Paul was 29 years old when he discovered exactly why he'd always felt disconnected from everyone around him . . . he was an alien living in a human body! On an impulse, he takes a trip into the wilderness of Arizona, where a tiny spacecraft crashes to earth. Paul and Native American friends struggle to protect the small aliens from the military that has been tracking the craft's swift descent. Paul and the others are profoundly affected by what they hear from these visitors. They have returned to right an ancient wrong and to remind Paul about a special assignment that he agreed to before birth. Lauren Zimmerman weaves a tale of hope and suspense. Called introduces a world that promises to keep you anticipating the next book in the Other Worlds series.

When vivid, detailed memories of another planet and family begin to
surface, Paul is thrust in the midst of a daunting identity crisis. Finally deciding to embrace the truth of his unearthly origins, Paul soon finds himself reminded of the crucial mission that he accepted prior to visiting the earth: to reestablish a relationship between the people of earth and their universal friends and family. As the fulfillment of his mission leads him across the country, Paul soon becomes a hero to the imperiled occupants of a crashed alien space craft, ultimately learning secret truths about life, love, and the mystical workings of the world surrounding us...

Throughout the pages of Called, her imaginative, eye-opening new
offering, author Lauren Zimmerman takes the reader on a mind-bending journey through the unfettered depths of time-tested, universal truths. As he progresses on his enlightening journey of exploration and self-discovery, Paul’s spiritual metamorphosis will no doubt mirror a similar transformation in readers as they discover – in the same startling fashion – the deeper meaning behind life as we
know it. Definitely not for the closed-minded, Called is a powerful invitation to challenge your own preconceived notions about the world in which you live, beckoning you to a level of higher thought from which the light of true understanding forever shines. A thoroughly engaging read.

I loved the concepts and ideas as they touch a certain nerve-ending in my overall philosophy. I didn't become terribly immersed in the characters as much as the messages presented. Had it been longer with more character development; it would have been much more enjoyable.

I'm really not into the whole ET/Alien thing..but I enjoyed this book immensely more than I originally thought. The characters are extremely likable and the story gives you hope.
