Harsh reality shattered his great expectations…

Krase warrior Noble Chaos had met two Earthlings. Enchanted by their foolish bravery, he decided he wanted a human for his own. When he obtains the job of tracking down one of the illegally sold Earthling slaves, his dreams of a wild love affair are destroyed when he realizes his target wasn’t bought for pleasure, but for torture.

Kyle Miller wanted a small, quiet life, so when he’s put on an alien auction block he’s stunned, but that’s only the beginning of his nightmare. When the alien who buys him turns him over to another, he’s subjected to horrific cruelty that batters his body and almost shatters his mind.

Will Noble be able to reach Kyle in time? And even if he does, will Kyle retain any of his sanity?

1.5 - 1.75⭐, rounding it down.

I have no words for this cover.

Noble Chaos is a character I definitely liked in Jarrett and Ranic’s book and I was hoping he’d get his own story.

Well, he did, it's just that it’s an awful one.

There are too many elements that are skimmed over without any real development. Meanwhile, the author spends too much time talking and explaining things that aren’t vital to Kyle and Noble’s story.

🔵 Noble Chaos, a Krase warrior / another human slave, he's taken out by a plane crashing into his house
🟡 Size difference
🟣 Age gap, Chaos is 36
🟢 Xpress insta love, right after torture
🌶️ Some sex scenes; little oral, kissing, penetrative, some rimming; no prep; t/b

“What?” Kyle asked.
“I’ve stained you.”
“So what?” Rather than anger, Kyle laughed. “I’ll look like a Smurf creamed my face.”

Noble Chaos wants his human. He’s only seen Kyle briefly on the auction stage, but when Kyle is bought by the wrong owner and brutally mistreated, Noble is sent on a mission to retrieve him and bring him back to Krase.

And make no mistake, Noble comes prepared. Oh yes, he’s even bringing along his cock shrinking device, so he can have sex with Kyle. Never mind that he doesn’t know Kyle, doesn’t know if they’ll even like each other and is fully aware of what Kyle just endured, but here we are.

Then suddenly Noble grows a conscience and decides he can’t sleep with someone who’s been so tortured and traumatized, but this is where Kyle steps in. He’s not having any of it! He decided he’s getting laid, period. His wounds aren’t even healed yet, but a space dick is a space dick.

“Careful, my lusty one. I will mark your face again.”

“I will not mind.”

The author somehow manages to cram torture, pain, Hitler and quick sex all into just a few pages. Where does her mind even go? Do I even want to know?

"During a class in college, Kyle remembered the age-old question about going back in time and killing Hitler. Most people said they would go back and take him out, but the point of the lesson was to consider what that would mean. Everything would be different if there was no Hitler."

Why? Why is this important in a story that’s supposed to be about two men having sex and finding love in space?

The story is terribly told, it has two main characters who immediately fall in love with the mandatory marriage, following the exact same formula as all the other books. The ending is abrupt, the epilogue gives you a few sentences of their future and again, 130 pages and this is what you get.

What a waste of an intriguing character. Noble Chaos really did have a lot of potential. And Kyle wasn’t so bad either, they actually fit, they could be great together. Chaos could give Kyle a bit more time, they could go back to Krase and get to know each other and then fall in love. And something more could happen in these books besides the space dick.

This story only manages to scrape by thanks to a bit more of Tyler and Blessed, which saves what little can be saved.

I'm interested in Vengeance, but I'm not even remotely getting my hopes up. I don't know if he gets a story, but if he does, it probably won't be good.

Should have been so much harsher and more gritty given the subject matter. Not bad as far as SciFi goes but you have a real alpha who saves the man who is being tortured. Within a few days the tortured fellow is all in for a relationship, sex, and such. It's too tired of a cliche - too quick and for goodness sakes dude was TORTURED. Give him a moment to get over it - one assumes he has scars and scabs and everything.

Liked the world building - and the concept of the society. Siren is just not publishing enough grit and rough for me I guess.

"Harsh reality shattered his great expectations…" is the summary sentence that pretty much describes both main characters' situation. Kyle wanted a quiet life on Earth, instead he is abducted by aliens, sold, then passed on to another alien species and tortured. Noble, a Krase warrior, has decided he wants his own Earthling to love, but all his notions of conquest and 'making a human fall in love with him' soon go out the window.

Noble is given Kyle's file and told he needs to find the human and return him to Krase. The fact is that he has fallen into the hands of a species known for deriving pleasure from others' pain. Krase warriors are not known for being emotional, but Noble's feelings are all over the place as he frees Kyle, sees how much pain he has suffered, and gradually gains his trust. Noble also gradually falls in love, and his thoughts as he discovered this new side of him were as touching as they were amusing.

Kyle doesn’t have it easy. But he is resilient, and discovering that not all aliens are evil soon keeps him busy and distracted. Kyle is as curious as the next guy, and doesn’t let anyone tell him what to do, much to Noble's surprise and delight. His willingness to trust and even attempt to protect Noble was wonderful, and he had me cheering him along the whole way. Teaching another Krase about humans turned into a great adventure!

The balance between humor, kinky alien sex, and quickly developing tenderness and feelings between two very unlikely partners, was great. The fact that Tyler and Blessed from book one were back again was just icing on the cake. If you like stories with interesting aliens, if you enjoy reading about an unemotional warrior learning about his emotions, and if you enjoy the combination of "funny" and "hot", then you will probably like this book.

Woo wee, this was the best yet!
Noble Chaos wants a human but he ends up getting more than he anticipated. Kyle is a quiet, introspective man who is captured by a truly evil being. When they come together they both see the other side of life and like what they see and learn. This one sucked me in even more because of Noble Chaos' compassion.
I think Anitra Lynn McLeod is very talented at not only creating aliens but making the reader see that alien. I'm a true fan of this series.

This is possibly my least favourite so far in the series. I’m not even entirely certain why. I mean the specific premise is one I tend to enjoy.

Well, let’s get to the relentless complaining.

“Crimes against slaves.” Iffy, that. The concept can have no meaning in this world, since we’ve been told repeatedly that a master can do whatever he wants to a slave. Thus it makes no sense for Noble to even voice a thought like that. Luckily it gets shot down, but still. I guess even in my highly impossible and super-light reading I like to have consistency.
We do, however, get another interesting look into the nature of the devotees.

I appreciate Noble’s foray exploring the moral and ethical repercussions of this series’ premise. Humbled, he certainly seems infinitely more likeable.
Because, yes, I really like Noble. Sadly, I can’t say the same for Kyle. I realize he’s been through a lot but what we learn of his life before he was taken does not make him any more to my taste. He just rubs me wrong.

The previous books had insta-love too but in this one I don’t really feel it. Maybe that’s at the core of my discontent here. Emotionally it simply… lacked. Too little, too late, and then too much.
Well, there’s also the idea that if Krase warriors are predetermined to fall in love with humans, then it takes a lot out of the romance. As though it could be just any human as opposed to a specific person.

One last thing. If it had taken Kyle a long while to embrace CDs in favour of records, he must be significantly older than we were led to believe. Jarrett, who is forty, stated everyone else was “young and hot”, barely eighteen for some. Although we do get Zane who is thirty-five or so. Still, I thought Kyle was supposed to be quite young. The CD reference puts him at forty and up.
I mean I know this is sci-fi, but I doubt the author plucked them from a past earth. Particularly because, you know, iPods.

I think this was written better than the last one, but still moved way to fast. I would have liked more healing and less insta-love
I still read it in one sitting though, so it was entertaining

ชอบที่สุด Enslaved by a Rebel (เล่มที่2) , Enslaved by an Officer (เล่มที่8) และ Enslaved by a Rogue (เล่มที่9)
ชอบมากๆ Enslaved by a Trailblazer (เล่มที่3) และ Enslaved by a Brute (เล่มที่4)
ชอบกลางๆ Enslaved by a Warrior (เล่มที่1)
เฉยๆ Enslaved by a King (เล่มที่5) , Enslaved by a Barbarian (เล่มที่6) และ Enslaved by a Hero (เล่มที่7)

Enslaved by a Brute
Sold!

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

While disappointed not to experience another/different alien, the story itself was great.

Abused and tortured Kyle quickly finds something to reel him back to the real world with gentle Krase warrior Noble. To overcome his ordeal requires super mental ability that impresses not only Noble but other Krase warriors.

Noble, anticipating wanting his own human, goes out of his way to prepare for the situation with various toys and such. On his journey, he learns more about himself and how selfish he thought to be when he started out. Kyle's resilience is the first true step to wanting to experience love and actually falling in love.

On the other hand, though Kyle is recovering and not sure if he'd be able to experience arousal again any time soon, which he discovers he can. The sex scenes were few, but where is the time available? After their first time, Noble is arrested. Then the trial, and eventual punishment, THEN Noble is able to go to Kyle. But again, since their device for penetration was confiscated... The lack of more sex scenes did not bother me, but they did lack the same intensity of the previous 2 books. Possibly because we've already seen/know what to expect with a big hulking Krase warrior?

While they go to find more sold humans, I really hope we come across more and different species mating.

A sexy romp through the stars

A short, sexy sci-fi story about the relationship between a fierce Krase warrior and a rescued human slave. The writing was a bit simplistic but imaginative and endearing. Recommended.

As usual this series is amazing and gets better with every installment. I cant wait for the next two next month!
One negative I wasnt impressed with the sex scenes. They were few and brief and far from graphic. Lacking a little steam in my opinion.
