I wanted to like this book but the story line was repetitive and predictable. The author wants the reader to believe the leading man is ex-military and the chief of police. Together with Kia, the main character, their romance is immature and filled with teenage angst. Thrown into the mix is your typical mean girl and I was back in high school.
