This is the Prequel to "Submerged". Well actually it's more like the same book as "Submerged" just told from a different POV and alot shorter. It's told from Glate's POV. Glate is a teenage boy that Taylen met through-out her journey to rescue her sister. BUT you are fair warned, it is a very short story. But it is interesting to see what Glate thought when he first met Taylen and why he decided to help her.

If you read "Submerged" then this is a must read. It will give you a little more insight on how Glate felt about everything. But I suggest you read this after you read "Submerged" to fully understand what is happening in "Spark".

I did enjoy this very much. But the reason I gave it 4 stars an not 5 was because it was so short. It seemed shorter then a normal short story. But it does have the first 2 chapters to "Submerged" in this short story. So it does seem a little longer with that in there.

But Overall I enjoyed hearing Glate's feelings on everything. And I can't wait for the second book in the series to be released. "Submerged" is an amazing book.
