The worst burden of my immortality was that being alone hurt less than the pain of losing the ones I loved. That changed after five charming mages crashed into my life, and I craved what I never let myself want; a life with them.
Not only did I break their hexes, but I accidentally bound their souls to mine—sharing my curse of immortality with each of them. Even with the guilt of sharing the very thing I deemed a curse, they were more than accepting of both the bond and my curse if it meant we could be together forever.
Navigating a soul bond between six mages was easier than we thought it would be, since all three of the empires outlawed the practice. Ruefully, our bonds weren’t the most pressing issue.
With an evil bone mage on the loose, assassins being sent to kill us, monsters wreaking havoc with the help of a rage potion, and the Revivium Empire trying to rule the world, we had to work together now more than ever.
With so much against us, could we defeat the evil infiltrating our world or would it be too much for even our immortality to handle?

4.2 stars. Ok. So. I still like it. But the dialogue is for sure starting to get on my nerves. There’s just so much repetition with the spells, plus it’s all SO simple that it’s kind of brain melting when they act like it’s the most profound or sweetest thing they’ve ever heard.
I’m gonna keep reading, because it’s kept my interest so far with sex and a mystery. Hopefully the last book is better.
Wow. This book picks up where one left off. Fawn, Aimon, Bastian, Casper, Jasper, and Silas. Are now learning to be a group. In this book we get some major questions answered but a few more questions we are asking ourselves. We do end on a major cliffhanger and I can't wait for book three.
Firstly, get used to that phrase because you're about to read it a lot.
After book 1, we really don't get to see anyone's magic in full force minus Fawn, so when chapter one starts and you can start seeing everyone's true potential and magic, it's awesome. I love how there is further world building in this book. The amount of different magical creatures/ mage classes is mind blowing. Although i do wish some of them are explained/pictured more, its an amazing fantasy world. You know you're in for a good read, so buckle up and let's get going! The way this book transitions from action like scenes to the witty/funny banter between the characters is great. It's as if you go from tense to light. I definitely had moments where I laughed out loud... Remember not to look like a "constipated lava lizard." Still laughing at that one.
This book does end on a cliffhanger, so if you aren't a fan of those either stop reading around 92% or just wait for book 3 to come out! It's not the biggest cliffhanger I've read, honestly.
Please be warned, if you keep reading this review you may get some spoilers! With that being said, let's dig in.
I loved the part with the guys feeling Fawn's period pain. It was so bad for them they made a potion to make it stop, haha. If only all the men in the world could understand. I love the cats she has too, love that they aren't contained to her cottage scenes anymore. Such a tiny thing that probably isn't needed in the storyline, but I'm glad it's there anyway. I do hate the amount of times Fawn said she didn't like/trust Matthieu and it was ignored, I was with her on this since book one.
These twins. Cas and Jas are like the two jokers of the group that just get everyone in a good laughable mood, constantly teasing their peers. I love their deranged nature, usually the unstable ones creep me out a little bit or I feel like they are the sole focus and you don't get to really know the other characters as well, but these two are written beautifully. If you don't get a good chuckle out of these two then I'm not sure what you're doing.
Oh my heart hurt for poor Daddy Aimon in the start. I was not happy for my Teddy Bear, but I'm also glad that he's immortal! I know I said it for my book 1 review but his nickname for Fawn is just one of the cutest I've every read, Bug. He definitely gives off the protector vibes of the group, always making sure everyone is fed and rested.
Shy Bastian, hearing more about his past, his scarred hands, and obvious fear for fire. I'm glad he was able to get his revenge/finally overcome something that haunted him from his past. The insecurities he has over his hands and the way Fawn automatically shuts that away and loves the scars that make him, him. Oh, and let's not forget about that sneaky little rune he has that we learned about in book one, don't worry... it gets used in this book. We get to know Bastian so much more in both past and present, he was the one I felt was overlooked the most in book 1, so I'm glad he wasn't in this one.
Silas, my my my. FINALLY! I've been wanting to see these Runes and ink magic in fully force since book one and I was not disappointed. Plus, I love his nickname for Fawn; he calls her muse. Don't get me wrong there are still a lot of tension between the two, but it's like little walls are coming down. Tho his trust in the Emperor was still kicking strong even though the rest of them were starting to loosen up from their duties. If he had only listen3d to Fawn, perhaps they wouldn't have found themselves in trouble. Oh and to be honest, yes, Silas, you are indeed like Bastian when he took the rage potion, haha.
This book was amazing!!! Delightfully, Charmed picked up where Cordially Hexed concluded. Fawn has soul/ spirit bonded to all 5 mages, and their hexes have been broken. They are all now preparing to go to the Empire's to gather information about the problems Hexarium are facing. Along the way, things get even more serious, and the circumstances are a lot more dire than any of them thought. Loyalty is called into question throughout all 3 empires, and that Matthieu is also very present throughout this book.
Some of my questions were answered, and this book really bought it together, but now I have more questions about what the heck is really going on??? Truths were revealed for not only Fawn but her 5 mages, and it was truly heartbreaking to read more into her backstory. She went through a lot. Also, her mages have gone through a lot, too, but have come out stronger because of it.
My mind was blown reading the last few chapters of this book, and I can't wait to see what happens in Tenderly Bewitched!!! I think it's going to be an explosive conclusion to the story, and your mind will also be blown away too!
I really loved that Fawn grew closer to all her mages, especially Bastian and Silas. It was nice to see a different side to Silas and for him to finally admit some feelings towards Fawn. Her relationship with all of her mages grew beautifully in this book, and I am so excited for the future with her men.
Also, Bastian, he is just so cute. I love him so much! He's such a sweet and gentle soul. Love him!!! Just all them men were beautiful, Jasper and Casper are deranged as ever, and Aemon is always a big beautiful softy especially for his Fawn...
Their nicknames for Fawn are so cute!!! Love them...
Definitely check trigger warnings as there are some darker elements in this book (mainly towards the end), and Lyra does a great job at all her themes.
The spicy scenes were also chef's kiss!!! 👨🍳👨🍳👨🍳
Thank you to Lyra and her team for allowing me the opportunity to ARC read for you. I really appreciate it. All opinions are my own 🙂
ARC Review of Delightfully Charmed by Lyra Winters * * * * * The second installment is packed with steamy action, danger, death and trickery...and it's not the end of their story yet!
Fawn and her five men are now bonded. All of them now part of her curse, and they honestly don't mind! They are connecting and finding forever with one another while still dealing with the monsters in their past, let alone the monsters they are being made to fight almost daily. As the threat that has been terrorizing their lands faces a new twist, the group is finding it a struggle on who is playing games with them and who to trust. They won't see it coming...and neither will you!
Love how they are all starting to bond. Casper and Jasper are still wonderfully obsessed but not so angry in protecting Fawn all the time, especially when it comes to Silas. Silas is also being less of an a**hole! YAY! Not to forget, Bastian finally gets some main action and faces a major ghost from his past which was a massive stepping stone for his character. A very special rune comes in play as well...won't mind one myself (wink wink). Plus, when the thing happens with you know who - you will know what I mean - totally called it! I mean, it was a vibe and I am sure a ton of you will get that too. Still we are given a bomb none the less because KA-BOOM! Shock and awe! We are still in for a surprise! After the last few chapters and that cliffhanger, I am eager to find out what happens next from Lyra Winters. She never disappoints.
We start where we left off. There were so many twists and turns throughout this book. It is jammed packed with a ton of action, drama, and mystery. I love that we get to see Fawn and her mages learning more about each other and how they are growing as a unit. We see a differences since the hex has been broken and the mages have their full powers back. The chemistry between all of them is extremely strong and felt throughout the story. It has spicy scenes that extremely well written and they definitely keep you glued to the story. Matter of fact, the entire book kept me glued to it with anticipation. You absolutely have to find out what happens since it pulls you in and doesn’t let go. I love Lyra Winters writing as it is always seamless and so beautifully written and developed. Then we get towards the end that it becomes explosive. So much is going on and then suddenly we have this major cliffhanger that has me absolutely on the edge of my seat. I absolutely cannot wait for the next book. Definitely a must read!
Delightfully Charmed by Lyra Winters was so good!! So, this book does start off right where book 1 had left us, which is a good thing because I needed to know what was going to happen! I absolutely love that the guys get to experience Fawn’s period pain and that it was so bad for them that they had to create a potion to make it stop. That made me laugh so hard. Oh! You also get more of the guys’ personalities in this book. The twins (Casper and Jasper) are deranged jokers, our teddy bear protector(Aimon) and our shy, insecure Bastian who was able to get his revenge and overcome something from his past. Can’t forget about walls up high, Silas. I love that they are coming down slowly. Plus! We get to see his ink magic and runes in full effect and they did not disappoint! Hot damn! All I have to say is, if they listened to Fawn instead of ignoring her, they would not have been in trouble.
I seriously cannot wait for the next book to come out. This book does end with a cliffhanger but from what I have seen on Amazon, we do not have to sweat much longer.
This second book in the "Spellbound Favors" series starts with action and ends with action, with a lot of love and suspense in between. "Delightfully Charmed" is a delightfully charming read, with Fawn and her men going all in while a war is looming around them.
I really love seeing the relationships between Fawn and her men grow, and watch them find a way to battle the monsters while trying to find out who the bigger threat is. Even though I wasn't entirely surprised with the answer to that question (of part of the answer?), the author still managed to add some surprising twists to the ultimate revelation. The end of this book is quite brutal, so make sure to read the warnings if you have any triggers, but it also feels needed for the plot development of this story.
Even if this book hadn't ended in a cliffhanger I would be excited to get my hands on part three, but with this ending it seriously can't come quickly enough.
This book was a very great continuation of the previous book in the Spellbound Favors series. It literally picks up right where we ended in the previous book. The relationships between Fawn and her men really deepen throughout this book and the cute phantom cats get an upgrade and are able to bond with the men more as well.
We have a looming threat and while we do figure out who/what the threat is - I'm not quite sure the direction of the next book, so I'm excited to see what L.W. has in store for us next.
There is a chapter towards the end of the book that has a trigger warning at the forefront. Definitely make sure you're ok to proceed as it can be ick/uncomfortable for some readers. (Love that the author gave the warning at the beginning of the chapter!)
The only spoiler I want to give away is that Silas has a soft spot and I've actually warmed up to him as a character.
In news that is not surprising to anyone who is a fan of Lyra this is another winner. It was lucky I have a case on my kindle though because I almost threw it across the room at the cliff hanger. I can't wait for the ending and I also never want this world and story to end.
This book doesn't just have the 'touch her and die' vibes from all the guys; Fawn has the 'touch them and die' vibes for her men. Lyra write such amazing characters and watching not only the relation grow between Fawn and her men, the whole group is growing together. Her animal sidekick spirit cats continue to be as adorable as ever.
The way she weaves magic into technology but also keeps some things old school like traveling by broom really helps the world to come alive. Especially when Fawn talks about how things have changed in the years she has been alive.
If you are looking for a new world to get lost in I highly recommend this one.
4,5*/5* Wow…just wow! This is the second book in the series, and honestly, I can’t wait to read more! I almost struggle to find the words to describe what I just read.Honestly, Lyra creates the best characters. They are so real, with all their faults, and yet I can’t help but love each of them. I love that she takes the time to focus on each character separately, so you feel like you know them. Also, not all love is instantaneous. Some of the male main characters take their time to fall in love. This book was also much darker than anything I have ever read from Lyra. She has written the dark themes so masterfully that I actually had to close the book and step away for a while, take a breather, and get back to it. That is some amazing writing. To sum it up, Lyra has once again written an amazing book, and I am impatiently waiting for the story to continue.I have received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I enjoyed this book but it didn’t leave me at the edge of my seat. I wish I knew this 2nd book had a review of the first book at the beginning, so I didn’t have to re read the first. Im glad that Silas fully realized what an antognizing jerk he was in the first book. Reading his point of view made it easier for me to forgive him. I also loved that this book had more bedroom scenes. Or outdoor scenes, against the cottage. I enjoyed reading about their suspicion of Mathieu. Finding his shrine of her, finding out his history really opened up the character and how he plays the main part of who they suspected. I was not a fan of the torture and I really appreciated the heads up the start of that chapter. I skimmed the scenes as I’m not a fan of reading about torture and the heartbreak. It gave me a bit of anxiety. I found it extremely slow until 70%. Then it flew by. Off to the next one!
I coundn‘t wait for the next book in this series. I thought the ending of the first was a bit predictable but it was still a pretty good story that had me hooked. The second book is equally as good. It has big plottwists and they caught me totally off guard this time. I love the FMC and MMCs, they are authentic, bad ass and very likeable. The world is soo cool. Kinda wish i would live there, but 🤷🏻♀️. Its so thought out, you can feel how many hours plotting was involved for this whole world with all the different mages and monsters. And then you have a compelling storyline that is addicting. You have spice, its not overly much but it is very hot.
The cliffhanger is not as bad as it could have been, which im thankful for.
I loved it, totally recommend. Cant wait for the last one.
There are many twists and turns, its packed with a ton of action, drama, and mystery, which keeps you on the edge of your seat and you won't be able to put the book down. if will also answer questions you had but bring new ones about.
I love that we get to see Fawn, Jasper, Casper, Bastian, Aimon and Silas learning more about each other and how to work as a unit, especially since they have their powers back, and more. The chemistry between them is strong and is definitely felt and builds throughout the book, and makes for great spice.
I didn't realize I was done the book until I was left with major cliffhanger, now I am waiting on the edge of my seat waiting for the final book to come out!
As always Lyra, your books are fantastic! Thank you
This is book 2 and the story does continue into book 3.
Fawn and her guys continue to fight the creatures and try to figure out what's going on so they can try and reverse the chaos. With the guys power fully restored and boosted by the shared bond, they are in the best position to get answers.
The romance between Fawn and her guys is super sweet, they adore her and want to do anything they can to help her. Fawn is still the leader of their harem, but now she can share the workload and worries, she is no longer alone. All their different powers complement each other so they work well as a team.
There is still lots of fighting and a few little twists in the story to keep you reading. Some things are definitely not as they seem.
Fawn and the guys are back, and barely have time to sit and chill in this whirlwind of crazy adventures. And not all of them great. Saving the empire and avoiding assassination attempts, while tracking down information doesn’t lend much time for calm happy times.
We learn more about the guys, and they learn more about Fawn’s past, more than what the twins glean from her diaries. She and Silas continue to butt heads over the situation with Emperor Lloyd and Lethium Empire. She doesn’t trust Matthieu and is wary about Lloyd’s reasonings, and Silas doesn’t like that she doesn’t just follow orders.
Things come to a head later in the book, and we’re left with another cliffhanger. Something I didn’t truly see coming, but also wasn’t unexpected.
This book is a lot darker than the first book but I still loved it.
The books starts out with Fawn and her guys getting the hang of their magic while getting ready for their next mission. So much action right away. Naturally all of Fawn's men are amazing with her and so devoted...Silas needs a butt whooping though!!!!!
There is also a bad guy, naturally, THEY SHOULD HAVE LISTENED!!! When Fawn says creeper alert, she means it. I mean come on, she has been alive forever, she would know lol
The ending is the worst with the triggers!!! It hurt me to read it but I could not put it down. Can't wait for book 3!!!!!! Yes, there is a cliff hanger!
This is Spellbound Favors book 2 and this book is packed full of action from beginning to end. Fawn and her mages continue to fight monsters while trying to solve who is behind all of the chaos that is causing the oncoming war. Her bond with each mage continues to strengthen and grow giving them more and more power. I really love Fawn’s growing relationships with her bonded. They are all just so sweet together. This book has tons of action and you do get a lot of answers to questions in this one. I love all the characters in this series so much and this book just keeps you turning pages until the very end. I just can’t wait to read more!!
Fawn has broken the hex but is now bonded to Jasper, Casper, Bastian, Aimon, and Silas and are immortal with her. They are still having assassins trying to kill them. The monsters are being given rage potions so they are attacking. The Revivium empire still wants to start a war, and they still can’t find the evil bone mage. Can they find the evil bone mage before the war starts ? Great characters and storyline Highly recommended Amazing book. I absolutely love Fawn and her men’s character development. Great supporting characters. There are a lot of twists and turns. This book does end on a cliffhanger, but book three is the final will be our shortly. Love this world.
Things are moving right along now! Our relationships are getting deeper and we’re getting stronger as a group too.
I think this has one of the coolest torture scenes I’ve read in quite sometime.
I’m also finally on the Silas train, although if that man doesn’t start listening to Fawn soon… we’re gonna throw hands lol
Declan and Ash are still super sus, but I’m on the fence about Lloyd. I feel like he knows something is off but I also feel like it’s possibly blinded by his soft spot? Orrrr he’s body snatched!! 😳 I don’t trust anyone besides Fawn and her guys still sooooo 😂
We’re back with a second installment of Lyra Winters newest series. And this we begin were the first book left off. The curses being broken, and now the five majors being tied to Fawn they are now searching and trying to figure out who is the big bad in the kingdoms that want to start a war. If you love guys who are completely devoted to their woman who will do anything for her then this is definitely a series you want to pick up. Even the one who is the reluctant one hast to give up in the end, right? I definitely enjoyed it and can’t wait for the final installment.
This is the second book in the series and my goodness it left you wanting more. Definitely ended with action and cannot wait for the next book. Seeing the relationship between Fawn and her 5 men grow and the love they all share for her is incredible. Seeing them always wanting to go in front of her when there is danger and put themselves in danger's way instead. One of my suspicions were right and I just hope that in the next book he gets what he deserves. Love Lyra's writing and her books they keep me captivated and wanting more.
If one thing Lyra knows how to do, it's write an amazing book with charming characters. This is the second book in the Spellbound Favors series and we pick up right where we left off in the first book.
I love Fawns character and I loved the development of her relationships with everyone.
There is action, love, and magic. It's a recipe for success.
There are a few darker elements in this book so go ahead and check your TW before diving in, which I definitely recommend if you haven't started the series yet.
Another amazing story, book two does not disappoint so hold onto your seat it's going to be a bumpy ride. Oh and the ending well bring a rope for that you'll be hanging over a cliff till book three arrives. Fawn and her bonded family now have got their work cut out for them in book two, there is: 🔪Murder 🐉 Raging Monsters 🦹Evil lurking everywhere 🤨 Mystery 💑 Friends To Lovers But have no fear Fawn and team are determined to find whoever is behind the current destruction. I have voluntarily left this review.
This books picks up where the first one left off! Something about this book gave off cozy vibes yet still action packed?? Like anytime the group is together at the cottage or just being loving it made me feel so warm and happy. But yet there was so much going on and they were always in some kind of fight/battle & when Fawn and her men are fight off monster the truly FIGHT. ugh this book was such a good one.
The way this story ends…omgggg!! i cant wait for the final book in this trilogy!!🥹🫶🏼
holy crap what was that ending. im im shock i need more, i need the third book like right now! i knew something was sketchy with Matthieu but that? no that never crossed my mind not one time🤣 my girl fawn deserves so much better she deserves love with her men and to be happy after being alone and immortal all that time its not fair😭 lyra you did it once again im so invested in this story I day dream about it and have legit dreams about the guys😏 i need the next book asap i cannot wait to read it but sheesh that ending😩😩😩
“One thing I promise you, muse, is that you will never be alone doing this again."
Book 2 starts off right where book 1 left us. Fawn and her men truly went through a battle in this book. Her men, are put through the wringer towards the end of the book. It seriously hurt my heart to read the “yikes” part of this book. Fawn is strong as she’s proven time and time again. I truly hope that book 3 gives us the answers that we are all dying for after the ending of book 2.
Oh my. Thankfully this picks up right where Cordially Hexed left off. Fawn and her mages are learning to be a cohesive unit. I love these characters. We get to see the guys’ magic a lot more now that the hex is broken. We learn more about everyone’s past and their stories. I love watching the relationships between all of them develop more, they’re all so sweet together. They’re all protective and possessive of each other, and the spicy scenes are top notch. The cliffhanger is brutal, can’t wait for book 3!!
