Septima is gone. Those were the last words Aurelia Vesta heard after being wounded in battle. Her sister had been captured by the enemy, and no matter how hard she searched, there was no sign of her. After fleeing their home together and crossing the portal into a magical fae world, the sisters were separated. The vow they'd made to always stay together was broken. With the phoenix warriors of Aegricia and the war-torn kingdom of Norithae by her side, Aurelia will do whatever it takes to save Septima and end the barbaric Warbotach ruler's reign of terror over the land of Ekotoria. But the corrupt king is the least of her worries. His people conquer without remorse, but they are nothing more than puppets, and the Warbotach leader? He’s just a weapon wielded by a force everyone believed was gone for good. When the battle rages and heroes fall, can the tide of the war be turned, or will the continent of Ekotoria—and Septima—be lost for good? No matter what happens, one thing is certain. The fae realm will never be the same. The Crown of the Phoenix series is a trilogy so Crown of the Exiled, which is book 2, will end on a cliffhanger.
Trigger Crown of the Exiled contains graphic (consensual) sex, mature language, captivity, violence and some torture.
Picking up where book 1 left off, Aurelia is devastated to know that her sister Septima has been taken by the enemy. With the kingdoms on the brink of war nothing will stand in way of Aurelia finding her sister. With the help of Phoenix Warriors and the kingdom of Norithae, Aurelia will do whatever is necessary to not only find her sister but put an end to the enemies rule over the kingdom of Ekotoria.
A story of loss, fierce determination and prophesies coning to past. Immerse yourself in the steam and non stop action in this fantasy romance.
Once again I was pulled into the world of Ekotoria and the emotional turmoil of the two human sisters fighting to survive in the world of the Fae. I really love the characters and these books are written in a way that pulls me in and makes me feel as if I am experiencing the emotions and events that each character goes through. I really love multiple POVs and this one did not disappoint as we get to experience the story through the eyes of several different characters. And that cliffhanger!!! I am SO happy I already have the third book and can jump right in! I cannot wait to see how the trilogy concludes!
Family, found or by blood, makes the war worth the fight. All of the different POV's made it so easy to love all of the characters. I cried at the end! This was one of the best Romantasy books I've ever had the privilege to read. Tropes: Fae, bonded mates, found family 5⭐ 3.5🌶️
You definitely have to read book 1 for the cliff handed continue in this book! Plenty of action, war, sex everything to keep the plot thick and twisted. I will be on the lookout for book 3! Yes this is a trilogy.
The writing was extremely repetitive and the character development was not there. This story could’ve been amazing if things had been embellished in better (less repetitive) detail. I wanted so badly to love it, but it was just okay.
