The sexy baseball players of Jennifer Seasons' Diamonds and Dugouts series slide into home with a final fiery romance worthy of a World Series win.

Nightclub manager Leslie Cutter has never been one to back down from a bet. So when Peter Kowalskin, pitcher for the Denver Rush baseball team, bets her that she can't keep her hands off of him, she's not about to let the arrogant, gorgeous playboy win. Especially when the prize could put her business on the map. She's got this in the bag, just so long as she can stay out of his arms … and his bed.

Peter struck out once before with Leslie, but this bet is sure to be the second chance he's been waiting for. Determined to stoke the passion he knows is there, he'll do anything to win—even if it means playing a little dirty.

But as things heat up, this combustible pair will have to decide just how much they're willing to wager on one another … and on a future that just might last forever.

4.5 fun, sexy, exciting stars!

I just adore Jennifer Seasons’ Diamonds and Dugouts series, and with Throwing Heat she’s hit another home run!

My review

Diamonds and Dugouts is one of my favorite Contemporary Romance series because each book and each character has so much passion, so much life that I can’t help but become invested in their story and attached to the people, each and every time.

I hope I’m wrong, but based on the blurb calling this “a final fiery romance” that this might be the last book? I sure hope not because I absolutely love the Rush world and its players and can’t get enough!

Edited to add: The author just "Tweeted" me and said it's NOT over! Drake gets a novella in February! Woooooooooot! That makes me soooooo happy!!!

The bottom line

Throwing Heat is a fun, sassy, sexy story, but there was some serious emotional depth to this one, too. Who knew I could love a heroine who would work so hard to keep the hero at arms length? And who knew that hero, a cocky, sexy, ‘I need no one’ MLB pitcher could be so vulnerable!?! But it’s that vulnerability that made me want to bring Peter home and love him all better, and that made me round this up to a 5 star read. And at just $1.99, these books are a steal!

My thanks to Avon Books for providing me with a copy of this awesome story in exchange for an honest review.

I loved Throwing Heat from it's easy to love characters and the steamy romance between Leslie and Peter.
Both of them were fantastic and adorable to read. And this is my first book from Jennifer Seasons, and definitely will not be the last!

"How bad do you want to come for me, Leslie?"
"You want to make out with me, don't you?"

"His mouth came down hard on hers, his tongue thrusting between her lips in a kiss of straight possession. Leslie couldn't do more than moan and wrap her arms around his neck. Her brain went into overdrive and short-circuited. God the man could kiss"

Another fun addition to the Diamonds and Dugouts series. Loved the witty banter between the Rush's pitcher, Peter Kowalskin, and Leslie Cutter, whose brother is on the Rush team.

cute but why in the world would you give us a tragic event in the middle of it all, introduce a long lost never known about sibling only to leave it as they met but nothing else, maybe a second book or something but really this did not make sense if you werent going anywhere with it, it should have just been left out completely. the story was cute between the two and the build up to their crazy halloween night was awesome but that was the only good part for me unfortunately.

A hot and sexy read featuring a smart and sexy club owner, Leslie, and hot and steamy baseball player, Peter. With enough tension between them to steam down the town, Leslie has a bet that she can't keep her hands off Peter. If she wins it will only help make or break her downtown club and whether Peter wins or loses, he can finally win Leslie. But can she trust the playboy baseball player or is he just toying with her heart? A fun, hot read in an entertaining series.

We've been pretty excited for Leslie and Peter's book since Stealing Home. Did it live up to your expectations?

Andrea: It did! I've always thought Leslie was a ton of fun, Peter too. And the chemistry between them was so hot even in the first two books. I just knew Throwing Heat would be great.

Autumn: I loved it! I love Peter AND Leslie. What did you think of the prologue? I always wondered about how their chemistry originated.

Andrea: I loved the prologue. I assumed their "beginning" was probably good and it was. I was unprepared for how emotionally vulnerable they both were.

Autumn: Me too! Leslie has always been portrayed as a confident, no nonsense chick. Peter, the prankster.

Peter and Leslie had some serious sexual chemistry. How did you feel about the pull and push that seemed to be a theme throughout the book?

Andrea: Well, there was a lot of push and pull, and not always the fun kind. If you know what I mean.... These two were definitely guarding their hearts, and if we hadn't been shown why, it would have been too frustrating. I think when you take in the insecurities, it's understandable.

Autumn: Agree. There was a lot of build up. But, I got it and it still got me steamed up a bit.

Andrea: Ohmygosh, YES! Kowalskin was hot & knew how to treat a lady well. He was dedicated.

Autumn: He sure was. He was definitely focused on her pleasure.

You and I are baseball fans. How much did you love the scenes with the players and their games?

Autumn: You know I have soft spot for baseball players. I love all the guys and I got excited during the game scenes.

Andrea: Yes! And I'm not ashamed to say I got a tear in my eye and all choked up when the Rush won big.

Autumn: Me too!!! I had butterflies.

Autumn: There was a bit of a surprise for Peter later in the book. It's hard to talk about it without revealing spoilers, but I was a bit surprised and curious to see if Seasons plans to finish out the side plot.

Andrea: Definitely! I would think that there must be more at play there. It was way too big to not be addressed. I guess we shall see...

Who would you like to see a book about next?

Autumn: I'm hoping for Paulson. Maybe the cute, bashful, redhead nurse may capture his attention.

Andrea: Yay! Me too! I'm very curious about him because he's supposedly not attractive, but has a great personality, and gets a ton of tail. I don't think it's just because he's a pro ball player.

Autumn: He has a magnetic personality I think.

So...now that we know more about Peter, who's your favorite?

Andrea: Oh boy, I was just waiting for this question! Okay.... Mark Cutter is my #1 because he has a super dirty mouth and dark blond hair. Next would be Peter, then JP. You?

Autumn: Peter is my top pick. He has a little rough to him, but he's also a deep thinker. Plus...he loves to read and wears glasses! Then, I'd say Mark, JP and I'd add Paulson in lady because he makes me giggle with his afro.

Andrea: Agreed! And don't forget the epic chest hair.

Autumn: Green afro's and chest hair

Andrea: GREEN GIANT!

So, I think it's safe to say we both enjoy the series and want it to continue?

Andrea: I would love for it to continue. Here's hoping.

Autumn: This book was my favorite in the series so far. I'm looking forward to more. Although I think Peter will always be my favorite.

Andrea: Peter will be hard to top. If the series is over, his and Leslie's story is a great way to end it.

Describe Throwing Heat in five words?

Andrea: Sweet, Funny, Sad, Sexy, and Romantic

Autumn: Exciting, sexy, frustrating, sweet, promising

Andrea: Nailed it! I'm really happy we read this series and that we read Throwing Heat together.

Autumn: Me too! Cheers!

The Diamonds and Dugouts series continues with this third installment that has headstrong main characters, non-stop flirtatious dialogue, and unrelenting sexual tension all wrapped up in a fun and immensely satisfying story. From start to finish I was fully engaged in the outcome of Peter and Leslie's back and forth battle of the sexes and rooted for their HEA every step of the way.

Leslie is good at choosing bad men who walk away from her leaving her to clean up the mess they leave behind. Three years ago she was at her lowest point and threw herself at star pitcher Peter Kowalskin who left before they completed their sexual encounter leaving her confused and her self-esteem bruised and battered. They've formed a friendship since then, as her brother and he are best friends, which has her ending up on his doorstep when the apartment he rents to her floods. This puts them in close quarters strengthening the sexual tension that's been there for years. Long nights and painful events have them opening up to each other and her falling for Peter against her will. All she wants though is to make something of herself on her own after being brought low by a conniving ex. She doesn't have the time or the heart to be hurt by misplaced feelings again but Peter's past and future win her over and have her fighting to help him see the HEA they could have if only he'll see that he's worthy of love. Leslie is a strong-willed heroine not afraid to go after what she wants. She's smart but easily led astray by her heart early on in life. It's a somewhat hard-hearted Leslie that emerges, one more cautious and not as quick to jump.

Peter grew up with an alcoholic father who bashed his dreams and his talent. Peter rose above that to become a star pitcher with many other artistic talents he perfected on his own. He's charming and super sexy and thinks himself unworthy of love. He lives in the moment but his feelings for Leslie are overpowering and has him thinking about the future for a change. It's an uncertain future hanging over his head though as a health issue has him rethinking his future, a future without baseball. I adored Peter from the very start! He has a playful nature and is willing to do whatever it takes to gain Leslie's heart. I ached for his lonely childhood and his continuing loneliness that Leslie could ease if only he'll let her.

The sexual tension between Peter and Leslie is off the charts hot and allows for a fun journey and a battle of wills between them. Peter has been attracted to her for a long time but is intimidated by those feelings so he has a tendency to put up an emotional wall when things get too heavy. I found this believable though and didn't hold it against him considering his sad and lonely childhood. The one annoyance amongst an otherwise wonderful storyline is the unexpected appearance of a long-lost relative which came out of the blue and is dropped just as quickly, never to be mentioned again. This event felt unnecessary and out of place with the rest of the plot. Barring that small issue I loved everything about this story, particularly it's mouthwatering hero, and I look forward to the next book in this series!

Leslie Cutter is the sister of one of the catchers for the Denver Rush’s baseball team. She runs her brother’s nightclub and has turned it from a barely functional club into a thriving business. Her dream is to buy the club from her brother and make it hers. Unfortunately for her, she’s a long way from having the money saved for a down payment.

Peter Kowalskin is the Rush’s ace pitcher. He’s also a very talented guitar player and singer. However, only his friends and people close to him know this because he would rather keep that private. Peter met Leslie four years ago and even though he was immediately attracted to her he didn’t act on the attraction because she was his friend’s sister. Three years ago, after Leslie had way too much to drink they nearly hook up. Since that night Peter hasn’t stopped wanting a do over.

When Leslie finds herself in need of a temporary place to stay the only reasonable option is for her to stay at Perer’s house. The attraction between the two is definitely still there and stronger than ever. It’s not long before they make a bet. By winning the bet, Leslie’s dream could come true and her whole future would be changed. The only problem is it might not be as easy as she would have expected not to lose the bet.

My Opinion

I really enjoyed Throwing Heat. I loved the chemistry between Peter and Leslie. I also enjoyed seeing the way Peter reacted to other guys with Leslie. It was so obvious to everyone that his feelings for her were way stronger than even he wanted to admit. I respected Peter for basically waiting three years to get another chance with Leslie. That made him even better in my opinion, but there were times during the bet that I wanted Leslie to slap him and tell him to go jump in a hole. Heck, I wanted to slap him at times. By the end though I guess I’m happy that Leslie didn’t. My only complaint about this book is that we spent most of the book knowing Peter’s true feelings and the way he thought about Leslie, but he spent most of the time in denial. We found out things about him like that he had only been with one woman in the last three years because he had no interest in anyone if they weren’t Leslie. But then he would say that Leslie was just someone he needed to get out of his system. I had a hard time believing that.

Throwing Heat was a fun and enjoyable read. If you like to read about hot baseball players then I would say this book is for you.

Jennifer Season’s didn’t wait for the first chapter – she had it from the prologue. It was steamy, sexy and a little heartbreaking. Enough to keep me going and going, until oh – it was the final page already.

Here are two characters that you will learn to love from the first page – Leslie and Peter. Nightclub manager Leslie Cutter has a bad history when it comes to trusting men and relationships. But it didn’t stopped her from betting with Peter Kowalskin – the hot pitcher for the Denver Rush baseball team – her brother’s best friend. The bet? She has to keep her hands off him for a certain amount of time, in the end she gets what she wanted the most: her future. She can almost taste her victory, now if there was only a way to fight off this crazy temptation every time he’s near.

That night in Miami had left Peter some sleepless night, and he wanted it to happen again. Only this time, it would end differently for both of them. This was the second chance he’s been eagerly waiting for. The chemistry, and the passion was still there, he just knew it. He knows this game, but he’s not afraid to play a little dirty to secure his triumph.

But things happen – it might have started with a bet, but their hearts were not safe anymore. Leslie was finally willing to give it a shot – but the question is, will he? Will all these be just a bet to him??

After reading Playing the Field, I was sooooo excited to read Leslie and Peter’s story – even then I could already feel the chemistry, the sexual tension that is radiating between the two. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED!! I had so much fun reading these two throw innuendoes, tease and falling in love with each other. The tension was getting thicker and thicker – it was a bomb waiting to explode and I was sitting there, reading, anticipating – waiting for it all to happen. This was a fun, light, and sweet read, a great story about love, and second chances.

Leslie Cutter loves a bet and one that will help her achieve her dream is perfect. The only problem is that she has made a bet to keep her hands off Peter Kowalskin. She has a past with him that makes her want to finish what was started years ago. Peter wants the chance to prove to Leslie he can finish the job. He will do anything to get what he wants even play dirty. The more time the two spend together the more they see they may just need each other more than in just bed. Can they get past the bet and take the step towards becoming more than a fling.

Leslie is a wonderful business woman. She made mistakes in the past but she has moved on from that. She wants to do what she can to get the nightclub for her own and make it well known. She is a very sexy woman who at times can be just one of the guys. She loves being a part of the ball teams extended family. You also get to see how caring she can be and how far she is willing to go to get what she wants. Peter is a sexy ballplayer who is getting close to the age to where he needs to retire. He has feelings for Leslie and has always been attracted to her. He also has some problems he doesn't want anyone to know about. He can be very moody at times and it takes some time for Leslie to bring him out.

I really enjoyed this book. Not just the two main characters but all the characters. You get to see how they all get together with each other and share the joys and sorrows with each other. They may not be blood family but they are close enough. The heat between Peter and Leslie is enough to light up the pages of your book. There is more to them than just heat I will say I got a few laughs out of their antics especially Peter and what he will do to get a date with Leslie. I would have loved to be in that class and that is all I will say about that. Leslie and Peter really have to go and see that they want more than just a fling. You see both of them slowly fall for each other. They have a past but this is the journey of them becoming more. The ending is perfect for this book. I will definitely have to look up the rest of this series and read it. For a fantastic book please pick this one up.

Having loved the first two in the series, both Stealing Home and Playing the Field, I jumped at the chance to read an ARC of Throwing Heat. Jennifer Seasons writes terrific baseball players, fantastic romances, and some pretty hot scenes if you know what I mean. The third book in the series tells the story of Peter Kowalskin, pitcher of the Denver Rush baseball team and Leslie Cutter, sister of Mark Cutter the Rush’s catcher.

Anticipating their fiery romance, Peter and Leslie come together in a crash, bang, boom that you’ve come to expect in a Seasons’ novel. Having had a brief fling in the past, when Leslie’s apartment is flooded by a plumbing problem, Peter sees this as an opportunity to finally find a way to get with Leslie. Beyond her plumbing problems, Leslie is dealing with financial hardships and trying to get her night club on the map. Peter is facing the end of his career, health problems, and an uncertainty in his future.

While I enjoyed the romance and the dialogue was very clever, it almost seemed like there was too much story. We have health issues, physical injuries, death, money problems, miscommunication and I honestly felt like I was on a roller coaster part of the time. Great characters but with so many obstacles in their path and not really dealt with, the book was a little ruined for me. I still loved the characters and enjoyed the story, it just felt like too much story in that amount of pages.

Throwing Heat is a fairly good addition to the Diamonds and Dugouts Series but I wouldn’t recommend it as a read alone for people new to Seasons’ work. Peter and Leslie are fun, witty, and wildly romantic characters but the abundance of problems made the book a little too much work for me as a reader. If you are wanting to start the series, be sure to check out Stealing Home and Playing the Field first.

Leslie Cutter (sister of Mark Cutter from Stealing Home: Diamonds & Dugouts Book #1) is trying to rebuild her name in the business world and is using her job running the nightclub her brother owns to do it. She eventually wants to buy the club from Mark and this bet with Peter will give her exactly what she needs to make her dream a reality. Peter can't get Leslie out of his mind and will do ANYTHING to win this bet. Leslie and Peter have amazing chemistry, their flirty banter is STEAMY and when they finally give in... someone get me a fan.. I am sweating over here.

Jennifer Season's Diamonds and Dugouts series is quickly becoming one of my favorite sports romance series. I now know that when I see a new book in this series is being released I can look forward to a great baseball romance, with a lot of heat both on and off the field. Each book revisits with old characters while introducing new characters and can be read in any order (although I recommend reading them in order, you really appreciate the other characters reappearances this way).

Throwing Heat exceeded all of my expectations. I feel like every time I review a book in this series I say it is better than the last and I have given the previous books 5 Stars- so this one is an out of the park home run if you ask me! This book will be on my favorite books shelf, and is one I am sure to pull for a reread sometime in the near future!

PS> Even better news, Avon Romance knows how to win this bloggers heart! This series is so affordable! All of the ebooks so far are priced from .99-$1.99 (subject to change), this is a base stealer in my book! It is so hard sometimes to find quality professionally edited books for a rockbottom price, these are well worth the price.. and then some!

The title of this book may apply to our hero, Peter's pitching career, but there's a lot of heat going on here. Lots of heat!

This book is so full of sexual tension that by the time you are finished you'll need a cold shower!

I was prepared to be annoyed by Leslie..she's one of those little spoiled girls that has everything but screws up all the time, but guess what...even though there were times when I did want to slap her upside her pretty head.

She basically has had some bad relationships that have screwed up her life and nearly landed her in prison for tax fraud.

YIKES!

And then as she's putting her life together and running her brother's nightclub, Peter, who she had an almost hot hot night with, shortly after she was cleared of the charges, makes her a bet. If she doesn't sleep with him by the end of The World Series, he'll perform at the club and make the down payment for her to buy it from her brother.

Oh yeah!

Let's just say, when she accepts, Peter pulls out all the stops to get her going!

Best one: The pole dancing class. I'm trying to envision two of my favorite former Pirates pole dancing...Andy Van Syke and Jay Bell. Sigh....

Best thing about Peter: His tattoo, nuff said.

But there's more than just a lot of almost sex and foreplay going on...

This book has some hilarious moments too between Peter and fellow teammate Drake. There's a definite bro-mance going on there. Love Drake!

Oh and Peter has his flaws..though they are hard to see, cos he's just a lovable stud.

If you love baseball, hot hot sex and a fun story...grab this one!

This is the third installment in Jennifer Seasons' Diamond and Dugouts series.

Leslie Cutter has always had horrible taste in men. One knocked her up in her teen years, one ruined her name by embezzlement and the latest is a player on and off the field. He's also her brother's best friend and the starting pitcher for the Denver Rush. The book starts off years ago in Miami after her ex leaves the country after the embezzlement fiasco. After a drunken night, she and Peter Kowalskin have a sexual encounter, not full blown but an encounter nonetheless.
Peter can't go through with it and leaves, causing an already insecure woman to doubt herself even more.

Peter is battling his own demons. He is retiring at the end of the season due to a degenerative eye disease and he wants a World Series win to go with it. He regrets not sleeping with Leslie years ago in Miami and wants another chance with her. He offers his place to stay after the building he owns that she lives in has a flood. He makes a wager with her. He will play guitar at the nightclub she manages and help her buy it if she can NOT sleep with him until after Halloween. Leslie jumps at the chance because this is her opportunity at self redemption. She can't lose, right?

I thought this was a cute read. A lot of sexual chemistry and sexy scenes. Only one full blown one though, which was disappointing. There were very good secondary characters and I hope they all have a book. My only complaint was that I wished it was as hot as Jaci Burton's sports series.

I have enjoyed all three of the Diamonds and Dugouts novels and this one was the best of the three! I have been waiting for Leslie and Peter's story since the first book, Stealing Home and I can say I was definitely not disappointed! There has been a history that you learn about that has been the reason that they have steered clear of each other from the beginning but through the story you see these two people who are afraid to love and get hurt learn to let go and trust that this person won't hurt them as others have in the past. There are so many funny, dangerous and frustrating scenes where they are both so close to letting the other one know how they really feel and then closing up because they are afraid that I was finding myself frustrated and anxious at the same time to see what would end up happening for them both. In the end I was really a little disappointed that the Epilogue didn't contain any information on the brother that Peter finds out about but hopefully in future installments we will learn more about him. It was also really nice to see how the couples from the first two books in the series played key roles in their relationships but this book could easily be a stand alone based on the relationship between Leslie and Peter. I will be waiting with baited breath for the next installment!

Man, Peter Kowalskin is one sexy baseball player! *fans self*

This was a really quick, sexy easy read. I liked the whole set-up with the bet idea and the UST that came from that - and oh the whole pole-dancing class moment!!!

I liked the way Peter had accepted that this was going to be his last season but at the same time felt that more could have been made of it.

There were a couple of things I would have liked to see resolved: Peter's feelings and relationship with his newly discovered brother and whether Leslie ever got to buy the club out from her brother.

Whilst I am usually pedantic about reading books in a series in order, I read this one without having read the other two and didn't feel like I was missing anything.

3.5 stars for that Yankee voice. I enjoyed this quick, easy and fun read. Hey, it's about an NLB team and the Boys of Summer. What's not to like? This entire series is fun. Each book could be a stand alone, but the same characters run throughout each book so it's better to read the entire series. This one is Peter Kowalskin's and Leslie Cutter's story. Two very independent and strong characters that have a history and incredible chemistry.

The prologue clears up the "why" and "what the heck" questions that you have about their relationship from previous books. Leslie and Peter don't start their chemistry in this book. Nope. It starts waaaay before their story is told. Leslie is Mark's little sister who is kinda sorta running from her life. She's borderline in hiding. Peter has his secrets and he's keeping them, thank you very much. The banter back and forth from these two is witty and quick. The action is fast. There are a few twists that will probably have you frustrated and thinking, "NOooooo!!! This can't be happening."

All in all, this is a fun read to gear up for the season.

Jennifer Seasons's Diamonds and Dugouts series has looked like so much fun, and I am so happy I finally caved and read one of them. I absolutely loved Throwing Heat from it's easy to love characters and the steamy romance between Leslie and Peter.

Gosh, I just loved the characters in this one. Seriously, they were fantastic. I already know I need to go back and read books 1 and 2 in hopes of seeing some more of the characters who I fell in love with in Throwing Heat.

The one thing that kept me from absolutely loving Throwing Heat was some of the situations were just a little too convenient several times over.

Man, Peter is pretty sexy. There are so many fabulous scenes between him and Lesie. Watching them go back and forth was pretty great.

I cannot wait to read more from Jennifer Seasons! I really enjoyed this one - I flew through it in a day, something I haven't done in weeks lately. Totally recommend :)

Throwing Heat definitely throws off a lot of heat while reading it! Lesley & Peter clash in a way that is fun and oh so hot. I really liked the "back & forth" between the two of them. Peter is trying oh so hard to force Lesley's hand, by placing them both in situations that bring them together. Meanwhile, Lesley is doing all she can to keep her distance...all of this to win a bet! Of course these situations bring out the best and yes sometimes the worst in both of them. Hey, it wouldn't be a good story without a bit of conflict now would it? I enjoyed Throwing Heat so much that I am off to check out the other two Diamond and Dugouts novels, Stealing Home & Playing the Field! I think you should too.

I didn't connect with Leslie and Peter as much as the characters in the previous books. And whatever happened to Peter's brother? One mention and then there was nothing more. Same as no one mentioned his father's death, his eye surgery, anything at the end. Felt like it dragged and then was wrapped up too quickly.

DNF
I don't recall reading this one before, but it was a DNF for me this time around. There were inconsistencies in the writing that it felt like the author forgot how the plot was paced, and the character's relationship development wasn't convincing. Unhauling this one.

Love this entire series but this one was definitely my favorite! Peter Kowalskin is one dead sexy ballplayer but he is an even better human being. The man he lets the world see is arrogant, cocky, and carefree. The real man is intelligent, studious, and at the end of his career. The chemistry between Peter and Leslie Cutter is off the charts, but because of a bet they made, it's hands off for the next thirty days.

Great banter and incredible sexual tension make this one explosive story. You definitely want to read this one. I recommend it.

I put "read" so that it's off of my TBR shelf.

I think the problem for me with this book was that there was a boatload of introspection but not a ton of dialogue and when I found myself skimming I put the book down. Obviously we NEED introspection in a book but not so much that it overpowers the amount of dialogue. I’m an every word reader 99% of the time so when I start skimming that’s a bad sign. I may go back to this eventually but for now it’s a DNF

Leslie and Peter were a great couple, you could almost feel the chemistry between them coming off the pages. Throwing Heat was a wonderful story line, my only problem with the book was that the author chose my favorite baseball team to lose to the Rush in the World Series. I'm not taking it personally though, I highly recommend this author and series. Even I'm going to be looking for more of her books.

Yup, it's official....I love this series!! The books got better with each one. I love when authors keep the characters from the previous books coming back and being part of the story. It's what I love about book series and it makes you want to come back for more. It also helps that I'm a sucker for a sports romance :)

This was a quick read for me. It was one of those filler reads that I was looking forward to reading and I thought it was cute. But that's about it. Pete and Leslie bickered a whole lot throughout this book and some of it was understandable but some of it was annoying. Still, it all came together and at the end, I liked them so it's all good.

A solid read but not one that I'll re-read.

Great story, great characters and great plot. Leslie is the manager of her brothers nightclub. Peter is the pitcher on the same team as Leslie's brother. They each had an instant attraction to each other when they first met 4 years ago. They make a bet with one another that will change their relationship.
