I would give this book 4 stars, but I did not, and why? Because the author had totally forgotten about the dog. In the story mom and daughter bought a free puppie, named it Baci, and half way trough the book the author forgot the dog completely.
Mother and daughter went away at the end of the book, and nobody ever said something about Baci. I 'm so annoyed by this. That's why I give this book only 3 stars.
Page 185 was the last I read about Baci.
It is btw very dumb to write a story, were you buy a free puppie on the streets, and forget mostly to tell about the dog. The mother & daughter go away long days, and leave the puppie in the house alone? Seriously?
I read this book when I was much younger and it always stuck with me in memory. I found myself thinking about it the other day and thought I would look it up and see how I felt about it now. It's still worth a read, though it's not really a genre I can so much for anymore.
Picked this ebook up from BN when it was the special of the day. Interesting concept regarding life after death and meeting in the "in between" - but some of the book is predictable. I did enjoy reading it however, and would recommend it to those interested in LAD experiences in fiction.
I sampled this book first; the sample was promising. unfortunately, the rest of the book was poorly written with typos, bad dialogue, and too much telling and not enough showing. interesting concept; i wish it was executed better.
This child has an intelligence beyond all child capacity. Such a thrilling and good read. Having the child's point-of-view throughout made this a unique read.
