According to my friends, love is in the air in Silver Springs. Given my history with magic, I know that Cupid isn't responsible for helping my friends find their soul mates. It's magic. The very thing I have sworn off since my academy days. I understand too well the trouble that magic can cause.
Besides, I'm too busy running O'Malley's Irish Pub and running away from my past to fall in love.
I mean, can I really be blamed for mistakes I made fifteen years ago when I had pimples? Just because I made some mistakes doesn't mean I shouldn't pull all that behind me. I prefer being Charlene or "Charlie," as my friends call me. Yet, I can't quite get away from the person I used to be. I want to forget about being "Raven", though my enemies are happy to remind me.
Despite wanting nothing to do with love, I can't seem to avoid the smoking hot caster, the conjurer who believes I'm guilty of a crime, and my wolf-shifter friend with whom I accidentally have an amazing one-night stand. How hard is it to achieve my goal of being a lonely spinster with too many pets?
Raven is part of the Silver Springs Pets shared universe but can be read as a standalone.
Paranormal RH Rom-Com with shifters, witches, and a lot of humor.

I was excited that Charlie got her own book and am amazed that this motherly figure has so much love to give her found family after everything she’s been through. Gray and Milo have always had a sweet spot in my heart. Out of all of the guys, Milo is most definitely my favorite. I enjoyed seeing so many SS residents in this book, especially Daire and Necro Kitty. I can’t wait to see what happens next in a town that’s full of magic and surprises. Unlike most Silver Springs books that can be read as standalones, this isn’t one of them. So I’m assuming it’s more reader error than an author error, but this book is somewhat difficult to follow and understand if you haven’t read both of Dahlia’s and Misty’s books. I have some background from reading Dahlia and Misty, but somehow I missed Dahlia with a Side of Fries and it feels like I missed a lot from a single book.
Charlie feeling lonely and displaced in college thinking that a group of people were her friends and even one was her future husband Reed, including her familiar Ignatius the Raven, soon realized she had been tricked into reading the Book of Ancient Magicks, a book of curses and if she tried to use magic it would end up being black magic. Fast forward she had divorced Reed and reconciled that she is not interested in getting married a second time. Charlie has made her life magic free does not use it or want other magic users to use it around her. When unknown to Charlie her life is about to change, and one of the first things is a wounded Raven is bought to her to take care and fix it's wing. Is it Ignatius he is not talking and nothing she says gets him to talk to her. Even though Charlie is not wanting to give marriage another try little does she realize Milo a wolf shifter, knows she is his mate and he is trying to get her to notice him as more than a friend. And why is Preston Dascalu, a descendant of a founding witch family doing in Silver Springs and why is he showing interest in Charlie? Quinn having taken over family handyman business since his father retirement, was not used to fixing things without magic but as he was at Charlie's house and she refused to have magic used, Quinn was finding he was enjoying fixing things without magic, and what about his attraction to Charlie? What, How, Where did all those snakes come from in the diner floor, Who is doing all these weird things that are happening around Silver Springs and they are making it look like Charlie is involved, is that Preston Dascalu is in town?
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "RAVEN" This story starts off with chaos at Hallowed Woods Cliff Haven Academy so full of betrayal, angst, intrigue, suspense, mystery, danger, dark magic, emotional turmoil, heartbreak, manipulation, glamour, steam, twists that a make this a very addicting adventure. Charlie run O'Malley's Irish Pub trying to forget her horrible past betrayed by friends & her familiar Raven Ignatius Reed & Zeth were jerks they took advantage of her loneliness & having no friends Zeth glamored The Book of Ancient Magik which is dark magic spells to look like The Book of Ancient Charms to take down their rivals once used her being a powerful Witch shell always use dark magic since she used it already so she's sworn off magic altogether. Charlie being cursed she doesn't let anyone close to her she afraid to tell them the truth of what happened to her weird things start happening around her, Preston Dascule a descendant of a founding witch of Silver Springs arrives in town is he the cause of what's happening & he's showing interest into Charlie. Milo is a Wolf Shifter 'Charlie is his mate he wants her to see him as more than friends, Quinn has an interest in Charlie also my heart went out to her nothing seems to go right for her she's given up so much because of the curse. I definitely recommend to get this phenominal well written story Charlie & her mate's take you on quite the journey will she get rid of the curse, will she get a HEA with her mate's, will she figure out what causing all the weird stuff happening around her it's a must you can't miss you so won't be disappointed I loved it. AWESOME ENTERTAINING MAGICAL ROMANCE I LOVED IT 🖤 🖤 🖤 🖤 🖤
Charlie was tricked, made to read from a book of dark magic, where the true name and purpose of the spells were hidden from her. After escaping her old coven she swears of using magic, and won't even allow it in her house. It's the only thing she can do to make sure she doesn't slip and speak the words of the curses now seared inside her brain, words that stop her from using even light magic.
She likes her life magic-free, and everything seems to be going okay for her back in Silver Springs until Dahlia has a premonition about her and it seems to unleash a whole hoard of events including a hunter coming to town to take her in for crimes of dark magic that she didn't commit. It also brings her three mates she didn't even realise she wanted or needed, but the adorable Milo, Gray's brother who works at the tattoo shop, an old friend who's had a crush on her for forever and even the enemy himself are exactly what she needs, especially if she looks to stop the one who is trying to get her punished.
I love every time I get to step back into the world of Silver Springs, so many faces we already know and love, as well as some new ones we haven't met before. It's always a magic, if not sometimes hilarious time and I couldn't put this one down like the many that have come before it. I also can't wait to see what comes in the next book, with hopefully more new and old characters for us to take an adventure with.
Raven is the 4th book in the Silver Springs Pets series. I loved reading it and meeting some new characters. With the beginning twist when Raven (Charlie O'Malley) was attending the academy for all witches, spell castors and conjurers'. Getting involved with the wrong crowed was not hard for Charlie to do considering she didn't have many friends at school. With all that behind her Charlie has turned her life around but it came with a cost because reading from book of dark magical spells caused her to become Cursed. Making Charlie unable to access her true magic. Raven or Charlene O'Malley -Charlie to her friends is the co-owner of her families Pub O'Malley's Milo - is a wolf shifter and friends with Charlie Preston - is a Hunter and castor.. Hunter meaning that he is like the Sorcerer Police Quinn - Childhood friend to Charlie and Spell Castor Ignatius or Iggy is Charlie's familiar and he is a Raven My favorite lines are towards the end of the story: Preston: "Who would fill the Pub with many deadly snakes? Milo: "A Rival Pub - or an Angry Boy Scout? Milo to Preston: You Ok Magic Boy" Preston: "Did that make him Wolf Boy?" This section had me snickering. So, if you love Magical Bondings, Angsty Hunters, Enemies to Lovers, Hot Wolf Shifters and Protective friends then you need to read Raven. I loved it and can't wait for the next book to come out in the Silver Springs Pets series.
I was really excited to hear Charlie's story. starting off with that heartfelt message from TB that really touched my heart .
The story starts back in Cliff Haven with Charlie, who back then was known as Raven and unfortunately got in with the wrong people at school. with an innocent prank that will reveal more of Charles past that I've been dying to know.
With a certain coller to help them on their way to becoming true mates. We meet new characters in silver springs like Preston, the undercover witch hunter from the Dascălu organisation, and lets just say they don't hit it off so well. Then there's Milo, who's related to Grey and has secretly been in love with Charlie for so long. And last but not least, Quinn óbrien the sweet, caring, and a bit shy handy man and childhood friend who's got a cheeky side to him that I just loved.
I loved the combination of magic battling the good and the bad with Charlie and her guys as they face her cures head on with a few funny moments and guest appearance from Dahlia, Grey and there men and poor Necro kitty I really felt sorry for the poor thing but luckily all turned out ok.
This is what I love about silver springs. When things get tough, they are always there to lend a hand. And that ending was just purrfect.
‘You’re good at memorizing spells. Yet, how can you recall every single spell from this book after only reading a spell once? Only truly talented and powerful witches can perform the magic inside these pages, witches like you. But, the terrifying part is this, Raven. The more powerful the witch is, the greater the urge is to use the spells. Now that I’ve removed the glamor and you know the book’s actual name, its spells will forever live inside you, begging to be used.”
After Charlie is tricked into reading an evil spell book, her life focuses on never using what she has learned. Raven tells the story of her past, and her eventually very fortunate future.
Tabitha Barret adds steamy Raven to the Silver Springs Pets series, with Charlie’s harrowing adventures. Through many struggles, she eventually manages to find true love times three, when those around her work together to defeat the evil that continues to haunt her.
Raven is the fourth book in the Silver Springs Pets collection. This is a standalone and ends in a HEA! We met Charlie in the previous books Dahlia and Misty. Things do get a little confusing if you haven't read those, buuuut I promise you, you won't be completely lost.
Charlie is a witch that refuses to do magic. She was tricked into reading a book of curses and now she's cursed. When she uses her magic, it will be black magic. So she is living a mundane life, as a bar owner. When the descendent of the founding witch, Preston, Milo, the brother of Dahlia's mates, and Quinn, who is Charlie's old friend arrive, a long time friend with a crush on her, her world is flipped upside-down.
I absolutely loved this and devoured it all in a few hours! The best thing is how interconnected all of these stories are. Charlie was so damn likable and so were the guys! Not only that but the plot and flow were just fantastic!
I love this world that Tabitha has built into Silver Springs. I enjoy the witches who are a bit different.
This book we follow Charlie, who we have met in other books. She is a witch who refuses to use her magic. She has never told anyone why she won't use magic. The secret is spilled in this book and boy is it juicy. It comes from her past at college, and making a terrible choice in friends. They trick her into doing bad things, because she is a very powerful witch. Dahlia has a vision and sets Milo on his way to help fulfill it. He brings Charlie a raven who is injured. She is sure she knows this raven, but it wont talk. Soon a dark wizard investigator shows up looking into her and the dark magic that has plagued Silver Springs. Then an old friend Quinn shows up to help fix her house. Soon she finds out she has mates and they are willing to risk everything to help her get her magic back to normal.
We have met Charlie in Dahlia and Misty so we knew a little about her but this gives us her full story. Starting in 2007 when Charlie is at Cliff Haven Academy she trusted the wrong people and ended up with a black magic curse that could kill her. Now in the present day it looks as if her past is catching up with just at the time when 3 sexy mates come into her life. Will she be able to save herself and her mates or is she doomed? Another great addition to the Silver Springs Pets series. I was really pulled in by the story and enjoyed seeing the relationships develop. Quinn really made me giggle with his remarks about Milo the first time he saw him come out of his shift! The author did a good job on bringing in past characters so there is a whole family/friend vibe throughout the story. I thoroughly enjoyed this this book
We meet Charlie at a peculiar point in her life where loneliness causes her a life of misery. Then we meet her mates, Milo, a wolf shifter that has known for sometime that she's his mate, however he waits patiently for her to realize the truth. Quinn the life long friend that they had a mutual crush but never confessed to each other, and Preston, the only member in his family willing to research the truth in complaints sent to them about dark wizards, and has trust issues in feeling the mate pull towards her because of his investigation into her and her dark past. While learning about each other a dangerous vengeance seeking man is on the loose seeking to cause destruction in Charlie's life. We learn a lot about Charlie in this book, it's hard not to fall in love with her.
This is book 4 in multi author series Silver Springs Pets and this is a wonderful addition to this series by Barret. Our main character is this book is Charlie who we've met in previous reads but finally has her own journey. A quirky mystery that will have the reader of a roller coaster of emotions and I guarantee you'll love every minute of it! Dark magic has found its way to our paranormal safe haven of Silver Springs and Charlie finds herself in the thick of the investigation...but as the investigation progresses, she finds help with friends to find her 3 fated mates and a life more fulfilling than ever! Smooth flowing storyline with great balance of humor and steamy chemistry and amazing characters. I love Silver Springs and all the quirks and can't wait for more!
This book was given to me for free at my request and I voluntarily provided this review.
I love this book. At first I was a little confused with the first chapter because is from Raven’s past but you eventually understand why is necessary. I really like Raven, I think I like how she’s so strong and powerful, even if she doesn’t know it, I like powerful women. I also like her mates, they’re funny and just so perfect, I enjoy reading the chapters form their POV, you don’t get bored. I would love to know more about their future together, I think they make a great group. Also, I wasn’t expecting that villain, I had so many guesses but that wasn’t one of them, pretty good twist. It’s a standalone but I really recommend reading Dahlia and Misty first so you can get to know all of Raven friends and understand everything a little better.
I love every time we get to step back into the world of Sliver Springs, the crazy adventures and the weird mysteries always promise a good time. We're introduced to so many new faces and we can't forget about the ones that we already know and love. It's always a wild ride!! Plenty of laugh out loud moments but we have our serious moments as well. Just know when things get hard and tough, there always a lending hand in Silver Springs. I love that!! Even though this book does brings a darker and serious tone to the town I still enjoy it. Looking forward to more books in Silver Springs. As always my reviews are totally voluntarily. No monetary compensation was received. The opinions I have expressed are completely my own.
Another amazing story from the magical town of Silver Springs. Charlie has shown up I some of the previous story and now we finally get to know all about her. She is definitely not proud of her past and will it lead to some serious problems. Now she will do everything possible to stay away from magic but how do you do that in a town like this? And don’t forget about a mysterious pet collar that seems to find its way to someone destined to find their mate or mates. The story has so many moments of excitement, danger and romance. I really loved the character of Charlie and the people around her. This really is an amazing story.
I was torn on my review for this book between four and five stars. The story follows Charlie who features in other stories in the Silver Springs library of books. The problem is that this story starts with the assumption that you remember everything from the previous books. While I have read everything before, its hard to remember them from how long ago I read them. The story building is good but it just lacked some needed details early on. Once it really got into the meat of the story it was great and turned out wonderfully just a bit of a slow start. Also I'm really happy that Charlie got her happily ever after!
Coming back to Silver Springs is always fun. The quirky adventures and crazy mysteries always promise a good time. This new season of Pets is upholding all that Silver Springs is known for. However, this book brings a darker and weightier tone to town, and I love it!
Charlie has been a player in town, so learning more about the witch who won’t use magic is pretty awesome. Watching Charlie confront her past as she meets and tussles with her mates is in equal turns funny, cringy (in the why did they say/do that sense), and endearing. This slight departure from quirky and highly comedic is a breath of fresh air in town and on my kindle.
This was a roller coaster of a reading ride for me as I followed Charlie along. We've met her before in other books in this series but in this one, we get her full tale. It's heartbreaking and has had a huge impact on her outlook on friends, life and love.... Sadly, dark magic seems to be plaguing Silver Springs and she's in the middle of their investigation. With help of friends, old and new, she finds she has three hot mates and a much better future than she could ever have imagined for herself. I loved the chemistry between her and her men and was thrilled that she finally gets her own HEA :D
Charlie (Raven FMC) has popped up in Dahlia and Misty's (Gray) book before but in this book (hers) we get to find out more about her backstory. Its not a happy one that's for sure. Betrayal, curses, backstabbing and loneliness are major factors in Charlie's with mainly only Dahlia and Gray in her corner backing her up. With huge trust issues it made her completely obvious to Milo, Quinn and Preston who are all interested in her. Charlie's story is not as light-hearted as other Silver Springs books. Still I loved the dynamic that Charlie had with the guys especially Milo who was a genuine sweetie. It was another great read in the Silver Springs library of books and I enjoyed reading it.
We meet characters again who we briefly met in previous stories in the Silver Springs Series and I'm glad to see she has her own book.
Charlie and Raven have a past where she was tricked into doing some things and she has paid the price a lonely life. She meets Milo a wolf shifter who knows she's his mate and he does everything to get her to notice him. Quinn is her old friend and back in her life and wanting more from her. Then there is Preston who is definitely drawn to her but doesn't know why. Can she finally get over the hurt that Reed caused her in the past and give these men the chance to give her the happiness she deserves.
Charlie is a witch who doesn’t practice magic anymore. One spell gone wrong and people who she thought she could trust betraying her. Now she runs the pub and claims to be permanently single. Here enters Milo a wolf shifter that is Charlie’s mate but he hasn’t told her. Quinn a life long friend who also has been in love with her, and Preston a witch who researches dark wizards. And Preston has for Charlie under his watch because he thinks that she has been up to no good. With all the action and secrets this definitely moves at a fast pace. And goodness all the spice with burn you up! A definitely must read!
We are revisiting a character we met in some of the other books of the Silver Spring universe Charlie, and we finally get to find out why she doesn't use her witchy magic. It's due to an event in her past, but she'll need all her strength to survive the events of Raven. On her journey, she also discovers she has mates, and an injured raven that comes into her possession seems familiar too. Another fantastic addition to the Silver Spring universe and the Pets series. Can't wait for more from this world!
We find ourselves back in the magical town of Silver Springs and this time we find out all the juicy gossip on Charlie, our witch who won’t use her magic! Throw in a wolf shifter, a conjured and a caster and you have an epic read where we see Charlie face her mistakes and her past all whilst juggling her mates oh ands not forget Ignatius the Raven. It’s a fun and entertaining paranormal read full of action, adventure, chaos and shenanigans and a little steam, that draws you in for an exciting ride.
I'm so happy Charlie got her own book! I loved her in Dahlias book and in Misty's book and we now finally got her book! And it did not disappoint! There was so much magic and spells going on and light vs dark found family (que my tears) Grey Milo and so many more cameos! We get so much more background information and just more everything! This book was just so packed full I loved it all! I highly recommend reading the rest of the Silver Springs Books before this one for more information/back story.
Charlie finally gets her own book! In the first chapter we get to see Charlie's past and what she went through all those years ago and why she hates magic so much. Then we begin to meet her mates. Milo is a wolf shifter and all his Wolf wants to do is claim her as his. A newcomer to town finds Charlie irresistible and can't figure out why. Then an old friend never realized how much Charlie meant to him. And once again someone is sabotaging things around Silver Springs. So much happens in this book you can't put it down.
I really like this book. It's a fantasy, reverse harem romance in the Silver Springs world. There's tons of action, drama, and funny moments.
I read this story without having read Dahlia, Misty, or Jupiter, but I felt like my questions were answered without reading those previous books. Now I want to read those characters stories!
One of my favorite things about Charlie's story is the marshmallow fluff. It's a hilarious element that Tabitha Barret managed to make scary.
Enjoyed this book a lot. Charlie got tricked when she was younger and is now cursed. As a result she has never let anyone get close to her and is afraid to tell anyone the truth. When random weird stuff starts happening around her some old friends are there to help her out but can they ever be anything more? I liked the way they guys helped her and showed her, with their actions, that they could be trusted. She couldn't help but fall for them!
I am so happy reading the Silver Springs stories again and falling in love with this years characters. This one is about Charlie who we've seen in previous books in the series. It's a part I love about it. It feels like you know the characters. I love this one with the pets and now this is the way they find their fated mates. But there's a surprise with all. Laughter, all the gooey goodness and an overall good story that makes my heart happy is what you get here.
We've met Charlie before as a side character in other SS books so it was heartwarming for her to get her own book and story. A witch who refuses to do magic is like water that refuses to flow. An that's Charlie. But she has her reasons. Until her friends start sending mates her way via her new Raven familiar. This story gets fun really quickly! I loved it! Maybe not as much smexy times as other SS books, but the laughs and story is there! Don't skip it!
