The Wedding Anthology - 4 stars
The Best Man - 4 stars
Always A Bridesmaid - 3.5 stars
Forever Bound - 4.25 stars

This anthology was a light (but steamy) book. Perfect for a read by the pool or anytime you need a quick, easy/sexy CR read. While there was a storyline with a plot, it was definitely not complex. These three books are parallel, telling the stories of couples in the wedding party and a few of the guests that occurred at the same time. I recommend reading all three to get the full story and some different POVs. It did have some minor editing issues but nothing too bad. An occasional missing word or wrong word.

The Best Man - I really liked the first story; Christine and Jake were very likable characters, there was a fun twist at the beginning of the story that gave the story it's direction. And of course we got a HEA ending, sorta...

Always A Bridesmaid - I wasn't so crazy about this story. The Hero was a good guy, likable but the heroine got a little annoying. I felt it was just a HEA, for now. Not really convinced.

Forever Bound - The author saved the best for last. This was the best of the three, with The Best Man a close second place. Really liked the Hero & heroine in this story. Jessica (Jess) and Ryan were the happy couple who weren't so happy. The closer to the big day, the more miserable they became. I'd say it was pretty realistic, showing what the stress of planning a wedding can do to a couple. I enjoyed the wrap-up of Jake & Christine's story, thought there should have been a wrap-up or at least a follow-up of Fiona & Kade, and the HEA for Jess & Ryan.

Overall, I give this book 3 stars. I got The Best Man because it was free and in order to continue with the story, it was cheaper to purchase the Anthology. I’ve read some really wonderful series and books by authors who charge $2.99 or $3.99 for books - and I will pay it every time. I’ll even pay a lot more if I love the author. But to me personally, this book was not worth $6.99.

THERE ARE SOME SPOILERS IN MY REVIEW - SO PLEASE STOP READING HERE IF YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN READING THEM.

THE BEST MAN - 4 Stars

This was a cute story and my favorite from this book. It’s about two long time friends, Christine and Jake, who finally acknowledging their feelings for each other. They have both been in love with the other person for years, however neither thought the other felt the same way. On a trip to the Caribbean for Jake’s sister’s wedding, the two finally connect. Christine shares with Jake her desire for a mystery lover. Jake makes it his mission to give this to Christine and help her live out her fantasies. He learns that her main fantasy is him.

ALWAYS A BRIDESMAID - 3 Stars

The only reason I am giving this book 3 stars instead of 2 is because of Kade. I really liked Kade’s character and respected his feelings about wanting more than a one night stand. I could not stand Fiona and how she not only treated Kade, but how she treated everyone. She was horrible in The Best Man and the way she teases and taunts Kade is not sexy. She’s vindictive and jealous of other people’s happiness, yet doesn’t want to take a chance on her own. Kade deserved better. Fiona’s not a character I enjoyed reading, and should have ended up with Mark - they were both a$$es. Storyline was repetitive and just boring.

FOREVER BOUND - 3 Stars

I loved Ryan and felt so sorry for him. He wanted to marry Jess because “he loved her.” He didn’t care about the whole fancy wedding Jess had planned, he just wanted Jess. The wedding gets blown out of proportion and becomes very expensive. He’s a cop who’s from a modest family, so spending loads of money on a Caribbean location for the wedding and even having it publicized becomes more than he’s comfortable with. When he tries to explain his feelings to Jess, she’s doesn’t attempt to understand his feelings. Instead she throws a teenager fit and basically storms out. Seriously! They’re fixing to get married and he tells her they should plan everything as partners and yet given the change to work things out, she leaves..... Then she makes the decision on her own to cancel the wedding. In the end, Ryan goes out of his way to save their wedding and make it special. To bad, she never apologized for her actions or seemed to really appreciate the man she has.

I really enjoyed the collection of stories all centered around the hectic few days before a wedding. A group of friends head off to a tropical resort where fantasies are fulfilled, barriers are broken down, and couples figure out what is really important (and exciting) in a relationship. "The Best Man" was probably my favorite of the three stories, followed by the story of Jess and Ryan. Fiona was not a nice character, but then again, someone had to be there to spice up the week.

What do you get when you combine a stressed out bride, a bet, and a destination wedding? Three great reads. I loved all of the couples, and how the overall story progressed between the three books.

if you are going to read this series stick to the "anthology" as its cheaper to download rather than buy the three shorts stories. Sold as an anthology but its not really.
