My brother came up with the idea of reading this book to learn the basics of economics. Both of us are ardent lover of Science and Maths and had never learned this subject, but reading this book has been so refreshing and wonderful!

I was struggling through India Unbound when I decided to pick this to help myself. It's a very light read, and passes like a breeze. Took me over 5/6 hours to be done with the entire book. It's incredibly informative and accompanies lengthy examples and explanations. Great for people like me!

Charts are just verbally explained and many Reasons for the changes are assumed rather than justified.

Cannot be called an introduction to Indian economy as a lot of text is just rephrasing some ideas again and again.... boring in multiple ways....
