Claire Reynolds had it all, until her ex-husband embezzled her fortune and left her in ruin. Determined to build back her wealth and protect others from her hardship, she starts a fidelity service for rich women to test their soon-to-be husbands. It pays well and helps Claire keep men where they belong – at arm’s length.

But when Claire's friend asks her to seduce her fiancé she’s not so inclined to mix business with pleasure. Sure, he’s attractive but Claire is relieved when he seems to be disinterested and leaves her in the company of a handsome stranger named Liam. She enjoys the challenge he presents and the sex is outrageous…until she finds out who he really is.

Allowing herself to love and be loved is more than Claire is ready for, but every time she pushes Liam away he pulls her right back in.

Witty and erotic, Push & Pull will seduce your mind and leave you panting for more.

It's been a while since I read a true erotica book, and although it's a short novelette, Push & Pull by Maya Tayler hit it out of the ball park! At only 10,000 words, Maya Tayler has managed to tell a story filled with plot, lust, steam, and characters with whom you can easily connect. You're probably wondering why 4.5 stars for such a short novelette? Because it's THAT good! Like I said, Maya Tayler told me a story in just a few words.

Claire, the heroine, has been burned by a con artist in the past, losing all her money while suffering from a broken heart as a result of her love (a.k.a. con-man) leaving her. What does she do? She rebuilds her life and sets out to ensure that other women won't suffer the same fate as she. She starts her own business. Claire is a hooker....not in the sense of a prostitute, but in the sense of flirting and using a man as a test of his faithfulness, hooking him, and reeling him in for the kill. She gets paid a nice chunk of change by women to pick up their men as a test of fidelity.
Women of my stature were married to their careers, working long hours and chasing their dreams. I was chasing men I had no intention of catching.

Can you say trust-o-phobia? I actually Googled to see if such a thing existed as a true phobia...Google is definitely our friend. This book is filled with Pistanthrophobia. <=== fear of trusting others.

When Claire's wealthy friend, Jillian, becomes engaged to the sexy Lucca Morretti, Jillian hires Claire to test Lucca's ability to resist beautiful women. What Claire never expected was to compromise her professionalism by falling for Lucca's friend, Liam, forgetting about the job at hand with Lucca.

Liam is a sexy bar-owner who is into the kinky side of voyeurism. When he meets Claire, there is a mutual attraction between the two and thus starts a misunderstanding of epic proportion. Claire has no idea of Liam's wilder side, so she agrees to meet him for a date. Enter Andrew...Claire's other date! Technically, it is not a menage a trois, but it is certainly as close as they come! Yes, the steam coming from this scene was enough to give me a facial and clean my pores! I didn't like Claire or Liam very much at this point. He later redeems himself in my eyes when he decides that Claire is special and he wants her for himself, to actually get to know this woman who is different from the rest. I loved how he was dressed on their first official date and the surprises he had in store for Claire that night. He truly was something special, and I thought I had found my new book boyfriend....until THAT happened! Liam is definitely one of those love to hate to love characters that you just have to experience.

Push & Pull has made a mark in my series reading that will have me watching for the release of what comes next in the world of Claire and Liam....and Lucca and Jillian. Maya Tayler has written a story with a twist of all twists in the cliffhanger ending, but this is a cliffhanger I don't mind so much because it gave me that coveted beat-jump in my heart, a gaping mouth, and a gasp for breath. I never saw it coming! With Push & Pull, you get a fully developed story that you can read in a short amount of time that is so well written, it has a full blown novel feel. The characters are developed nicely, the plot is thick, the sex is sizzling, and although I'm left feeling satisfied .... I need more! I'll be watching for the next installment in the Push Series by Maya Tayler to release in March, 2013, and my one-click finger will be ready for it. 4.5 stars for this exceptional erotica!

Holy Hell this book is Hot!
All of it is just mind blowing almost. Claire has been burned badly and now she is in the business of helping successful women not go through what she went through. Claire is hired to flirt with husbands, boyfriends, lovers, fiancés of these women to see if they will "Take the Bait". Claire's friend asks her to set up her new fiancé to see if he will "Take the Bait". All Claire has to go on is the color of his shoes. He ends up passing but during this set up she meets Liam. Upon their first meeting after go unexpectedly - Hot oh so steamy smoking hot but not what she could of ever imagined. Second time their paths cross he asks her to dinner- this too turns out to be very unexpected, not like a normal "first date" - but oh so hot and steamy. Claire's friend is throwing a last min engagement party and I just know something is going to go wrong since Claire was trying to seduce her fiancé at one point but I never saw this coming- Shocker is all I can say. Super quick read but I ended up really connecting with the characters and cannot wait for the next book "Power Play" coming out March 8th.

★★★★ STARS FOR THE FIRST BOOK IN THIS STEAMY NOVELETTE SERIES

This book is a super short steamy read that will leave you saying WTF? Did that get your attention? Good, no but really I mean that in the best possible way and that's the reason I'm giving this short (10,000 words / 33 pages) 4 stars.

"What kind of woman was I? The kind who seduces another woman's man and hides the pleasure she gains from it under a business name?"

Claire's been burned in the past and in a big way. Loosing her fortune she starts a business testing the fidelity of men so no other woman will have to go through the same thing she did. Being asked by a friend to test her fiancee, she's hesitant but agrees nonetheless. After finding her mark and failing at seducing the fiancee- Lucca Morretti, he leaves her with his friend Liam. Having stayed away from men other than business related she allows herself some pleasure but is Liam any different than the scumbag that took off with her fortune or is he something else entirely?

I'm going to stop there since it is a short and I don't want to give to much away but I will say this, if your looking for a quick, sexy, read this is it. With an unexpected twist and an ending that will have your jaw dropping, Maya Tayler has written a solid first novelette for her Push series that I definitely will be revisiting to find out what could possibly happen next.

The second book in the Push Series is expected to be released March 8 2013

Claire is a woman scorned who refuses to let other women fall prey to the same type of man who cleaned out her bank account and broke her heart. She specializes in catching unfaithful men in the act before their fiancee takes that fateful walk down the isle. Her world gets turned on its axis when she meets Liam, who makes her feel something she hasn't felt in quite some time. Claire lets down her guard and allows Liam to attempt to get to know her better, but in the end, she realizes that he might not be any different than all the men she's been hired to catch in the act of unfaithfulness.

I read romance novels for Brazen Reads, which means I read a lot. What struck me about Push & Pull was that it read quickly, was engaging, sexy, and I loved that Claire was such a strong female.

I felt like this novella had equal parts of sexy and story line (which is sometimes overlooked in romance / erotica).

My only wish is that it was longer. I was so hooked that I wanted to keep reading! Hehe. I'll be awaiting the second release anxiously. Nice work for a debut novella!

So this Claire just gets it on with two guys she doesn't even know, one she met at a bar the night before and now she's in his apartment getting f*** by his friend? What? Thanks but no thanks.
It felt like I was READING a porn movie. Ugh.

Okay I don't know why but for some reason I thought this was a whole book, really this was just a teaser. It has a good premise even though the sex in the story kicks off very quickly especially for a girl who "isn't like that."

Buen final! Eso fue todo lo que me gustó del libro. 39 páginas no da mucho para gustar tampoco.
