This is the book I would have wanted to write about the Bible. Brett is deep and winsome, accessible and funny. Quite simply, beautiful. He manages to blend biblical wording and imagery with that which is totally unfamiliar, jarring - to make the story of the Bible new again. He is comprehensive in his scope of the narrative and the major themes that the Bible presents. It's like the Bible Project in book form. Read this book!
