I read this book in the 80s through the translated series called " Ketab Alyoum" by the well known journal Akhbar Alyoum in Egypt
It was one of the books influenced me at this early age. Rudolf Hess who lived his early life in astrict German family in Alexandria, Egypt was a mysterious rich personality for me . His attitude and adventure to fly in the dark to the house of his enemy either to really end the war or as rule-player was fascinating!!!!
His post-war life and refusal to apologize, staying alone in Spandau surrounded and guarded by the 4 alies and finally loosing his life as a consequence of this depressing way of life were heart-touching tragedy foe me !!! I advise to read this informative book
