Vampires Jadeon and Orpheus have a few things in common. They both hate each other. They’ve both killed each other.
And they both just woke up in the same body.
When a vampiric reincarnation goes tragically wrong, two immortals find themselves ever-meshing into the newly-formed William. To make matters worse, someone is poisoning London's vampires and no immortal is safe.
William's struggle to come to terms with his identity and maintain his survival leads him to the beautiful and intelligent Inspector Ingrid Jansen, a woman who not only awakens his heart but may also help him save the city.
Embarking on a perilous adventure, William and Ingrid struggle to decipher ancient clues while staying one step ahead of the pursuing Stone Masters. Scouring the city from the aristocratic heights of its regal facade to the darkest deviancy of its corrupted core, they search for a way to reverse his catastrophe—and save all vampires from a growing threat far worse than the Stone Lords ever were.
Rising straight from the ashes of the shocking ending of A Vampire’s Reckoning, V.M.K. Fewings brings faithful fans back to The Stone Masters Vampire Series right where they left off, while guiding new readers into the embrace of London’s nightwalkers.

Wow! This book just blew me away. Amazing. Not sure what I can say that I haven't already said from previous reviews. So, I'll just say, this is a must read for vampires fans. I honestly can't believe more people haven't read this series.
I love all the new characters in this 3rd installment. My favorite. Paradom- I hope there's more of him in book 4.
It's not very often that a series comes along where you feel connected. I was drawn into the first book in this series felt the love, pain and sorrow of the main character. I enjoyed the beauty of Spain and the treachery and greed of some of the characters had to deal with. In book 2 my heart broke while our main character started to spiral into a very dark place. In this book there are moments of joy and heartbreak, of love and denial, of trust and betrayal it will leave you breathless and in many parts in tears (if you are at all like me :)) VMK Fewings has a fan for life in me as I will purchase any title she offers in the future.
Firstly once again I’d like to say a huge thank you to author VMK Fewings for the beautiful GIFT of this novel that she sent me to read and then to give my unbiased opinion of her novel.
Vampire’s Jadeon and Orpheus have a few things in common. They both hate each other, they’ve both killed each other and they both just woke up in the same body…. (ouch, that‘s got to hurt don‘t you think.. I sure do)
When a vampire reincarnation goes terribly and tragically wrong, two immortals find themselves ever-meshing into the newly formed William. To make matters worse, someone is poisoning London’s vampires and no immortal is safe. William’s struggle to come to grips with his identity and to survive leads him to the beautiful and intelligent Inspector Ingrid Jansen.
From London to Cornwall they search for a way to reverse his catastrophe - and save all nightwalkers from a growing threat far worse than the vampire hunting Stone Masters ever were.
~~ Two souls… One immortal… ~~
Daylight, that part of my life I’d long given up, exchanging her burning mortal kiss to become night’s lover, surrendering to that endless promise of eternity.. As only a vampire can. (this is one of my favorite parts)
Diving into A vampire’s Dominion, #3 of The Stone Masters Vampire Series I was excited and relieved that it picked right up pretty much where A Vampire’s Reckoning (#2) left off and what an epic part or spot to pick up from it was!!! Because the ending of Reckoning was a cliff hanger in my eyes, I remember saying “NO, don‘t stop here” but thankfully I had Dominion to grab already. Jadeon and Orpheus, or should I say that it was actually William try to seek a way to un-mesh their new body, and return to their former “single” bodies. While at the same time seeking and trying to save the London vampires… looks like they’ve got their work cut out for them.
So much extremely captivating suspense throughout this book that is enriched with the imagination that I have come to love in VMK Fewings books, a series so well written that you will find yourself hypnotized as you take this journey to experience vampires and a underworld with a completely new and fresh take like no other series. Yet the familiarities that we’ve also come to love in vampires.
A Vampire’s Dominion is full of action that is fast paced as the amazing trilogy continues to keep your eyes glued to each page as you fly through it reading.. Not wanting to put it down, just one more chapter and then I will I promise. Or not. Of course you won’t feel yourself lacking from this series as you will find betrayal, intrigue, love, corruption and the undeniable immortality of a vampire’s life. You will also at times find yourself laughing at the sarcastic wit between Jadeon and Orpheus; well technically once again this will be William. LOL, now I’m laughing as I write this review to myself as I remember one of the many favorite parts (I write them down, don‘t you?) where Ingrid said “Bloody hell; you shouldn‘t creep up on people like that!!!” then William said, “Excuse me? As he snapped this is my house, and I‘ll creep around in it all I want.”
This series is a must read for all lovers of vampires and vampire lore with a bit of history for our enjoyment and learning experience. If you haven’t yet to start The Stone Masters Vampire Series, then may I suggest that you do? I promise you won’t be disappointed in the least bit.
Recommend: 18 and up (some language) Rating: 5/5 angel stars
If you have not read the first two books in this series, do not read this review. Seriously.
Dominion picks up right where A Vampire's Reckoning left off: Orpheus and Jadeon have merged into one. Nemeses occupying the same body. Only they don't know it yet. He doesn't remember, and Alex dubs him "William". So a new vampire is born.
Let me tell you, when I read the last chapter of Reckoning, I was in shock, and throughout this book, it never really let up. Shock and awe, all the way. The gradual blending of two such opposite characters is utterly fantastic. I could not put this book down. It definitely absorbed me much more than the previous two.
And so the plot continues in the search for the secret that will separate Orpheus and Jadeon again, and as it's revealed, also the search for the vampire Dominion, this mystical vampire who supposedly can doom or save them all. The final revelation of Dominion left me reeling once again. I can't wait to start reading book 4. I need to finish this story!
The only slightly distracting problem I had was the characters. Compared to the first two books, the amount of characters nearly doubles, simply because two very separate lives suddenly merged. I had some troubles keeping who was who straight, and I found the writing to be very lacking in hinting at who people were. (It took me half the book to remember who Marcus was from A Vampire's Rise. I would have loved a bit more help for the reader in this area. Once in a while, I also felt like a few things were going a bit over more head, but I would say this is more the writing style, rather than a fault.
Overall, I highly recommend this. If you're game for an unusual vampire novel, check out the Stone Masters series.
[I received this book for free through First Reads and was not required to write a positive or any other type of review. All opinions stated herein are solely my own.]
I won this book as a goodreads give away. I loved this book, so why the rating? I have to get my hot little hands on the first two so I can stop filling in the information I'm not privy to.
The book is nicely written and it have a flow that is easy to follow. Two men from opposing sides trapped in the same body after rising from ashes.....I'm on it! The book has the ability to transport the reader overseas from Big Ben to narrow alleys, you are there. The author does a great job of showing you the love characters have for another with out dragging you through explicit scenes. If that's the heat you are looking for this book isn't for you. I am going to put in the work of grabbing the first two books in this series and I'm sure my rating will rise. The combination of fiction and history combines well in these pages. Read away. Then comment.
I will start with I think I was at a disadvantage by reading Book 3 first but oh well it was the first I'd won and was eager to start it.
I enjoyed the book very much and will at some later date like to read Book 1 & 2 and then reread Book #3 to pull the story all together. I liked the author's journey she took us on in the twists and turns, weaving the story along. You could feel for Jadeon and Orpheus hatred for one another and you could see the struggle they were having being stuck in one body.
I rated this book 4 stars but would like to have rated a 4 1/2 stars. I think other people should enjoy this book.
I won this book via goodreads giveaways from the author herself, thank you Vanessa Fewings for my signed copy.
This series is really coming together. I must admit that I am truly a fan now. It took me a few books, but I truly love it. The characters have finally come together and I finally see where this story is headed. I love it. I can't wait for the next.
This book really brings the puzzle pieces together. Full review below:
Excellent book with plenty of historical reference. This book tugs at you from all sides. After the build up from the first 2 books it leaves you not knowing whose side to be on or if you should even chose a side. I can only hope that there will be another book to tell the story of Dominion and whether he is able to unite the humans and vampires.
I received this book free from Goodreads First Reads. What an awesome read!! If you like stories about vampires, this is definitely a book for you!! I had to force myself to put this book down and go to bed last night.
Plot spoilers. I would say the first third of the book is slow and then picks up the pace, the last third races along. The storyline is complicated and full of intrigue, as you would expect from the author. That Jadeon and his nemesis Daumia now reside in one body, their struggle unique and flaying the psyche of William to ribbons. William's love of Ingrid was especially slow to unravel but sweet when it did. The search for Dominion reached through the Stones once again. There are some sex scenes each of them appropriate and loving although elements of BDSM are implied. The storyline is bloody and often callous. I will be purchasing the next book.
I received A Vampire's Dominion, by Vanessa Fewings as part of the First Reads program. I loved this book, and can not wait to read the first two books in the series. While the book was easily appreciated as a stand alone novel, having the back ground information on the characters would have made for a richer read.
Set in modern day England, A Vampire's Dominion is the story of Jadeon and Orpheus, long time rival vampires who awake in the same body after having killed one another. While searching for a way to seperate the two individuals within him, the newly formed William encounters secret societies and is unsure who to trust as "friends" from both Jadeon's and Orpheus' past come together, each wanting their old friend back. It is in assessing the characters' motives that I would have appreciated having read the previous books. Also, having the background information would have made it clearer when Jadeon's or Orpheus' personalities were at the forefront, driving William's perceptions.
The novel is elegantly written, just descriptive enough to form beautiful images in my mind without being heavy and verbose. Characters are not romanticized, but stubborn, and a little gritty. Ms Fewings earned my respect by writing an intimate scene that was both essential to character development and plot, without the need to spell every movement out with vulgarity.
I'm uncertain whether this is the final book in the series, but crave more knowledge about Alex, Sebastian and especially Fabian Snowstrom!
It's now just after 2100, and I'm about to start cooking dinner. I was going to start at 1830, but I "accidently" picked up Vampire's Dominion, and then just had to finish it!
I think I'm going to have to find the first two books, to catch up on the back stories!
The language used is a little over-flowery at times; the story is excellent, with plenty of twists and turns, like a maze.
Well they are them selfs again. The road that lead them was really trickie to keep up with. If everyone was on the same wave lenth it would have made it easer for Joreod. They did all come together in the end. And it worked. The Vampires have there king.
