A good book explaining best practice for a Christian response to the AIDS pandemic. It's written in very simple English and has had a wide circulation (in this edition and published under the other title "AIDS and you"). The practical wisdom here has probably saved many lives, and there is a good discussion with several case studies of some of the serious problems associated with AIDS (misinformation, ostracization, social pressure, ignorance, denial...)
Much of the practical wisdom can be easily adapted for other fields (church planting, political campaigning etc); it felt like a general motivational book for starting movements and the power of the crowd to make positive change. In that regard, it felt quite like a TED talk, but this is tempered with discussion on real setbacks (withdrawal of funding because a project wasn't seen as "sustainable") and failures. The motivation that the reader provides for action, particularly towards the last chapters, is quite inspiring. The book has a page at the end with actions for the reader and dates for those actions and reflections on response - unlike any other book I've read!
