Awakening to Zero Point: The Collective Initiation

Rate this book
There is a process of unprecedented change unfolding within the earth. You are part of the change. Without knowledge of the artificial boundaries of religion, science, or ancient mystic traditions, the change is characterized as dramatic shifts in the physical parameters of Earth accompanied by a rapid transformation in human understanding, perception, and experience. This time is historically referred to as "The Shift of the Ages." As science witnesses events for which there are no reference points of comparison, ancient traditions say that the timetable is intact; the events of "The Shift" are happening now. Each event carries with it a similar message, and is a by-product of something much more significant than the event itself. During key moments in human history, wisdom has been offered allowing individuals to experience rapid change without fear. This is one of those moments. You are living the completion of a cycle that began nearly 200,000 years ago, and a process of initiation that was demonstrated over 2,000 years ago.

New York Times best selling author Gregg Braden is internationally renowned as a pioneer in bridging science and spirituality. Following a successful career as a Computer Geologist for Phillips Petroleum during the 1970s energy crisis, he became a Senior Computer Systems Designer for Martin Marietta Defense Systems during the last year of the Cold War. For more than 22 years, Gregg has searched high mountain villages, remote monasteries, and forgotten texts to uncover their timeless secrets. To date, his work has led to such paradigm-shattering books as The Isaiah Effect, The God Code, The Divine Matrix and his 2008 release, The Spontaneous Healing of Belief: Shattering the Paradigm of False Limits. Gregg’s work is now published in 17 languages and 27 countries and shows us beyond any reasonable doubt that the key to our future lies in the wisdom of our past.

May be considered dense material for some but it's well worth it--I highly reccomend it for anyone interested in "the shift of the ages" or "the event" predicted by Ancient prophecies--and anything by Gregg Braden, a foremost authority on this subject.

If Awakening to Zero Point: The Collective Initiation had been about self awakening rather than world awakening, I would have given this book four stars instead of two. The information included about the mystery school initiations is top notch and presented in a way that I have not read before. I also loved his explanation of sacred geometry and the Flower of Life. Here are some other bits that I resonated with:

"All answers relevant to your truth are within you; within the living intelligence that breathes as each cell of your body, pulsating life force throughout every aspect of your being. You are no longer searching for truth beyond yourself." pg 12

"It is true that each temple site had a primary deity personifying the focus of that particular temple. Depicted as monumental statues and in deep relief, both inside and outside of the walls, in most instances these figures were not intended to represent external "gods." Rather, each temple was dedicated to the isolation and focus of one component of the human psyche; one unique aspect of personality that must be balanced prior to moving into higher levels of mastery." pg 71

"Allowing yourself, and others, to experience the consequences of choice, without judgement, is one of the last, and highest levels, of life mastery." pg 74

"Various derivations of the Flower of Life have become recognized throughout the world as the "Tree of Life" and the "Seed of Life." pg 135

But, Gregg Braden isn't talking about self enlightenment as much as he is about a world awakening. He claims that the earth is resonating faster than it ever has before and that this increase in resonance will quasi-force people into changing. Therein lies my problem with this text. All change comes from within by choice. Change is not, in my opinion, caused by any outside forces, vibrations, planets, earth spinning, whatever. We may think that the cause is external, but it never is.

I don't believe that everybody on earth will ever think the same way or believe the same way. It is through our diversity that we are strong and develop new ways of being and existing. It is important to me that everyone finds the way that works for them, to listen to that internal voice that speaks so clearly when the mind is silent. Braden talks about many instances in his life where he's heard this voice himself. His world view has changed and that is why is talks about an entire world change. That's valid for him.

There's a lot in here that I didn't connect with: crop circles, the shroud of Turin, platonic solids, vibrations caused by mudras, magnetic field theory. Others might though, so I'm mentioning them here in case you're interested in researching any of those things. Braden is an expert on all of those topics.

I enjoyed Braden's later creations: The Divine Matrix: Bridging Time, Space, Miracles, and Belief or his collection of meditations, The Divine Name much more than Awakening to the Zero Point. If you're interested in this author, you may want to explore those titles.

When I picked this up, the earth shook. while everyone was running around in the Davao mall, I knew there was something inside it that would change my life. It sure did. Kudos, Mr. Bradden.
