It’ll take more than rope to tie down the man they love.
Country Fever, Book 3
When Christian comes out of the bar to find a bat-wielding country girl beating the hell out of his best friend Tucker’s truck, he does the only thing he can—he flirts with her. Unfortunately, he knows her pain—he’s in love with Tucker too.
Claire plans to nurse her bruised heart alone, but inevitably Tucker draws her back in—along with Christian—and the three of them tumble headlong into delirious passion. Then she and Christian wake to find that Tucker has fled his horse ranch, leaving them to care for the animals and each other.
Still grieving the death of his fiancée, pressured to sign over mining rights to a coal company, Tucker is boots-deep in emotional turmoil. Running only sharpens his longing for what he truly wants—Christian and Claire in his bed, in the barn, and under the stars.
But roping themselves firmly inside the circle of love will take everything they have—bulldogged determination, flying fists and aching hearts.
Warning: Wrangle one heartsick cowboy, and the man and woman who love him. Throw in weeks of working in close quarters, bales of pent-up lust, and feel the burn of prairie-fire-hot desire. Now just try to walk away with your heart unbranded.
This is such a great book. Tucker & Christian have been best friends forever. But Tucker has a tendency to run. And he did after he met Claire. So, Claire & Christian are left to deal with Tucker's horse ranch and the pain of Tucker running. And they become close. When Tucker gets back, what are they going to do?
Okay read, that lost credibility with the owner of the farm up and leaving and not caring about the nonsense going on at home. Picked up a bit after that but quite frankly felt he needed a good kick up the pants. The two c’s were much better.
Just what I needed to get me over my latest #bookhangover! Loved reading this triad - my only wish was that the epilogue took place a few years down the line, not just days/weeks later.
3-1/2 stars. The friends-to-lovers dynamic in this story was great, and I liked that all partners were equal. The uncle/cousin storyline was distracting and didn't feel very fleshed out. I'm wondering if it will play a part in the next book...? Each story appears to be unconnected, so far, with only a glimpse of characters from previous books. It was a quick, sexy read.
Tucker hasn't allowed himself love or happiness since the untimely death of his fiancé. His best friend, Christian, has fallen - hard. Tucker's most recent girl, Claire, has also fallen for him. We find out what happens when a man used to running from love is forced to acknowledge that he needs to move on with his life.
I freaking love Em Petrova's books. If you are looking for hot, steamy love stories, she's the author to check out.
Unbroken is a ménage love story. Christian, Tucker and Claire become entangled in each other's lives. But Tucker struggles to get beyond his past. His inability to see a future or stop running from Christian and Claire may break them all.
Em's writing is eloquent (and I know that sounds strange when you are talking about an erotic ménage love story), but she writes so beautifully. You can envision every element of the ranch. You can envision the characters and you are brought into this hot and steamy story right away!
Friendship, grieving, family betrayal... this story had a lot packed in surrounded by sizzle. I'm afraid I kept skimming all the drawn out sizzle to see what happens next. I love this author but her other series are more my style.
This is a well written story with great characters. Please remember this is a Menage story. This one can be read in one sitting. This one is worth your time. Wonderful start to this series. I can't wait to see what comes next.
I give this book a 2 1/2 star review. There were parts that were good, but it was very drawn out and I keep losing interest in the book. It was a long read.
