I thank the Pasta, and the Sauce, and the Meatballs, for they provide me all my needs. "The Loose Canon" is much more different then the very first book based on pastafarism this is due to it being more about the religious story's told. Here are the facts, this book is approved by the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, and this book is made by the community of followers. Knowing this it's safe to say that this book is very much unique, funny, and satirical all at the same time. Making this book that much better when you read this book a realize how well written the story's are.

I did not like some of the humor, but this looks as good as any holy book, including the koran or the bible. It is also more acceptable than the competition given it is so more recent.
