Seventeen year old Jackie, a magically gifted cheetah shapeshifter, is now the prisoner of Lord Kennet, an ancient and powerful fae lord, and her situation is dire to say the least. He wants her to bear his child, an heir to carry on his legacy. The major problem with that scenario is that Jackie has a lifemate, a man whom she loves with her whole heart and who she refuses to betray.

Garrett, her mate, is wildly searching for her along with the help of his team of vampires and shifters and two fae princes, Liam and Aedus, who are confident in their success and are looking forward to dealing with the fae traitor themselves. Bridgett, Jackie's twin, is riddled with guilt over her part in Jackie's capture and surprised by her newly discovered feelings toward William, a vampire in Garrett's nest.

The rescue converges on three fronts, as the battle for Jackie's return takes some surprising twists.

So WTH! I don't like when an author changes the POV during a series. Every chapter is now being told by 1 of 3 people. I don't like it at all and probably won't continue with this series.

I finished the book even though I didn't want to and the ending was good EXCEPT that it was changing POV all the time. I can't believe that this book had to be written like that when the first 2 aren't. This was driving me crazy that even though I LOVE the characters I can't continue since I'm worried that more of these books will have changing POV every chapter. Unless it is written like that from the get go I can't stand the change.

I kind of predicted what happen before I read it... This is a very hard book to read.. The writer name them well, I am glad it finished the way it has.

This is a good shifter book to read, the only con I have is through the three books, it changed chapter by chapter of different points of view, may be a I spoiled by other writers, but starting with the name of the person who is emoting or talking would make it easier, there were times I could tell from the first 4-5line whom was talking be it Bridgett or Jackie. Other then that it was wonderful written.

Thank you.

Hmmm, I enjoyed parts of this book a lot and some others, not so much.
Fair warning: Bridgette is extremely hard to handle at the first of this book. She does get better towards the end though

I did the audiobook and it would have been a whole lot better if they had a male reader for the male parts.
good story line and characters

This book was published in a rush by the feel of it. I found several weird sentences and missing/misplaced interpunction. Not the best of the 3 I've read so far

Great book!

This book is a well written story. The characters grow in every new book of this series. The storyline is fast paced, and action filled! This book is engaging from page one on. I am very happy to have read! Loved the audio version.

Okay so I my previous review I said that Bridgett probably would redeem herself, but in my eyes she is still a little whiney brat... In this book we have 3 pov.. That of Jackie of Bridgett and that off Garret.

I thought that Bridgett would be riddled with guilt over the kidnapping of Jackie but in this book she was not in my opinion.. For 2 seconds she felt worse for wear so to speak but the rest of her pov her chapters was about her feelings for William. I mean you sister gets kidnapped because you are stupid and feeling sorry for yourself, and what do you do ? Ohh you know just fawn over a vampire... after jackie is save, she goes on the whine about the fae, about her 'punishment'. She was lucky only one punched her and one spit.. Then she complains about the fact she has only a week left before she starts her 2 years with the fae... I mean seriously Girl grow up and be glad you aint dead.! she keeps complaining and whining and even though the team has seen improvement, I just wished she was not in the picture.. !

Sasha is really growning on me and I can't wait to hear more about him...
The next book I believe will focus a lot in Sinc and I can't help but wonder how things will go further for her and Ethan (even though they are seperated right now)... in book 1 I believe it was mentioned she was not really over the guy in her previous pack to which she was also meant to be engaged to before finding out she was a shifter.. and she will see them soon..

ANOTHER GREAT BOOK TO A FANTASTIC PARANORMAL SERIES.

I an thoroughly enjoying each book in the series. Author, Gayle Parness has created a cohesive world for all types of fantasy and paranormal creatures. This series is extremely well written and is great in the way all the different types of creatures fit together and work together. I was really surprised at the inclusion of the demon race. It will be interesting to see how that works in the next book.

The characters come alive as you get to know them and I love reading about their lives and loves. These book have a great mixture of action, adventure, mystery and romance that all lovers of the paranormal fantasy will enjoy.

I recommend that you read the books in order so you understand everything better. I don't think that you must but it will enhance your reading pleasure. One thing I am truly grateful for is the lack of erotica that so many paranormal fantasy writers are falling prey to in this genre. My imagination allows me to imagine for myself what happens when the door closes.

Don't miss this great series by Gayle Parness, you will really enjoy the experience, young and old alike.

KUDOS Ms. Parnell on another tale well told.

First of all, I now really can appreciate how "Rebirth," "Stalked," and "Twisted" work together. The first two books took time to introduce a number of new, important characters and establish some complicated dynamics. In addition, they set up one of the central conflicts. Then "Twisted" takes all of those people and pressures and amps them way up. Fabulous! Unlike the first two books in the series, this one uses three points-of-view instead of one. It's a perfect device to bring the reader in close to three distinctly different characters in three different places, all working towards the same end. Although this is definitely a book of action (and a lot of it), it is also a psychological thriller ranging from emotional trauma and psychic violation, to helplessness, depression and even to the roller-coaster of first love. Life goes on even (or especially) in the face of possible death.
What a great read! It kept me breathless, agitated, and completely engaged.

OMG, My emotions were and still all over the place!!!!! I laughed, cried, and got really pissed off.All I can say is that you live through Jackie, and your in for one hell of a ride!!! Usually in a series by book three you know where it's going to go, BUT not in this series Gayle keeps you guessing and ready for more!!!!!.... I feel that in Twisted you really get to know each of the characters personally on a one on one basis. and lets be honest you usually don't get that in a book. Gayle you are a freight Train, and you are picking up steam!!!! ( in a good way) I can not wait to get my hands on the rest of this series. YOU Gayle are amazing and I know I have said this before BUT the true meaning of an Author!!!!

A great series with a fast progression and lots of action. This novel was a bit darker than prior reads, but that wasn't a bad thing. It's fun to follow Jackie as her abilities manifest. I was frustrated with all the PoV changes-- although they were understandable in the circumstances, but the constant view point shifts were annoying at times-- not enough I'll stop reading the remainder of the series, but I'll take a break and read something else for now.

Get em' while you can!

Gayle misses nothing! I'm on book #4 and I can't put them down. These books will have you on the edge of your seat. It's full of everything you want in a series. Love, betrayal, revenge, friendship and mystical overtones that will blow you mind. Boring? Nope. Redundant? Nope. Exciting? You better believe it! Start at book #1 and be prepared to be taken on the journey of a lifetime. (I can't wait until it becomes a movie).

This book met my expectations and so much more more. It had me laughing, sitting on the edge of my seat, and at one point I even cried (I won't go in to details, don't want to spoil the plot). I am hooked, what more can I say!!

Great, but could have been better

Had a hard time reading this book, because of the torture of Jackie. It could have been written a lot better. It took away from the theme.
