Can their love survive?

Why does it feel like Rebecca and Callie are always swimming upstream? They move in together to start their lives and things just seem to get in the way! Another good story from Barbara!

Very good

I liked the first book and I like this one, I like it very much. I am looking forward to the next book. I like the challenges that the couple face over and over again, only to make it through together. Very good book and author.

Rebecca left an unhappy marriage to be with Callie. Callie had moved to Autumn Leaves to escape her life in New York. The two women are struggling to fuse their two lives together as we go from Autumn Leaves right into Winter Storm.

Rebecca and Callie took Dina and Maggie (Rebecca's girls) on a family vacation to New York but now Callie has to go back for work and Rebecca has chosen to go with her, leaving the kids with her ex. But Dina, the oldest, forces her way into the trip. We find out why and the drama that unfolds is frustrating and irritating as I'm a mother myself.

Not to mention that Callie's ex, Nicole, shows back up and is ready to do just about whatever she has to in order to get between Rebecca and Callie. She wants Callie back at any cost. But can Rebecca and Callie's relationship handle all the curves and bumps being thrown their way.

Rebecca and Callie's story continues immediately from "Autumn leaves". The pace is faster and the trauma of others' actions is felt more deeply in this continuation. Ms. Wilkes' background in psychology is very evident as she takes the reader into the characters doubts, concerns and convictions. A very realistic story that might have trigger elements for those who have experienced issues with exes, the church and the "ex-gay" mindset.
I look forward to reading more by this author.
