Λοιπόν, αυτά τα βιβλία είναι τρομερά! Ωραίοι χαρακτήρες και ιστορία που κυλάει με μεγάλο ενδιαφέρον και πολύ βατή γλώσσα. Τέλειο για μικρούς αναγνώστες αλλά ακόμη και για την τάξη, διαβάζονται με μια ανάσα!

Διάβασα ήδη δύο μέσα σε μια μέρα και φαίνεται πώς δένει την πρόοδο της πρωταγωνίστριας εμφανίζοντας νέες πτυχές της αλλά και δίνοντας της διαρκώς ευκαιρίες να εξελιχθεί και να ωριμάσει! Σε αντίθεση με άλλες σειρές, δεν είναι αυτό που θα λέγαμε "κοριτσίστικο" - η παρέα που δημιουργείται είναι μεικτή, με παιδιά όλων των ενδιαφερόντων και χαρακτήρων που αλληλοσυμπληρώνονται και υποστηρίζονται. Κάθε βιβλίο δείχνει κάποιου είδους συναισθηματική πίεση, ένα πρόβλημα ή και παραπάνω που χρειάζονται λύσεις και μας αφήνει να εξερευνήσουμε πιθανές λύσεις μέσα από την οπτική της Heidi, ενός φουλ δραστήριου αλλά συνεσταλμενου παιδιού, με μεγάλη ενσυναίσθηση και δημιουργικές ιδέες που ακόμα και οι μεγάλοι θα θαύμαζαν!

The Heidi Hecklebeck series is intended for children ages from K-4. The series regards a girl named Heidi Hecklebeck, who is secretly a witch. Heidi goes to school everyday and has to act just like every other kid in school that isn't a witch. Heidi has been homeschooled her whole life, so going to public school is a huge change for her. The series embarks on the troubles and adventures of Heidi going to school. These books cover many important issues that are very common in school such as bullying, loneliness, and making new friends. I think that this is a great and relatable series for children to read because even though Heidi is a witch, she has completely relevant experiences that most kids face everyday in school.

I read Heidi Heckelbeck and the Cookie Contest and liked it. Well written for kids, especially girls, at the beginning chapter book stage as it incorporates large print and lots of pictures. Heidi Heckelbeck enters a cookie contest but decides her dad's cookie recipe needs fancying up. Predictable results. The only surprise (for me) was the bit of magic incorporated into the story. It was unexpected and makes me think it would probably be better to read the series from the beginning.

A series young enough for the G, short chapters and plenty of pictures. Enjoyable enough for me! No chocolate or animal fairies, thankfully.

Audrey really loves this series - she has zoomed through it, It is the first series I have seen her do this with.
