:O) The love story that was laced through was a perfect! Elder had the perfect, perfect combo of passion and adventure!
Well written, the story flowed smoothly and each scene keeps the reader captivated and fully anchored in the Estilorian world!
Why are you still reading this and not out grabbing a copy of Elder????
As the last installment in the Firstborn trilogy, I expected the story to be filled with action and intense plots. Not only did Raine Thomas deliver, she also came up with surprises that warmed my heart and brought me joy. :)
As shared in the synopsis, this book focuses on Clara Kate, the eldest daughter of Gabriel and Amber (see Becoming, book one of the Daughter of Saraqael series). With an Estilorian father and a semi-Estilorian/ semi-human mother, Clara Kate, like her siblings and cousins, are three-quarters Estilorians. While the Estilorian elders do their best to keep track of the growth and abilities of this new generation, there are many things that they’ve never anticipated. And that’s what makes the story fun, unpredictable and interesting.
I really like Clara Kate. Although she is the oldest and has the rare ability to reside on the human plane without changing form, she never assumes a sense of superiority. I like that she genuinely cares for her siblings, cousins and friends. Even when her father is an Estilorian elder, she never takes advantage of her status. When her cousin and friend get captured by the evil Mercesti, she actively participates in the rescue mission. Her courage and dedication is something that I truly admire.
Ini-herit is an Estilorian elder. Because Estilorians have detached themselves from most emotions for many centuries, Ini-herit decides to relearn emotions through living as a human being on the human plane. While he is in his human form, he falls in love with Clara Kate. Unfortunately, his human memories gets suppressed when he makes his transition back to the Estilorian plane and he cannot remember any of the promises that he has made to Clara Kate while they’re on the human plane.
As you can imagine, Clara Kate is heartbroken, but because Ini-herit has the most remarkable ability to heal injuries, he and Clara Kate must work together to achieve what’s necessary on the rescue mission. And while I feel I really want to give you more details about their work/ love relationship, I must say I honestly feel torn about what non-spoiler details I can safely depart here. The ups and downs of their relationship is definitely captivating, but that’s not all there is to this fascinating story.
I have to say I was pretty much in awe by the situation that Thomas managed to throw together to make up the setting in Elder.
Not only are there surprising twists and unanticipated adventures, there are also unforeseen distress and insurmountable conquest. I know I know, that’s a mouthful … but let me say this, in my opinion, Thomas has truly outdone herself to give us this amazing conclusion for the Firstborn series! And the ending? It’s an ending that made me squeal, smile, sigh, and cry with happy tears!!
So, if you’ve loved Defy and Shift, I really think you owe it to yourself to grab a copy of Elder. Go get it now. Seriously. What are you waiting for?
This is such a sad day... I've finished reading Elder, book three in the Firstborn Trilogy, and it was Amazing. That's not what makes me sad. It's fact that after six books of getting to know the Estilorians, this is the conclusion of their stories. I have come to love the characters and understand their world, and I'm really going to miss it/ Especially... ZACHARIAH!!! Raine Thomas did a wonderful job building a world and characters that were vivid and distinct. Elder was the perfect ending to a fantastic set of books. Clara Kate and Ini-herit's story was heartbreaking. How terrible to be so in love with someone, only to have them forget they ever felt that love. I won't tell you more about Elder. Since it is the conclusion, I don't want to spoil anything for you. All I can say is that if you haven't read this series, you need to pick it up. Congratulations on a terrific series, Raine. I can't wait to see what you come out with next!
I am really sad to see this series end, but Raine Thomas did what she knows how to do best give the readers exactly what I other want and that is an awesome story with love, adventure and characters that you relate to. I honest don't know what to say because it was an amazing book and it wrapped it all up tight with a big bow. I am so glad I discovered this author because she has been added to my list of authors that I plan to read every single one of their books.
This was a reread for me. A very satisfactory and heart-warming ending, but I do so which we got to experience more of the relationships. I enjoyed that Raine Thomas took more time in building the relationships of all of the characters in this trilogy than she did in the first half of the series (The Daughters of Saraqael trilogy).
Did I enjoy this book: I LOVED IT!!!!! I really did...I was happy and giddy and just in a good place when I finished this last installment of the Firstborn Trilogy. There was a lot of action, suspense, and romance. I was hooked from beginning to end.
For this review, please keep two things in mind: (1) I would say more but I do not want to spoil anything. And (2) I may gush quite a bit because I thought this book was fantastic. It was extremely well-written, entertaining, and engrossing.
Clara Kate and Ini-Herit...what can I say but YAY! It was heart-wrenching to watch these two try to recapture what they had on the human plane. Their connection on the human plane was so intense. It was a joy yet saddening to read the flashbacks to that time. And then I couldn't help but feel sad yet happy for Clara Kate later in the book. I really enjoyed watching her transformation throughout Elder. So many emotions hit me while reading Elder and about these two characters.
I love Tate and Zachariah. They are the best couple in this series. They truly complete and match each other. Their interactions continue to get me. I laugh out loud with, and at, them. I love his sarcasm and sense of humor. I love how Tate can calm him and reach him in the way only a soulmate can. The reader can feel how much he cares for and loves Tate. His character evolves so much in this book. And I love him even more after this book. So happy!
Tiege and Ariana are so sweet and Ariana is just plain awesome. We don't hear too much about these two throughout the series and that is okay. We get to know enough to make us happy for them. We do not hear too much about Quincy and Sophie either in this book. But they play some very integral parts in this action-packed finale.
Would I recommend it: I would recommend this book...especially if you've read the first two books, Defy and Shift. If you have not read any of the books in the Firstborn Trilogy, you should definitely do so. They are wonderful reads.
Will I read it again: I think I will read the Firstborn Trilogy again. I will definitely read more by Raine Thomas. I really hope that there are more series that follow these characters in the future. Please, Raine, tell me that there will be! Pretty please!

Elder which is the 3rd book in the Firstborn trilogy - definitely delivers everything that you would expect as the final installment of the Firstborn series. It is full of suspense, action, and romance. Because you can't have a Raine Thomas book without an epic romance. It would be like a fish out of water. This author definitely has a talent for writing unique romances in each of her books, that really, always take the reader on a special journey because of how complex they are and because of the loveliness that her characters tend to have about them.
Which leads me to the main characters in this book. Clara Kate and Ini-herit. To say that these two epitomize character growth would be an understatement. These two characters really have a one of a kind romance in that it's not something that I've read before and boy do they overcome a lot of complications. The way in which their story is set up is that Clara Kate and Ini-herit have already fallen in love when they were humans for a while, but as they return to their Estilorian world, Ini-herit forgets everything that he lived with Clara Kate. Can you imagine standing in front of the love of your life and him not remembering you at all, can you? Well, that's the hand that Clara Kate's is dealt with. And it doesn't help that Ini-Herit in the Estilorian world is a really good guy, but highly stoic, and full of an immense self control, and distant, so in a way, these two have to fall in love all over again. Besides the troubles that they have to face with the rest of the characters in the books, the greatest challenge that the main leads have to face in Elder is to conquer the distance between them as people and it is quite fascinating to read about.
Besides the romance, another highlight for me in this book were the villains. We don't have only one, but two main villains. A man (Eirik) and a woman (Metis). What is so interesting about these villains is that they do work together but each is secretly against each other and quite evil in different ways. It was really great to read about them because both of these characters thought that they had it all figured out and that they were the ultimate villains in the story but in Elder, we get to see that being so power hungry can blind you and make you forget that just as you can be really cruel, there can always be someone out there meaner than you, waiting to dethrone you. I mean, the power struggle between these two characters, was so complex that it almost felt like witnessing a chest match between two vicious vipers.
Overall, I would say that Elder is a story about conquering fears, overcoming mental and physical boundaries and how amazing the power of friendship and love can be in the darkest moments of life. And, to say that this book is jam packed with twists is an understatement, Elder was full of surprises. It definitely was one of those un-putdownable stories that make you feel like you are in a race against time because of all of the turmoil that the characters are stuck on.
Elder is the third and final installment in the Firstborn trilogy, so this review may have some spoilers for the first two books. You have been warned.
Elder is supposed to be the story of Clara Kate and In-herit, but written in multiple perspectives, it felt more like a finale for all of the characters. There isn't a whole lot that can be said about the plot that won't give away some aspect of the book. We begin almost immediately after book two, Shift, left off. Ariana and a severely injured Tate are locked in the library with Metis and Eirik, who plan to use them to find the final piece of the Elder Scroll. From there we go on an epic quest filled with twists and turns as the characters we've come to know and love fight to save the world.
While I enjoyed reading about Clara Kate and In-herit's relationship, and her struggles to return In-herit's memories of their relationship on the human plane, Tate and Zachariah are still my favorite couple. Tate's teasing and Zachariah's overbearing nature make for an odd pairing, but when you read about them together, they just fit. Ms. Thomas is excellent at giving her couples chemistry. Their relationships feel real, and unforced. Not only is the author good as writing relationships, but her characters all have realistic personalities. Each one was different, but they all meshed well together. No one felt like a filler, and everyone has their own role in the story.
The action in the plot was just as thrilling as in the first two books. Elder made me nervous in all the right places. It will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end! The plot was great. It was a fantastic continuation of the series! It tied in perfectly with the first two books. The novel also moved at a steady pace and will keep its audience engaged. I never felt bored while reading, which made me so happy. I've read a few stinkers lately, so it is nice that Elder was able to get me out of my rut and end the series on a good note.
The end of the novel felt very final, though it leaves you in a content place where you can imagine the future of the characters you've come to know in love, but you aren't left in need of answers. I think Ms. Thomas tied up the series perfectly and I'm sad to part with these characters as I have really come to adore them over the past year. I cannot wait to see what Ms. Thomas comes up with next!
I was so excited when I got to see the cover for the final book in the Firstborn Trilogy, and even more excited when I was able to get a copy before it came out to read. Man oh man, I do love this series!! One this I love a lot is that these covers are amazing, and ever though each story is focused on one main firstborn daughter, the story isn't just simply focused on them. It is about the whole situation, with just a little but more emphasis on each different girl, depending on the story.
Elder took off right where Shift had left off, and I was anxious to find out what was going to happen to both Tate and Ariana. Even though this book is more forcused on Clara Kate, she didn't leave anything out, and just started right up from the beginning, so if you felt like maybe you may have forgotten what had happened in Shift, you were reminded right away. I love this story so much, it shows the growth of these girls and how much stronger they become with all the hell that they are going through. I was particularly interested in Clara Kate's story ever since reading Defy. Coming back from the human plain with the love of your life having no emotions what so ever. Having to see him day by day feeling the same feelings and him not remembering any emotion at all. Just thinking about it hurts my stomach, so I was interested to see how it all played out in Elder.
Raine will know the moment that I am about to talk about, and HOLY LIGHT it was AMAZING! I have chills just thinking about it. There is a moment in this book, and once you read it, you will know what I am talking about. It will make you cry and it is expected but also not, so it just strikes you. This is an amazing part of the story, I do not want to give too much away because you must all read it!
This was the conclusion novel to this series, and it did not disappoint. It had just as much action, if not more then the other two. It was an amazing ending to one of the best trilogies I have ever read. Raine Thomas transports you to another world that feels so real, that you want to be apart of it yourself. Such a strong, and loving world, but also has its evils, but the bonds she creates are simply amazing. Amazing book, this is one I can and probably will read over and over again!! BUY IT!! :)
This is such a great trilogy. I loved so many of the characters in it. I really enjoyed the first book and the second book and the third book was just as wonderful. The world that Raine Thomas has created is truly epic. I am going to read the prequel trilogy next, but you don't have to read that one first to understand the firstborn trilogy. In my last review, I mentioned that I thought the index would be better in the front of the book instead of the back of the book and for Elder Raine put an index explaining the terms and names at the start of the book! I was so excited. It was a great refresher from the last book.
Elder picked up right after Shift left off and Tate and Arina are still in danger and are still captives. Elder is action packed from the start to the finish.
This story focuses on another one of the cousins. This time it is Clara Kate, or CK as they call her. I was happy to see that I really enjoyed Clara Kate. I loved Tate, from the first book, so much so I was a little nervous that the other characters would not measure up to her. But CK was pretty awesome! She takes charge and she is such a strong person. She fell in love with one of her kind in the human world and when he transitioned back into their world he forgot all of his human memories- including her! It would have totally broken my heart but CK held herself together beautifully. I really admired her strength and innate sense of justice. She is someone I had no problem looking up to.
Another thing I completely loved about this story is that there was still a good amount of Zachariah and Tate. I love them so much. They are just so intense, and man of man sometimes when Zachariah just looks at Tate it gives me shivers. Raine Thomas, hear my plea and make a short story or deleted scene about the two of them! I just can't get enough of them.
The firstborn trilogy is fantasy done right. I really loved it and I am sad to see that it is done. But the ending was really good and I am super happy with the way everything turned out. I would recommend this series to any fan of YA fantasy. If you are a fan of paranormal and you want to branch out a bit, give the Firstborn series a try!
Before I even began this book I knew I would find it emotional not for the story alone but because it is the last in the series. I began the journey a while ago with Becoming the first in the daughters of saraqael series followed by Central and Foretold when Raine announced she was writing the Firstborn series a follow up to the daughters of saraqael, I was over the moon and wasn't disappointed. I loved both Defy and Shift. I feel like the characters have become a part of my life and I have been on this amazing journey with them so when I began Elder I was prepared to be emotional but I wasn't prepared for the barrage of other emotions that ELDER evoked.
I have been looking forward to reading CK's story for so long, CK (Clara Kate) is the eldest of the Kynzesti class of Estilorian's and the daughter of Amber and Gabriel. CK as an inner strength few could hope for, she carries around with her the love she feels for Harry/Ini-Herit knowing he cannot remember her or the love he felt for her while he was on the earth plane where he had been trying to relearn humanity, upon his return however everything he had learned had been forgotten including CK!
I was heart broken for her but she hid her pain and continued on the journey to rescue her cousin and find the Elder scroll before Erik. there where so many great moments in this book you will get no spoilers from me but I have to say one of my favourite moments is with one of my favourite characters Sparky Zachariah, I love him so much.
There where a few shocking moments too some had me wanting me to punch the air with glee others had me gasping for breath.
I don't want to give anything away about the end but I will say this, there were many tears. As I have said I have loved the Estilorian journey that I have been on thanks to Raine Thomas. I am said it is all over but I will look forward to reading this books over and over again and I look forward to what ever Raine as planned next, I am sure it will be another great adventure.
As usual, I was nervous about reading the final book in a series that I have greatly enjoyed. But, I need not have been. Once again, the author weaves in adventure, twists and turns and romance…all the elements I was hoping for. This book is a very good ending to a series that captured my attention from the very beginning.
The characters I’ve come to love from this series are all present in this installment and their stories continue to be intertwined as they search for the last piece of the Elder Scroll needed to keep the evil Mercesti from gaining power in the Estilorian plane. Although this book has a focus on Clara-Kate and Ini-herit, we are still treated to scenes involving Tiege and Ariana, Quincy and Sophie and Tate and Zachariah. All of the characters show growth in this book, especially Ariana who has had such a difficult time and now needs to focus on her own strength to help her family. Zachariah also goes through an amazing transformation and I love his interactions and the support he gets from Tate. Clara-Kate and Ini-herit’s story is both heartbreaking and beautiful. They’ve had time together in the human world and Clara-Kate remembers it all…but Ini-herit does not. The strength she shows in the midst of this tragic turn will bring a tear to your eye and the continued hope she feels will fill your heart with faith that all will work out somehow.
I wish I could tell you more about this story. I wish I could sit down with you and discuss it all. Unfortunately, there’s a strong likelihood that, if allowed to tell you everything I want to, I’ll spoil this book for you. And I don’t want to do that. I will say that if you’ve read any of Raine’s books you already know that the world she creates is vivid and smart, the characters she shares are complex and deep, and the relationships she weaves are realistic and timeless. This book is no different! I’m just sad this series has come to an end!!

Elder is the conclusion to the First Born Series. I am so sad to see it go because I got to read along with all the characters of a world where good was fighting evil trying to regain and restore the peace of the world they lived in. You got to see characters grow and see them develop along the way. You got to see raw pain and healing and you got to see love bloom and love die only to be restored again. I don't think I have ever seen a series that has ripped my heart out and put it back together all over again. Raine Thomas knows how to write a story that keeps you wanting more and more.
In Elder we continue the story with Clara and Ini-herit. They have to find the last and final piece to stop the Evil Mercesti. Only there is one huge problem with this plan. Clara remembers the love her and Ini-herit shared on earth and he does not. So he is indifferent to her and it breaks her heart. But Clara having grown so much is determined to find the final piece and keep her emotions in check. She loves Ini-herit and she will show him that they belong together but first she has to do her mission and stop the evil that Mercesti.
As Clara and the gang have their final showdown with evil they will all do whatever it takes to restore the world back to where it was filled with love and harmony. When the ancient scroll is activated everyone will be relieved and then they can go back to normal life. But will evil prevail? Will the Mercesti finally win this battle? Will Clara and Ini-herit ever get back what they lost on the human plain? This is such an EPIC conclusion to the series I laughed and I cried because I did not want it to end. I needed it to keep going but I will say this Raine Thomas dang it you are BRILLIANT and I will continue to read everything you put out. I just could not get enough.
I love this book series! its is so good. it takes you to a new world. it was to read this because it is the end of this trilogy. i really hope that raine writes more about the estilorian world. more on this book now. it focussed more on clara kate and ini-herit. i have been dying to know more about there relationship. and boy is it GOOD! ini-herit and clara kate were "together" on the human plane, but ini-herit doesnt remember. clara kate know has to deal with her love for him that he know longer feels while they are traveling all over the plane to get the elder scroll. im not revealing any spoilers, but let the record be known that i knew it before it was revealed! the hints were obvious if you've read raine thomas before. if you want to know, read the book! in the end, elder finishes with a beautiful ending that brought tears to my eyes. i will really miss this series
Oh my goodness! I loved, loved, loved Elder! I can’t wipe the silly grin off of my face. The Estilorians are embedded deep in my heart. I have loved every minute of this journey with them, in both trilogies. I put off reading this last book because I just wasn’t ready to let them go. The ending made me cry.
Raine, I’m so proud of you. Thank you for inviting me into your imagination. Your characters will always be real to me. I’ve laughed with them, cried with them, been scared for them and fallen in love with them. This is a world I could happily lose myself in. The Estilorian Goddess bows to you. ;)
I loved this book. It had several spots in the end that had me near tears, but they were tears of happiness or tears of pride. I definitely recommend reading these books in order. (daughters of saraqael and then this trilogy) I would have missed so much If I read this one first. There are so many interesting characters and I enjoyed getting to know each of them. They each have unique personalities and I've loved all of their stories. The world created for these characters is truly original. The love stories are among my very favorite!
I thought I liked Tate, but Clara Kate is just amazing! Her strength is incredible and her story with Inherit is amazing. I love that all of the characters love stories have a lot in common with their parents stories. Harry's and Clara's isn't any different. The finale is great! You won't be disappointed!
I'd like to read my granddaughters and daughter think of this Trilogy. Just bought the prequel trilogy. Love the larger fonts available with the kindle fire HD Want the Kate and Saraquile story.
I absolutely loved how Raine ended this trilogy. I felt I wouldn't enjoy it as much as the first three of the series but I almost enjoyed it more. I am so glad I went back and reread them and continued on through books 4-6.
Love all 6 books beginning with Daughters of Saraquel... kinda sad to finish it but at the same time I really enjoyed and happy the way things wrapped up... even though I'm hoping there will be more stories in the Estilorian plane. I love the world that the author created and so eager to go back and be transported again to see old friends.
I immensely enjoyed these books, so much so that I rank it even higher than Twilight on my list --- and I've read Twilight series twice, listened to the audiobooks and watched the film adaptations countless times :-p
Way too much bad guy pov. Who cares!!! It could have edited all that pov and gave more time to the omportant characters. But other than that it was well edited and the plot was smooth. Everything ends up a little matchy matchy for my taste, but what can u do? I think the first was the best in serious and then the other two just sealed up any loose ends and continued the story. There were no surprises. None.
I read the first trilogy and I've just finished the second. What a world this author came up with! The women are strong and the men are even stronger. The details about each character are so well presented you can see them in your mind as you read. Their strengths, their fears, the love of family, and the adventure all combine for a fabulous reading experience!
I liked this book the best of this trilogy, though that isn't really saying much. I wish Harry would have gradually grown to love her/remember her instead of pow, and all the memories. I would have liked their love story more than the overriding story arc with Erich and Metis.
Please tell me that we are going to visit the Estilorians again??!!! There is still so much story that can go on. I have loved reading these books, they are very different, but good. I just hope that we get to see more of everyone.
