I have read quite a few Joyce Meyer books and I highly recommend "The Pathway to Success"!

"What God considers success is not always what the world considers success." - from the Introduction.

Joyce uses inspirational quotes, bible verses and personal stories in her text. She talks about how failure is part of success. Chapter Two is all about Success God's Way. Chapter Three explores the ten good things God's Word says about you. Chapter Four is all about keeping God first. Joyce Meyer encourages her reader to seek God as much in good times as in hard times.

"We realize that the source of our success is not in ourselves but in God. Other people notice this too" (pg. 50).

Chapter Five talks about how our thoughts and words affect our success. Chapter Six is about establishing priorities - taking care of your family and yourself. Joyce Meyer reminds her reader to stay faithful and patient as well as discusses the necessity of discipline and self-control. The author also states that the better we treat people, the more successful we will be.

"Don't become discouraged if your dream takes longer to come true than you think it should" (pg. 23).

Chapter Ten is all about Excellence and Integrity, sharing ways to practice both. Chapter Eleven reveals the twelve rules for success (remain peaceful at all times, stay focused, be patient, develop a strong work ethic, be good to people... to name a few!)

"You can do amazing things - seemingly impossible things - with God on your side" (pg. 28).

I enjoyed reading this. It has good stuff in it. Although I will say, definitely reminds me of my grandmother. A side of judgement and sass. But well meaning.

I would like to thank the publisher, FaithWords, and netgalley for the opportunity to read Joyce Meyer’s new book “The Pathways to Success”.

Joyce Meyer is one of my favorite Christian authors. I always find her books inspiring, insightful, spirit led, Bible based and heart touching. Pathways to Success was no different.

Pathways to Success guides you on a journey to what God’s view of success looks like with scripture to back her thoughts. It also gives comparisons to how the world views success vs. how God views success. My oh my, how they differ.

This reading opportunity came to me at the absolute perfect time… dare we say, divine timing? During the past two years, I have opened a bakery called “best Ashe (our last name) bakery”. It has been a blessing in our lives, but often during the past two years have I grappled with what success means to me and how to attain it & retain it while staying true to my values. This book was extremely helpful in seeing that pathway illuminated by biblical teachings and Joyce’s words written specifically about biblical success.

There is a list towards the conclusion of the book that I found helpful as a reference point for future reminders.

I would recommend this book to any of my friends interested in a biblical perspective of success, business friends, or anyone looking to live a more successful life.

Well done, Joyce! ❤️

Mama Joyce always knows how to deliver the wisdom nuggets needed. In the same way she preaches, she approaches this book with practicality and little fluff. She gets right to the point. What is success? Bottom line: “Success is doing whatever we do for God and doing it in a way that pleases and brings glory to Him.”
So it’s different for everyone of us. She walks through finding out what God has called you to do (“God won’t call you to something you hate.”) then walks through what will help us do what God calls us to in a successful manner. Our thoughts, our self-image, our faithfulness, our self-discipline, our excellence and our integrity.

"God wants you to succeed in everything He calls and equips you to do, and my prayer is that this book will guide you down the pathway to true godly success." (p.11)

Joyce Meyer has fulfilled her statement above, and then some. The gems are plentiful. There are nuggets of wisdom written in each chapter. I have highlighted sentences, phrases and paragraphs. Each time I read the chapters again, I discover a new meaning to what Meyer's has stated.

In Chapter One, Meyer's asks, "What is in your heart?" She writes, "God gives us desires, and He frequently speaks to us through them. God won’t call you to do something you hate, . . ." (p.14) But how do I know if what I desire is truly what God wants for me? "First, it should agree with God’s Word. It should be something you have a desire to do, will enjoy doing, and believe God has anointed you—or given you the ability— to do. God’s anointing is His presence and power." (p.19) But am I to base my success on my thoughts and emotions? "Our thoughts are changeable and unreliable when they are simply based on what we feel. . .. Don’t ask yourself what you think. Instead, focus your mind on God for a while, pray and ask Him to show you what is in your heart. This will help you find the right thing to do." (pp.20-21) This is just the first chapter's silver nuggets.

My favorite chapter is Eight: The Necessity of Discipline and Self-Control. In this chapter, we find out "Self-control is the ability to say no to yourself, no matter how much you want to do something, if you know it is the wrong thing to do." (p134) Saying no to myself is a difficult task. Wanting instant gratification is natural in today's society. Realizing that no is part of life is wisdom. In chapter eight, Meyer's tells me that the first lesson learned from the ten virgins (Matthew 25:1–10) is that procrastination is a no-no. I like where she quotes by an unknown author, "Someday is not a day of the week.” (p. 135) The second lesson is that people in certain situations don't do what they should, such as the five virgins who didn't bring extra oil for their lamps. Lesson number three is "that success does not happen because we wish for it. Wanting it is not enough. . .. Many people wish for success, but we can’t wish our way to achieving it. Success comes because we discipline ourselves to prepare for it and work for it." (p.137-138) To discipline myself and exercise self-control prepares me to succeed in my life and to glorify God.

"God has given us a spirit of discipline and self-control to help us succeed in every aspect of life, and we can choose to use it or not (2 Timothy 1:7). What lies in our power to do also lies in our power to not do. Power must be harnessed and directed to do any good." (p.144)

There is also the need for balance. Concentrating on work all the time will produce burnout. We need rest. The rest that only God can give. We need also to remember that we are saved by grace through faith; not by works we perform. "Salvation is a gift that opens the door to all the other blessings of God, but they come with conditions, such as obedience to God, hard work, loving others, prayer, faithfulness, diligence, forgiving those who have hurt you, and others. To use a metaphor, Jesus has opened the prison doors of living in bondage to sin, but we have to walk out of the prison." (p.145)

This book is rich in helpful advice, based on the author's life experiences, both personal and professional. Joyce Meyer ties her advice to Bible scriptures. I took the time in my reading to check each scripture reading as I read and found that the Bible verses matched up with her writings. I'm greatly blessed from the reading of The Pathway to Success. I recommend it to others who may be searching for the answers to God's direction for their lives and who desire to know what God means by success.

I would like to thank Katie Norris at FaithWords for the pdf. version of The Pathway to Success by Joyce Meyer. This gift did not influence my thoughts or opinions written within my review. The page numbers correspond to the pdf. version.

What determines a successful, well-lived life? Is it motherhood? Fatherhood? Your career, business, job? Is it fame and wealth? Is it affluence? Joyce beautifully outlines success in her new book "The Pathway to Success."
Heart. Success. Self-image. Keeping God First. Thoughts and Words. Priorities. Faithfulness. Discipline and Self Control. Easy? Excellence and Integrity. Twelve Rules for Success.
She delves into each one of these topics as only Joyce can. She uses scripture, life-application, and personal testimony to show the reader that we find our value in our relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
Another Meyer book to add to your collection.
Highly recommended for the Christ-follower who wants to be all God has planned for you and be successful at it.

Joyce Meyer had done it again with this book! This was a great book to read on our personal pathway to success. She talks about never giving up, keeping god first in all we do, and the power of our words and actions, alongside her own personal battles and journey of achieving the ministry she has today.

This book was exactly what I needed in this season of my life. I recently quit my job to be a stay at home mom and in that transition I have been struggling with the idea of being successful. The world gives us a distorted view of success which is was leading me to feel like I wasn’t enough or doing enough. This book teaches us what success looks like through the lens of how Jesus sees us. Joyce Meyer gives us real life examples of how we can be successful God’s way.

There is just not enough words to express how great The Pathway to Success is. I was blessed enough to be given a copy from NetGalley and oh my gosh it was just what I needed. This is my first Joyce Meyer book to read and I was not disappointed but raptured in her every word. She guides you on what success is to God. She not only uses Bible Versus to back it up but she also uses her own experiences.

The Pathway to Success is written in a way for everyone to understand and implement. It is easy to follow along. I took so many notes and cannot wait for the hardback to come out. I plan on giving it to my nieces and nephews so they can travel along their journey knowing that God wants success for them, you only have to listen to his word, do right by Him and live your life the way God wants you to. It will be hard work, but if you keep God at the forefront, knowing there will be ups and downs, your success will be well worth it. Just follow God's lead and create your Pathway to Success.

Wonderful book Joyce Meyers!

In The Pathway to Success, Joyce Meyer explored the real meaning of being successful and understanding what God considers success. The world thinks we are successful if we have a good career, become famous, being wealthy, and receiving recognition. Scriptures explain that we are to be in the world but not of the world. A number of people we view as successful really are struggling with addictions behind the scenes and have poor relationships. Joyce teaches readers that our identity isn’t found in what we do. It is instead found in whose we are. Our true value is in our relationship with Christ. She walks readers through how we must first discover what’s in our hearts and what our purpose is. In the book, she opened up about her journey to her ministry. She included her story about her abuse, first marriage, divorce, marrying Dave, and growing her ministry through the different stages.

My favorite chapter was about words and how our thought affect our success. It first begins in our thoughts and then they will produce the words that will come out of our mouths. It has been estimated that the average person has 6,000 thoughts a day and often it is mixed with both positive and negative thoughts. We get to choose which we think about on a daily basis. She explained how critical it is to be extremely careful in how we talk about things and the danger in not allowing them to match up in our prayer life. We must pray and believe that good things will happen. We can see ourselves as successful and believe it. She teaches readers on how to rely on our faith and to speak words that will exercise faith and not allowing fear to control us. I also liked how she enclosed a special section about people who have succeeded and tips on how others have been able to do so. One of the ways is turning failure into a fresh start.

I would recommend this life changing book to anyone who ready to get on the path to success. In immensely loved the core message of this book and how God sees our success and what He views as being successful. I loved how she explained the importance of putting God first in our lives and how this will impact and change our entire lives. Another impactful lesson is the section on ten things God’s word says about us. These are very powerful scriptures to let get down into our spirit and let it change us. This book contains a vast knowledge of what is means to be successful.

4.5/5⭐️! Thank you NetGalley and Faithwood for this early eARC of The Pathway to Success by Joyce Meyers.

This would be my first book by Joyce Meyers and it did not disappoint. After reading this, it made me go down my own memory lane and think of the experiences I’ve endured to get to where I am today. And it honestly really is amazing and struggles I’ve dealt with to get to where I am. The 12 ways to success is a good list to start following. I followed God until I sent to college and lost my way for about 2-3 years. How am I alive today still amazes me. When I became ready, I did find my way back and I can relate most during that stage is chapter 6 with Establishing Priorities. When I found my way back to Him, I faced my issues and fears straight on - I had to take care of myself for once and relearn who I was and what I wanted. I struggled alot during this period…and He never left my side. I did find my own therapist to help steer me along the way and to keep me on the path. That woman has been nothing but amazing and helping me understand my worth and what God wants for me.

This is a really great refresher of what I’ve learned and have gone through. I lost my third son at 21 weeks, and as much as it hurts I know that I will be okay. I attended group supports and met other families who had this common tragic. I went through periods of hating God and saying how it was unfair and why me- and I know that’s ok because I am only human and I am allowed to feel the feelings at that moment of grief. Anyways, with enough time and therapy sessions I am in such a better place. I have my son in Heaven waiting for me and he’s perfect and no longer in pain. I can focus on my living children and make sure that they are taken care of.

I have a lot more great things to say about this book and how your support group/tribe help you too. I couldn’t be where I am without them, my husband, and God. Things do happen for a reason and it’s not just coincidental moments in my life (there’s just no way it can be that).

This book is more than I honestly expected. It was fantastic and left me motivated and positive when finished.

More Than You Ever Dreamed!

If you want success in your life, begin by asking God for help, keep Him first, and have faith the Lord will lead you the right way. Try out the desires of your heart like you would try on clothes. You may have to try different ones to find the one that fits.

Do not settle for something safe instead of what is truly in your heart. Dream big, and have a good self-image, remembering, "you are fearfully and wonderfully made," Psalm 139:14. If you step out in faith, God can do things you never thought could happen.

There may be setbacks, and discouragement, but don't quit trying.

Include God all along the way, in the words of Jesus, "apart from me, you can do nothing," John 15:5. Talk to Him every day, read the Bible.

There is more information about each of these points in the book. But for success, follow these things:

Keep God first.
Have a goal or a dream that is clear in your heart.
Love yourself in a balanced way.
Strive to be the kind of person God wants you to be, before you try to be anything else.
Remain peaceful at all times.
Stay focused.
Be patient.
Speak and think what you want, not what you have.
Develop a strong work ethic.
Be good to people.
Take time to enjoy your life.
Never give up

Especially remember these "nevers":

Never give up on your health. You can be healthy and feel great.
Never give up on those you love. God can change them.
Never give up on your finances. You can be debt free.
Never give up on your dreams. You can see them become a reality.
Never give up on yourself. You can overcome anything.

If you would like to change your life, I highly recommend this book. The author gives lots of examples from her own life, and more good advice. The biggest key to success is to keep God first. Get this five-star book.

Thank you, FaithWords Hachette, for providing Tickmenot with a book to review. Opinions are my own.

The Pathway to Success written by Joyce Meyer is a book not to miss. Joyce Meyer is a best- selling author, who has written 100 + books and is one of the most influential woman in the ministry.
Her strong devotion to Christ has led her traveling the world, writting books and creating a world-wide ministry.

The Pathway to Success by Joyce Meyer is her newest release. This book is perfect for anyone, especially those who are looking to gain success in ministry, business, personal life and grow their walk with Christ.

Meyer lays out 12 rules for success throughout the chapters, while sharing her personal story of failure and success. Two chapters that were impactful to my life and thoughts on success were “Success God’s Way” and “Your thoughts and Words affect your success.” Meyer sprinkles questions in the chapters that challenge your thoughts and your actions. One question that I found to be really convicting in Success God’s Way was “Ask yourself, “Am I driven or am I led?” This question was really convicting as I began to reconzie that there have been periods of my life that I have been driven by success, more than being led by the Holy Spirit. This chapter was super convicting and reminded my heart that success God’s way is through rest, not self worth or effort.

The chapter titled “Your Thoughts and Words affect your success” is so extremely vital to success. Meyer says, “our thoughts are the seeds of what we want to see happen in the future.” This chapter was a great reminder that our thoughts and words shape every kind of success we have in life. Meyer says that great leaders don’t speak negatively about what they believe and the success, they want to achieve.

Overall, I found The Pathway to Success to have really solid principles, with easy chapters to read. This book can read like a daily devotional if you want to read a chapter per day, for 11 days. It is a great book that has solid principles and will help any individual find success in their personal life, ministry, business, ect.

TLDR — Simple but Profound

The title of this book intrigued me, because how many of us are looking for a way to achieve success, but feel the world’s gotten a lot more skeevy recently so you just don’t know who/what you can trust? I mean, there are self-proclaimed business geniuses offering their secret ingredient for a limited-time-low-price-if-you-just-click-now overwhelming you with ads every time you log in to see pics of your friends/family. And, they all seem super scammy…. Especially the ones saying that YOU TOO can sell classes to others on how to be a success - are you kidding me?! What is going on?!

SO, all that rambling to say, the title intrigued me… so I decided to read it…

I was not disappointed. There was some info you could find in any book on success. But, there was also so much wisdom based on Biblical principles. (Let me add in here, I think you could still enjoy this book even if the Bible is not your thing. It is mostly just good info, but with added Biblical support. So, I wouldn’t be scared away.)

I like that the book was written in an easy-to-read, conversational style, yet still had some extremely good points/information. And, it approached everything from the standpoint of integrity (no schemes in this book) and encourages a successful whole-life, not just business success.

If I could only give you one quick description of this book it would be:

Simple but Profound

This was the first book I’ve read by Joyce Meyer, but I’ll be adding some more to my TBR.

💭 Success in Gods eyes is faithfulness to His calling.

💭 Real success, Gods way, involves blessing and being good to other people.

💭 We need to celebrate each little bit of progress we make instead of grumbling about how far we still have to go.

💭 I believe the success of everything in life depends on our relationship with God. Learn to see yourself how God sees you. Success is impossible if you have a poor self-image.

💭 Be sure you are surrounded by people who model what you hope to become. Page 159

💭 Enjoy where you are on the way to where you are going. Don’t focus so intensely on getting to your destination that you don’t take time to enjoy your journey.

💭 You must be able to manage yourself before you can manage others.

💭 Our end goal in life should always be love. 💗

💭 Excellence in communication is vital for anyone who wants to help a success.

💭 God promoted people who live with integrity.

💭 Fast and fragile, slow and solid. Patience is not the ability to wait; it is staying faithful and emotionally stable while we wait.

💭 Don’t compare yourself with anyone else. Just be the best “you” can be, and do it for Gods’s glory. Thats the pathway to true success.

💭 Each failure is a stepping stone. The only way you can fail is to give up! The devil loves quitters. Don’t ever give him the satisfaction of seeing you give up. If you just keep moving forward, you will succeed.

I learned that no matter how much I worked, there would always be more to do, and that taking breaks to do things I enjoyed made me more creative when I went back to work.

Don’t compare yourself with anyone else. Don’t to be someone else, and don’t judge others for not being like you are. Some people work quickly, while others work slowly.

Give financially, your time, and even a smile can make someone’s day.

Anything worth having is worth working for.

How we treat people is very important to our success.

Focus more on showing love to people and less on getting what you want.

Don’t tell someone you will pray for them and not do it.

Use your success to be a blessing to others.

Excellence is not perfection; it is simply doing the best you can with what you have.

Page 146. What about the person who demands the right to post pornography on the internet, and it ruins countless marriages or corrupts the minds of young people? Those who post it may claim that posting explicit content is their right to free speech, but would someone who walks in true love do something like that?

We cannot love people if we are always in a hurry. Love is the number one call of Gos on our lives as believers.

I tell people who struggle with jealousy of others not to ever be jealous or what someone else has unless they are willing to do what that person did to get it.

In addition to getting enough rest, also take time to do things you enjoy to avoid burnout.

If two or three spiritually mature people tell you the same thing, it is wise to listen.

If we do well with the seemingly small things, the next thing will be bigger. You must be prepared before you can be promoted.

Part of being faithful is being patient.

- We find our value in our relationship with God through Christ.

- I’ve discovered that you know you are on the pathway to success if you would do your job without being paid for it.

No good relationship stays good by accident!!

Taking care of yourself when you are young pays off when you are older.

The bottom line is that no one is perfect at everything, and if you try to be great at everything, you will likely end up being good at nothing. The Holy Spirit will help you prioritize your life if you will listen.

Every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end.

“I believe that God often hides things from us until the time is just right for Him to reveal them.”

Caring too much about what people think of you is a big mistake. If what people think of you is a priority for you, it shouldn’t be. When we start marking our decisions based on what we think other people want us to do, we are on a slippery slope that will not lead us to a good place. “It wasn’t until I was about fifty years old that I finally removed the worry about other people’s opinions from my priority list.

People try to use money, possessions, position and worldly power to give them worth and value only God can give. 🫨

Psalm 1:1 says we are not to take counsel from the ungodly.

🫨 Some people are encouragers, some are helpers, some are organizers, and some do a host of other things that don’t fit into the world’s standard of success. So don’t think you are doing something unimportant just because the world would not consider it great.

To be successful, we need to lean on God at all times, for all things. If we are insecure and lack confidence, we project an image of timidity and weakness, and the people we are trying to be in a relationship with will feel the same way about us as we feel about ourselves.

We fail our way to success 🫨

Put Him first at all times, and you will succeed beyond anything you can imagine.

Anything can become an idol if it becomes more important in your life than God.

You can choose your own thoughts.

The problem is not how God sees you but how you see yourself.

Am I driven or am I led? 🫨🫨🫨

You will not be a success without confidence and a good self image. 🫨🫨🫨

I am convinced that if you never give up, you will eventually end up at the perfect place for you. I have often said that I believe my greatest gift is the refusal to give up!

Some of our worst mistakes teach us the greatest lessons of our lives. Once we’ve made them, we simply end to learn from them, let them go, and keep working with God to follow what is in our hearts. That’s how we discover the right path to our God-given destiny.

Resting in God means I depend on Him to give me favor with the people I stand in front of instead of feeling that I must impress them. I study diligently but depend on God to make my sermons fruitful. I don’t depend on myself.

We can celebrate and enjoy our progress instead of being angry with ourselves because of our imperfections.

Where our minds go, we follow. So if you want success, think thoughts of success. If you think successful thoughts, you will speak successful words, and this will build a successful image in your heart.

Success Leaves Traces

One of the most successful Christian authors is Joyce Meyer who has written over 140 books. In THE PATHWAY TO SUCCESS, Meyer has written an engaging book which points readers to the spiritual elements of success with a combination of stories, Bible quotations and her personal experiences. As she writes in the introduction, “God wants you to succeed in everything He calls and equips you to do, and my prayer is that this book will guide you down the pathway to true godly success.” (page xi)

The final chapter includes a summary of the book and 12 rules for success. Never give up is one of those rules. Meyer says, “One key to success is to never give up. God has a new and wonderful life waiting for you, a life filled with success. All you need to do is believe this and then begin to apply the principles you learn in this book and others, including the Bible. Do you believe you can succeed with God’s help? If you believe, it can happen. But if you don’t believe it, it won’t.” (Page 51)

I enjoyed reading THE PATHWAY TO SUCCESS and highly recommend this book.

In Joyce Meyer’s new book, “The Pathway to Success,” she reveals the vast difference in how the world views success and how God does. Through personal stories and verses of Scripture, she uncovers how people see someone as successful if they’ve gained fame or fortune, but success in God’s eyes is much deeper than that—our heart, our purpose, our faith.

One of the keyways to success is to keep God first. When we focus our hearts on Him, we are following our true path, and when we are steadfast and genuine, our success grows.

I love books that are inspiring, motivating, and aligned with God’s word, and this one fits the bill. Even if you don’t normally read non-fiction books, I recommend this one. It has the potential to not only change how you view success, but how you grow in it. We can be confident that God has a purpose for us, and He equips us on our pathway to success.

First Lines: On the pathway to success, the first questions I want to ask you are: What is in your heart? What do you want to do with your life?

We want to be successful but God's idea of success is not the same as the world's. Meyer helps us understand what it means to be successful in God's eyes, basing her teaching on the Bible. The Bible not only tells us what success is but also the pathway to that success. That pathway is more about character and integrity than about accomplishments.

“Put [God] first at all times, and you will succeed beyond anything you can imagine,” Meyer writes. (58) She helps us understand the importance of our words and thoughts. She encourages us to determine our priorities according to biblical principles and reminds us the necessity of discipline and self-control. Loving others is the number one call on our lives, Meyer writes. Loving others is the most important thing we do. (128)

Meyer shares her own journey to ministry success. She reminds us traveling along the pathway to success will be a long journey. Excellence along the way is a necessity. I highly recommend this book to those desiring to know what success is in God's eyes and how to be on the pathway toward it.

The Pathway to Success is a book for the perfect time. What we think of as success and what God things tends to be different things. This book is so easy to read, and you will find a lot of good nuggets that you will hold on to for a very long time. Joyce has a way of just saying what needs to be said whether you want to hear it or not. We might think that God is not about success but to the contrary, He wants us to be successful in all areas of our lives. We just need to surrender to him and trust that He’s working things out for our good so he can lead us on our Pathway to Success. A lot of us think about success and tie our identities to the definition we craft. However, we need to understand God’s definition and not get caught up in this world and its unattainable definition. One of my biggest issues is my thought process and I have to be very intentional to think positively and dismiss the negative thoughts the enemy plants in my mind. Our thoughts affect how to behave, the decisions we make and ultimately our success. I’ve read quite a few of Joyce Meyer’s books and so I highly recommend this one. Be prepared to think differently.

"The Pathway to Success" by Joyce Meyer is a guide that encourages a redefinition of success from a spiritual perspective, contrasting sharply with worldly measures such as wealth, fame, or power. Meyer argues that true, lasting success comes from aligning one's life with God's vision and purpose, rather than chasing after conventional markers of success that often lead to dissatisfaction and emptiness.

You can always count on Joyce to back up anything she says with scripture. For example, Matthew 27: 4. We need a firm foundation in faith before we build anything. It emphasizes that while the world often equates success with material achievements, the divine definition involves fulfillment, purpose, and joy that are rooted in spiritual growth and alignment with God’s will.

True joy comes from aligning ourselves with God's plan for our lives and serving other people with our unique gifts. Reading this book will help you do just that.

Path to Success can be used like a success blueprint to help you find your way. You won't be sorry! I'm a big Joyce Meyers fan. She never disappoints, and always over delivers!

I picked up this book as I have been trying to add more Christian books to my reading while I navigate my closer relationship with God. I have watched a few sermons from Joyce Meyers Ministries when I was younger and when I saw her name on the book I just had to pick it up. I think overall the book was well meaning and gave me some great scriptural basis for a pathway to success God's way. However I did feel that in parts of the book, Joyce places some unrealistic or irrelevant examples of how we could reach that success in our daily experiences that might have been slightly biased. While I appreciate the perspectives she has to offer as a woman close to God and as someone who has dutifully served him, some of the examples she gave like not taking office supplies from work for personal use, or giving examples of what types of qualities she doesn't have in her friends, seemed a bit discouraging and or unhelpful to someone who may just be beginning their relationship with God; and or they weren't great examples to the message she was trying to convey.

I found The Pathway to Success by Joyce Meyer very helpful. In this book Joyce points out how different the worlds idea of success is than God's way.

Have you found your joy to be temporary or circumstantial? Do you tend to follow your emotions more than your heart? Are you afraid of failure or taking risks? Do you tend to give up before seeing a breakthrough? Do you lack confidence or try to accomplish things through your own strength? Do you forget to, or avoid, involving God in your day-to-day activities or future plans?

I highly recommend reading this book if you answered yes to any of these questions. Joyce shares some very important steps to accomplishing true success, including 12 rules for success. This book can also serve as a great reminder and motivator to you if you may already be aware of many of these steps but find yourself skipping any.

Thank you to Mama Joyce and the publisher, FaithWords, for the opportunity to read and review this book!

Amidst a period of transition in my life, this book became a guiding light. Having recently made a significant change, I found myself questioning the conventional notions of success. But Joyce Meyer's 'The Pathway to Success' provided a refreshing perspective, rooted in the way Jesus perceives us. Meyer's relatable anecdotes and profound insights shed light on God's true definition of success. It arrived as a timely gift, offering exactly the encouragement I needed. Meyer's wisdom, grounded in scripture and personal experiences, is accessible to all. I eagerly await its hardback release so I can share it with others, empowering them to navigate their own journey to success guided by God's wisdom. With faith as our compass, success is not just a dream but a reality waiting to be embraced. Joyce Meyer's book is truly a treasure!

"The Pathway to Success" by Joyce Meyer caught my attention because I greatly admire Meyer and have enjoyed several of her previous books. This latest work lives up to my high expectations. Meyer emphasizes that true success is achieved by fully relying on God, and she complements this message with chapters full of practical advice and actionable ideas. Throughout the book, she explores key concepts such as keeping God first, maintaining peace, and staying focused.

While the book may not present entirely new concepts, it offers excellent inspiring and motivational reminders. I found myself highlighting numerous passages for future reference. For those seeking guidance on achieving success from a godly perspective, "The Pathway to Success" is highly recommended.

The Pathway to Success by Joyce Meyer is the first book I've read by her. Each chapter dives a little in to her story, how she started, the obstacles along the way, but also how God showed her and directed her forward to where she is today. She weaves in great advice along with scripture to show you not only the path she has walked, but her successes, and honest failures as well, along the way. Not only does she give great advice for success, but she also includes "nevers", or things not to do, that will derail you from achieving success. All in all, an easy read that points us after God. Well done!

I have been reading Joyce Meyer books for close to 30 years now and I always get wisdom nuggets implanted into my spirit. I appreciate the way that Joyce doesn’t shy away from being vulnerable and authentic. It is her vulnerability that attracts me - to know in my heart that she struggles too and works alongside God to be an overcomer — this motivates me to not give up and do the same. I also appreciate that she provides practical things that we can do to apply Gods word to our lives. Some of the things I read were things I already know and already do - however they were also a good reminder to continue to do them and not give up or give in. Grateful for these reminders.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for this advanced copy. All opinions are truly my own.
