Rarely does a book ever speak to me in a manner that makes me want to take action. I'm an avid reader but I enjoy fiction more so than non-fiction. However, Alyssa Avant managed to prove me wrong in that respect. Her book, FaithLeaps, touched me and opened my eyes. Everything she talked about was exactly what I needed to "hear" when I was reading her book.
She provides insight to help you in achieve what you are passionate about and what your goals are. She is clear in her direction to you and shares her real world experiences as well. I love how she also used other real moms' experiences to help drive her message forward.
The message that stuck with me most is that through God all things are possible. This, I've always believed and continue to believe it. It's just wonderful to read someone else attesting to this. Put your trust and faith in Him and everything will be just right.
FaithLeaps is short, simple, and to the point. Her personal style and practical ideas fit my ability to read a few pages at a time and take a few notes in between the business of our household. There have been a few things about blogging I haven’t been able to wrap my head around, like niches and platforms. So many things just don’t seem real on the internet. Alyssa has made it more real for me and explained some things in a way that I’m excited to be able to put into effect now. She is also very encouraging. Between well placed Scripture and tidbits of wisdom from some of her mentors and peers, I feel like I’m ready to take that Faith Leap with confidence. I encourage every woman with a blog to read this book. There are things about blogging and God’s purpose for you in the blogging world you just might find challenging and surprising. Take a Leap of Faith yourself!
Quick ebook I got in a bundle pack. This book is ideal for a Christian mom looking to feel motivated to set up her own at home business of some kind. There were nuggets of good insight, but also things that I would think would be fairly common sense. Couple links did not work that were in the resources. Though I would suspect you could find most of her insight for free at her website/blog.
This is a great book for motivation to any mom who is stepping out into the world of at home businesses- writing a book - or blogging for profit. Avant does an amazing job of sharing her leap of faith, and some of the practical steps she took in those first moments of a new journey with God.
