well written on major portions/sections of Isaiah. Isaiah is a great prophetic book with Gospel in it,the author i.e Dr Guffin clearly outlines the themes from chap1-66 into different sections. Starting with backstory × of prophecy, then the message of book- Grace of God ,his majesty,Good tidings,Comfort & assurance to Israel and world, prophecy about Christ, his serving, redemption, requisites of salvation, and ends with invitation for all world.
few lines that I liked: - Author start book by saying, Isaiah's response to God's call, ends the book with the same response a redeemed believer ought to say i.e "Here am I;send me" (is:6:8) [beautiful start & ending] -To wait on the Lord in the biblical sense is never.. irresponsible passing of time..It requires that.. knowing that his promises do not fail...for such persons his power and grace are sufficient " pg36 - radical change of conduct & transformation of thought are required. Abundant pardon is "multiply to pardon" / he will be great to pardon ..continual discovery of more and more of his gracious favor,John:10 jesus assured life more Abundantly,it comes to who hear gracious invitation and turn to the Lord for his great pardoning mercy. pg105
