Finding the Right One . . .
Single mom Kaitlin is a baker in a small town. Her daughter is a very active and spirited child who climbed up a tree and gets herself stuck. Fortunately, a handsome firefighter comes to the rescue. Kaitlin immediately recognizes him as one of her customers who picks up donuts for the guys. She knows she is attracted to him, but she doesn’t make a move on him. When she and her daughter go to a restaurant, Maverick is there with Sophie. He notices Kaitlin and is surprised that she has caught his attention so fiercely. He sees her often in the bakery, but what was it about seeing her here at the restaurant that was making his mouth go dry? He couldn’t stop watching her and listening to her laughter. Sophie got his attention back and made it obvious she did not appreciate his distraction!
When Maverick offers to help with preparations for the school’s Christmas performance, Sophie comes along to paint the sets. It isn’t until later he finds she is also dating someone else and had only come to help so that Maverick would not be alone with Kaitlin! Sophie hates volunteering and does not like being around children. The more she talked, the more Maverick could see that they truly had nothing in common. Is it too late now to approach Kaitlin and ask for forgiveness? Would she understand and want a second chance with him now that his eyes have been opened to the truth? And will he show her that she is not “second best” but is the one he has needed in his life all along?

Part of a series of Frosty Pines, but can be read as a stand alone. This is a sweet and clean romance.
Kaitlin is a baker and single mom. Her daughter climbs a tree in the winter, but gets stuck. The fire department comes to rescue. Maverick helps get her daughter down and she does recognize Maverick as he comes to get donuts to take to the fire station. She realizes she may be a little attracted to him. Her friend encourages her to get to know him better. About the same time he meets someone else. Will we have unrequited love or will it work out?
I love the characters and story line. Ruby writes believable situations. I also appreciate that it is a clean novel that does not detract from the story. Great read.

Kaitlin owns the local bakery and is a single mom of seven year old Sarah. Maverick if a firefighter and helps get her daughter out of a tree she is stuck in. Feelings start to grow from both of them, but he is dating someone else. More and more time is spent together working on sets for the pageant, helping in the community and picking up cupcakes at the bakery.
Loved the characters, their chemistry, personalities, passion and banter - bad jokes. The storyline is heartwarming in the beliefs in community service and commitment to one person at a time. The ending was a perfect way to bring it all together.

This is a sweet romance of a single mom, Kaitlin, and a man who realized he wanted more in life, Maverick.
Kaitlin was hurt when the father of her daughter left when she told him she was pregnant. Maverick was looking to settle down and thought he found a connection, but soon realized what he wanted was in front of him the entire time.
This is an enjoyable story that definitely reminded me of how hard dating can be. Maverick struggled with his feelings but was honest with both Kaitlin and Sophia. Kaitlin had her reservations after she was left but did amazing things for herself.

Maverick is the chief firefighter, and every morning he goes to get some goods from the bakery for the station. He just starts going out with someone, but at the same time, he is attracted by Kaitlin.

Kaitlin, the baker and single mom living with her daughter. She got into trouble and got stuck in the tree in winter. Maverick from the fire department comes to rescue. Maverick happens to be a customer at her donut place! Things soon develops. However, Maverick seems to be seeing another person. Love story never seems to be simple, right? Especially during Christmas time.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Kaitlyn and Maverick and little Sarah. Maverick is a fireman. Kaitlyn is a single mom to Sarah and she runs a bakery. It's getting close to Christmas and everyone is getting ready,v from baking to practicing for the play and set up. So when Kaitlyn and Maverick volunteer to help with the community theater set painting, their future changes to.

Kaitlin has time for only two things, Her daughter and her bakery. Maverick enjoys his life as a firefighter and his friendship with Kaitlin. So why, all of a sudden, the two find themselves attracted to each other. The attraction grows when Maverick helps rescue Kaitlin's daughter out of a tree. The when her daughter is chosen for the Christmas play, Kaitlin agrees to help with the sets. Maverick also agrees to help and the two find themselves spending more time together. Can they come together for more then friendship.

I love this sweet town of Frosty Pines, the characters that live there are wonderful, and the way the stories are written you feel that you know them personally and that you too are there.

This touching story is heartwarming and had me in Kaitlin and Mavericks' corner. She runs a bakery while Maverick is a firefighter who answered the call when her daughter got stuck up in a tree. The story has a Christmas vibe and zi loved connecting with Kaitlin and Maverick.

This book has all my favorite things, a baker, a fireman, a cute little girl and all at Christmas time! The story is full of heartwarming and lighthearted moments with small town charm and a sweet romance. Very well written with an enjoyable storyline. I loved it!.
