Jonny Halberg is a Norwegian author and dramatist, now living in Moss, Jeløya. He studied at Forfatterstudiet i Bø.
He has been one of the front figures of 'dirty realism' in Norway since his debut in 1989.
Together with pål Sletaune he wrote the scripts for two Norwegian films, Budbringeren and Amatørene.
Halberg was the editor of the magazine Vagant in 1998.

I only read it because it was in the curriculum. Having read it I don't feel like visiting Romania any time soon... I expected the book to be funnier. Not my cup of tea, but I've read worse. It has received some awards, so I guess some people like it. Maybe you?
