With the horror of Jackie's kidnapping behind them, Jackie, Garrett and their team are in full swing, taking on cases where they feel they can do some good. When they travel to Los Altos to try to locate three missing teen boys who've gone missing from their werewolf pack, they find themselves in real danger from an unexpected magical source. As tensions rise, an attack seems imminent.
In the midst of this chaos, Garrett is forced to deal with a rebellious master vampire, while Jackie is asked to use her healing powers to save a young lion shifter who's resorted to violence rather than accepting the fact that he's not human after all.
However, these situations are nothing compared to the personal crisis they have to face which could destroy their relationship and start a war with Faerie.

This is a well written and edited book. This series is endlessly entertaining! I have truly enjoyed every minute I have invested in this authors wonderful world! As each book comes we are introduced to new characters, the storyline advances and we are further drawn In! I highly recommend this book, this series!
Tragedy turns into a blessing! This series just keeps getting better! I couldn't stop listening to this book! Jackie and Garrett face so many challenges in their journey to protect the innocent! Must read and listen!!!
Talk about a twist! Never thought this book would go there but it’s a good twist that definitely got me back on my toes and listening with a renewed interest!
"Blown Away" is a perfect follow-up to the wild and stressful (though crazy fun) ride in "Twisted." At first it seems as though characters are settling into their roles and their relationships. Love and work (defending the natural as well as the supernatural worlds) are both deeply rewarding as well as exciting. But, as always, there are twists and turns that threaten even the strongest of bonds. As with all relationships, there are secrets and painful pasts that eventually must come to the surface. And, as a partner in those relationships, the reader gets the chance here to learn much more about some of the major characters, and the stories they have to tell are as surprising as they are moving. One of the other things I love about these books is the care Parness takes with her world-building. Though the Werewolves have been my least favorite society/group (so far), I was fascinated here by their culture and how differently one pack operated from another. And we also get to learn more about Faerie in terms of their attitude towards children and mating. I admit, I love this kind of thing! And though we've only gotten to see a little of the Demon society, I'm looking forward to learning more. Another great ride (and compelling read)!
I don't know how Author, Gayle Parness, keeps coming up with these story lines but she is doing a masterful job of surprising me in each book of this series. The writing style is easy to read and well edited. It is a pleasure to immerse yourself into the story and read along for the ride.
I, again, recommend this series to paranormal/fantasy lovers of all ages, well except for younger children. You can read my prior reviews to learn more about what I think or you can read the series and enjoy it as much as I am!
I couldn't quite read the last book in the series because I didn't really care to read Jackie being tortured and raped. But this book was good except for that storyline not really ending. But ignoring that, the book held my interest and I liked the new characters.
What can i say, i love this series, it keeps getting better and better. The twists the turns AMAZING. I thought with it being such a big series that the excitement would dull down, boy was i wrong, I couldn't put this down and was up very late into the night reading. I even had a book hangover in the morning. LOL if you haven't read this series start with the first book. i guarantee you will keep one clicking and reading. I did a book list of 2014 best books and Gayle was #1 for this series.
The problem is Jackie's rape and her been pregnant. The author could have written it without her getting pregnant and still have a great book. It nearly made me stop reading and erase all the books. I was very unhappy with the rape and pregnancy.
