Meet Seantay, Seandra and Renell Beauvois . These three heiresses were raised in the lap of luxury, courtesy of their real estate tycoon father Sean and ex model mother Tameah. Worth over half a billion dollars these sisters are as different as night, day and in between. Get sucked into the whirlwind of drama that surrounds the Beauvois sisters and go through a metamorphosis. Black Butterfly is a sexy, juicy, page turner that will keep you wanting more until after the last page.
This is my first read from this author and it was a pretty good start. The Beauvois sisters were each so different from one another, and all three were full of high drama. Seantay was probably the most entertaining. The way she man hoped was a bit hilarious to me, but when she met her match it really slowed her down and made her a softer person. Seandra was just so blinded by love that I often though how could a woman be so gullible and ignore all the bad signs from this man. But she did, and she paid the price in the end. Renell was certainly the most level headed in the family. Although she had her issues, they were something many women can relate to so it made her character feel a bit more realistic than the others. Overall I enjoyed the read, and would read the sequel when it comes out to catch up with these characters.
This was my first time reading from this author and you can tell that the book is very well written because it seemed like the author took her time writing it.
The story was a very different one. It was a story about three rich sisters who are all very different but yet all go though something in the book that changes them in one way or another. You meet all three Sisters (Seantay- the youngest sister who likes to go out and have a good time, Seandra- the middle sister who will do anything for the one she loves even turn her head at certain things, and Renell- the oldest sister scared to love because of her past, but can her past effect someone elses future?)
This story was a different story line, but had its drama within the family, jealousy within the family. The ending kind of left you hanging but I would read to see what happens next since it left you hanging to see what would be next. It was an ok read at times it seemed like just something was missing maybe a little more action. i have this authors other book and i heard good things so we will see.
Black Butterfly was a very good read, once again by Nika Michelle. I found myself very intrigued with the 3 beautiful Beauvois sisters. They were all smart, beautiful and rich but yet, Renell, Seandra and Seantay were all different in personality. My favorite sister of the 3 was Renell, she was very independent, classy and the most mild of the sisters. Like most siblings that had their differences with one another but in the end they came together as one. I can't wait to read "Black Onyx" to see what drama unfolds in the second book, to see what happened to Maurice and which one of Seantay's men are out to get her.
Wow! These sisters would give the Kardashians a run for their money. Beautiful, wealthy and full of drama. The Beavouis sisters are something else. Black Butterfly centers primarily on each sisters relationship issues. One is in to bad boys, one is a workaholic and the other one is hiding a major secret. The book did get slow for me at times but it still held my interest because I needed to know what was going to happen next. These sisters will give you reasons to think they are spoiled brats one minute and have you feeling bad for them the next minute. It's a great weekend read.
This book was pretty decent. I don't think there was ever a boring part. Drama, love and more drama. The 3 sisters all had completely different personalities. Some parts (not many) kept me on the edge of my seat and just when I thought I would get the answer, it switched to another character so I had to be patient. I will read the sequel soon.
This was a good book. Took me a minute to get into it but when I did it kept a hold of me. These sisters were a trip and had a lot going on. The twist in the book was a shock. Can't wait to read the next book. Would recommend.
This was my first read from Nika and it won't be my last. The Beauvois sisters are a hand full. You have Seantay the baby who is still at home getting spoiled by her Dad, who has a secret addiction to bad boys. Then there is Seandra who has a great career in acting, but will put up with anything from a man. Lastly there is Renell the oldest who is holding onto some painful secrets. The book started off a little slow, but after the first couple of chapters it drew me in and I couldn't put it down. There was some plenty of drama, sex, and lies. The only issue I had was that there were some grammatical errors throughout, but they weren't horrible errors. Very good read and I am looking forward to the next installment.
I devoured this book!!! Nika Michelle is quickly becoming a one of my authors to watch. The characters were believable and since I live in Miami, I was able to relate to a lot of the scenery. There were a few typing errors but not enough to take away from the story. I can’t wait for part 2 I have to find out what happens!!!
Read as part of my book club monthly challenge to read a book from my TBR list that was purchased 6 months ago or more... most say I really enjoyed reading about the relationship drama and sibling issues of the Beauvois sisters. Good read, on to part 2.
I don't want to bash this book but I'll just say I was rushing to get through and on to another. It didn't hold my attention and I kept waiting for the book to pick up.
