Roam, imprisoned in an ancient land and left to the mercy of Troy's cruel reign, longs for freedom, her child, and West. Surviving with only Logan's presence to save her from certain insanity, she turns to herself and finds that she alone possesses the strength and power to save her own life.
Deep within her soul, Roam remembers her timeless love for West and their child. Drawn together for the final battle, Roam and West cling to each other… and the promise of one last life…
I absolutely love West and Roam and their epic love story and i am not ready to let them go yet, they are seriously one of my all time favourite couples next to Tatiana and Alexander. I can't wait to read the next book but i don't want this series to end yet.
I enjoyed this story but, I find myself wanting these characters to just get their happy ending and not have to keep going through all the trials they've been facing. There are more books in this series but, I'm not sure at this point if I'll keep going.
Just how much would you be willing to sacrifice to keep your loved ones safe? As much as it takes.
From love to loss, Roam Camden has traveled from the high of euphoria to the depths of despair. No amount of planning in her few short years has prepared her for this last loss: her freedom. But if her misery will keep West and Eva safe, no torture Troy meters out will be too great. Will she lose her sanity along with her freedom in this nightmare, or reach deep for the inner strength to reclaim them both?
Although familiar with crushing defeat before, West Perry has never known the debilitating weight of this one. Never has his circumstances been so dire or his loyalties so divided. Care and consideration for their daughter, Eva, is a major concern, but Roam's fate at Troy's hands torments his thoughts and dreams night and day. Can he find a workable solution to his dilemma, or be sentenced to a lifetime of conflicting emotions?
Confusing at best and terrifying at worst, Logan Rush's emotions torment him daily. Murderous impulses toward Roam have been tempered by his love, and now all he wants is to keep her safe. Volunteering to remain by her side during this nightmare ordeal, he searches for a solution: free Roam and regain control over his life. Can he save Roam from Troy's nefarious actions, or lose the inner war against Troy's influences?
Can love really conquer all?
Is Roam's destiny a lifetime of misery and pain?
Can Logan save her or himself?
Can West win against Troy this time?
Never knowing where each turn of the page takes you, this third installment keeps you guessing until the climatic end. Enthralling and engrossing with every page.
I would highly recommend this book! Excellent Read!
Imprisoned in a cold world by a cruel king, Roam is without West and her daughter. Logan stayed behind to protect her the best he can but Troy keeps his brother away from his Queen. Roam is subjected to the worst abuse and is close to losing herself but she would do it again to save her Eva. She believed West would find a way to save her but as time passes, her hopes fade. She works to find ways ot make the kingdom better and gains the admiration of the people. West has never given up on his love and despairs each day knowing the terrors she's facing. Fortunately, there is a secret ally behind the castle walls. All hope is not lost.
I was not a huge fan of this book. It was well-written but I do not like separation tropes whether they're due to amnesia, calamity, or in this case, world-jumping. This one lasted too long. Plus, it seemed as if many on the Earth side just went on with life knowing Roam was being tortured by Troy. I will never feel the same about Morgan again. Character ruined. Thank goodness for the cuteness of Eva. Then the rescue wasn't a reunion and more time was lost. Not the storyline for me.
If you had clawed your way out of a nightmare, scarred and broken and barely alive, would you choose oblivion, amnesia, the erasing of every single memory including the good ones or would you choose to suffer the memories to remember the one you love?
And how would you choose if it was someone else’s memories – of you – that would be erased?
Rise is the most emotionally devastating book of the series so far and by devastating, I mean it was an emotional wrecking ball and I loved every second of it.
Plot Roam is Troy’s captive wife, imprisoned in the ice castle with an army who hates her and a husband who loves to hurt her but can’t let her go. It is confronting, it is depressing, it is miserable and about every other negative adjective that you could associate with Troy, and yet I loved the ice castle setting. It was chilling and fascinating all at once.
On the outside, time passes much faster and West wrestles with his decision to save Laurel, and Eva. Because now he faces a life of watching his daughter grow up without her mother, his Roam.
The plot may start off a little slower than the other books but it was perfectly timed. When things.... took off, they took off in a huge, devastating way.
I ran the gamut of emotions in one sitting (it took me one long, sleepless night to finish because I couldn’t put it down) and just when I’d think my heart couldn’t take another beating, Stedronsky would pull me back. Warm me with hope, just a little, just so I wouldn’t give up on her characters. And am I glad I didn’t!! I LOVED THIS.
Roam and West I could write all day about my love for Roam and West (and begrudgingly, Eva because she may be a kid but she’s a darn cute one) but I don’t want to spoil a second of this amazing, epic love story. And trust me, it is EPIC. Instead, I will leave you with this quote:
"When I touched you, I loved you. You were the reason for every minute that passed."
Fantastic book! I was lucky to get an advanced copy and was thrilled with the wonderful story. I love how the author doesn't miss a beat. RISE begins where FALL ended and we follow Roam through her tormented time with Troy. Logan is with her, which gives her comfort, but she continues to endure enormous suffering. Without giving anything away, the story also focuses on how West, Eva, Violet and Morgan have dealt with Roam's absence.
There are many clever twists and turns and I was completely surprised at different times throughout the book. I was anxious, sad, laughed a little and even had tears while reading this.
I enjoyed RISE as much as I have enjoyed Roam and Fall. RISE does have a lot of action too, I should mention. I look forward to the next book with much anticipation.
A satisfying end for a fantastic story. I'm really glad the author stuck with three books for the story arc. Two would have been too short, and I think a lot of authors would have tried to squeeze a fourth or even fifth out just to make some extra money (and negatively impacted the story as a whole). The story was told well and very competently. The characters just come alive and I feel like I know them.
I am really happy that Logan is going to get his own set of books. He was always a very interesting character to me but in many ways he remained on the periphery. With Roam & West's story complete, I look forward to Logan's!
My goodness, this book was awesome. Once again I was glued from start to finish. The story line is absolutely amazing, I marvel at the authors thought process and I found myself continually asking how someone can come up characters and settings that completely blow the mind.
I read a lot of books, this series is one of my favourites. A MUST READ! Thank you Kimberly. Is it silly to ask then Rush will be out???
This series keeps getting better. I think this might be my favorite of the three (but I've said that about each of them as I read them). This book takes you on quite the emotional roller coaster ride and Roam and West cope with their separation. She has to endure torture at the hands of Troy and West has to raise their child alone all the while wanting to get Roam and bring her back.
Kimberly Stedronsky is such a talented writer! Quickly becoming one of my go to authors.
This series is so complex but enjoyable - the jumping to different times zones makes me dizzy and struggle to keep up with who is in what era. Troy - he is so evil although I did start to warm to him when Roam was in the castle before she tried to plot against him; will he ever die or will he keep plaguing Roam & West forever?
totally not disappointed with this book...a total roller coaster of emotions the whole time!!! I love West and the new character Will...Holy Hell!!! SEXY!!! Everyone needs to read this series right this sec!!! NOW I tell ya
I LOVE this series it's original. I love all the characters even evil Troy lol looking forward to the rest of the series and more by this a amazing author!
Immortality, Reincarnation, Parallel Universes, Time Travel
Dramas, heartbreak, loves, friendship, family... So much is happening in this one book, and it's a whole new level of awesomeness.
The story continues with Roam's story in Icepond, and occasionally, we read about West and Eva. My heart broke for Roam in this third book. She has been through so much for a seventeen years old girl. Well, she would be nineteen in the real world, but time moves slowly in the parallel world.
One thing I find hard to believe is Troy's ending. It couldn't be that simple, could it? And since there are still a few more books left in the series, I wonder if he would rise again or if we'll be reading about Logan, Violet and maybe Eva with Will😉?
I absolutely love ❤️ this book….. This series definitely is fantastic! So realistic and entertaining! While I have never been a fan of many romance storyline, this series is definitely worth reading! I am really happy that Logan is going to get his own set of books. He was always a very interesting character to me but in many ways he remained on the periphery. With Roam & West's story complete, I look forward to Logan's! Definitely recommend this series, onto book 4 Rush..
The series has gotten better since reading the first book. This book in particular took a very dark turn with the rape and self harming. I still enjoyed the storyline and it kept me interested and engaged. However, I'm not sure if I wanna continue with the series. I feel that the story has come full circle for me and reading the other characters stories holds no appeal for me.
This book is a bit more brutal compared to the last two. It’s great to see the characters grow and learn. I’m really enjoying the chemistry between these characters and how they fall in love with each other over and over. #PinkFlamingoProductions #FlockReview #audiobookobsessionreviewer
I don’t know why but the second half of this book was just kinda eh for me. It was a good series. I loved the characters and the plot. I just think it could have been developed deeper.
I enjoyed this series. It was entertaining an adventure and the characters were well developed. The book had some typos but otherwise the story was well written.
Wow this was such an intense story, so much happens, so much pain and misery. Roam is such a strong character to endure all that she goes through in this book.
