Born and raised in the Southeast, award-winning author Patrice Michelle gave up her financial calculator for a keyboard and never looked back. Thanks to an open-minded family who taught her that life isn't as black and white as we're conditioned to believe, she pens her novels with the belief that various shades of gray are a lot more interesting. She's a natural with a point-and-shoot camera, likes to fiddle with graphic design and, to the relief of her family, strums her guitar to an audience of one.

Well, that's the condensed, back-of-the-book bio about moi, anyway. :o)

As for becoming a writer...I wasn't one of those writers scribbling stories as soon as I could write, but I was a voracious reader. At the age of fifteen, I told my mom after I'd finished reading a book, "One day, I want to be the one who writes the kind of books readers think about long after they've closed it."

As Patrice Michelle, I write dark, sexy, action-packed paranormal and contemporary romances.

As P.T. Michelle, I write dark paranormal YA books. My first P.T. Michelle book is coming in July: BRIGHTEST KIND OF DARKNESS.

Yay baby! Patrice Michelle has done it again, 5 star novel, Josh’s Justice in her Bad In Boots series. Patrice is a talented writer that even though in Josh Justice the hero and heroine fall in love within 3 days it felt so real. I was so engrossed in the hero/heroine time together did not even realize it is happening within a few days.

OMG! I am crushing on Josh the sexy wearing wrangler Cowboy/Fireman hero. Fell head over heals in love with him right from the beginning. Josh helps on his parents ranch but he is also a fireman. A bad incident that happened when he was a child left him to be a Fireman. Heart wrenching what happened that made him want to be a Fireman. He spends most of his days in the fire station to help him cope with the bad incident, that is until he meets Sabrina. Now he wants to spend time with her. She makes him feel alive.

Sabrina lost her father to a fire he was fighting to put out. She never gotten over it, left her a little bit of a control freak. She just had a relationship ended because she tried to control him. She decides to take a vacation and visit her best friend from college on a ranch, then she decides she is going to live in the moment and not try to control everything around her. Well that is easy until she meets Josh and they have chemistry right from the beginning. But he is a Fireman and her control issues want to come to the surface.

Their chemistry is hot. The sexual tensions got me hot and bothered to many times to count. I have never been so jealous of a character before now. Patrice had me wanting to be Sabrina so bad, especially in the scene with Josh and Sabrina riding a horse together. I loved how Josh was able to keep Sabrina’s control matter under wraps especially in the bedroom. The little BDSM scene is wickedly delicious and written well. It was light and not over the top. The sex scenes will have you needing to take a cold shower and wishing you could find a yummy cowboy for yourself. Josh’s dirty talking mouth had me panting and wanting him all to my self. Not only did I find them sexy in bed but outside of the bedroom too. They are so adorable together and perfect. Loved when they were playful. They way they flirt and tease each other was a joy to read. They do have a few minor bumps but they are not overly drawn out. I could not swipe my kindle fast enough to see what was going to happen next.

Loved how Colt and Elise from Colt’s Choice (Bad In Boots #3) were part of the plot and how they are doing. Loved how the secondary characters are in it just enough that I want to know more. Mace had me giggling with his sexy charm and innocent flirting with Sabrina. I hope he gets his own story soon.

Patrice Michelle is an amazing story teller with a beautiful writing voice. She has the right amount of romance and a bit of mystery. Her novels are a feel good feeling. Josh's Justice is a keeper for me. Look forward to see who is next up in her Bad In Boots series and can not wait to see the lovely cover.

Holy Hot Smokin Sexy Cowboys from around the globe...bow down to Josh Kelly!!

This was one hot read. Literally. There were fires people. And not just between the sheets!! - but believe me, it was there too ;)

"Be careful Josh Kelly. You might be one to start this fire, but I promise I'll be the one to make it burn bright."

Josh is a fireman, and works at the family ranch, Sabrina is an advertising exec visiting a girlfriend for a vacation, from their very first encounter there is sexual tension leaping off the pages.

Tragedy from Sabrina's past puts a relationship with Josh out of the picture but she can't turn down a night (or 2, or 3) with the man who can make her forget her fear of horse riding.

"Ready to go headlong, Bri? No reservations, no hang-ups. Just you and Mr. Sex-on-Wheels...doing well, almost-sex-on-a-horse and wherever else we can think of."

There is mystery & drama underfoot though, it seems someone wants to eliminate Sabrina. Will she get to willingly give her heart and soul away to Josh despite his deep seeded personal need to be a firefighter or will she run out of time?

I adored all the characters. They were so fun to be around, and Nan was just a crackup! They had real life issues that shaped who they are today. I got goosies quite a number of times & even shed a few tears here and there.

"I wanted you to know, and Nick too, that he did become the hero he'd always wanted to be. It might've been your shooting skills but it was him gun, Josh."

Josh was, how do I say it, wickedly rough and spectacularly dominant in the bedroom, horse, living room, stables, hell, you know what I mean ;)

Josh didn't skimp in the seduction department. She was completely under his spell, her body a quivering, molten mass of nerves.

This was a great, compelling and sexy read. I would absolutely recommend it! Well done Ms Michelle.

"When a cowboy finds his woman, he never let's her go, sweetheart."

So where can I get me one of them?!!!

Again, more sexy scenes from the the author.  This was a little more complex than the previous three books.  More suspence, a bit of jealously, more resistance in emotions...there were a few more obstacles in this insta-love romance.  The instant chemistry between Josh and Sabrina was clear.  Their sexual attraction was on the "jump his bones and sop it up with a buscuit" level, no strings attached.  And his aggressiveness was hot.  I figured out the arsonist quickly, and it was a happy ending for both Lonestar and Double K.

*The books in the Bad in Boots series can be read as stand-alones, but I would recommend reading them in order.  You have a chance to meet some of the characters in the next book, while also getting to check in with the characters in the previous books.*

I found Michelle long ago when she used to write in the group blog with Ilona Andrews, Meljean Brook, Nalini Singh, and Jill Myles. When I saw she was writing a series of cowboy romance books, I was hooked. Who doesn’t love a smutty cowboy?

Sabrina is headed down to Texas to spend some time with her girlfriend. What she never expected was to fall in lust with the sexy neighbor, or get attacked on her second day in town. After a knock on the head and being trapped in a burning barn, Sabrina is taken under the wing of the ever sexy Josh Kelly.

Josh lusted over Elise, but when he meets Sabrina, all thoughts of the married Elise fly out the window. Sabrina is sex on legs, and the more time he spends with her, the more he dreads letting her go. As they get to know one another even better, Josh knows that Sabrina is the one for him. But with danger waiting in the shadows, there might not be enough to keep them together.

This novella was a great mix of both suspense and romance. There were some wonderful sexy times between Josh and Sabrina, and also just enough mystery to keep me engaged. Despite some of the suspense being put on the back burner during the romance moments, I think that part of the plot was what kept me extra interested in the story. Not knowing who knocked Sabrina out, who could want to harm her, or more accurately Elise, was a fun mystery to solve. I was anxious to find out who the bad guy was, especially as Michelle did a good job of covering the tracks of the real villain.

While I really enjoyed the romance between Josh and Sabrina, especially their intimate moments, I did think they were VERY quick to profess their love for one another. I find it hard to believe in the characters that fall in love within days, and while I was happy to see them do it, I also had a bit of a hard time believing in it. I would have been perfectly happy to see them take the next step romantically and leave it as a happy for now scenario. I do hope that Michelle continues to write in this series. I’m a big fan of my cowboys, and even more so when they are a little dirty. And yes, Josh was a little bit dirty!

I really liked the internal conflict that Sabrina dealt with as well. The added aspect of her father dying while fighting a fire, and falling in love with a fireman was great. Having to watch her overcome those fears, deal with that insecurity, and having Josh see it and try to meet her halfway was wonderful. I’m a big fan of that kind of internal drama within a relationship, and I thought Michelle balanced it wonderfully.

All in all I hope to see more Bad in Boots books. I like having the chance to read a short and wonderful story where I can count on a sweet romance, a lot of steamy moments, and a little mystery. Hopefully we will get the chance to see Josh and Sabrina again.

I give Josh’s Justice a C+

Accused of being too controlling of her life by her ex-boyfriend, Sabrina knew she had to make some changes.

While visiting Elise and her new husband Colt, she makes the decision to let her hair down, cut loose, enjoy her time with whatever man struck her fancy--except for firefighters.

When Josh walked into that barn, he mistakes Sabrina for Elise. Yeah, he shouldn't but he couldn't help the attraction for his neighbor's new wife. As awkward as things are at first, as much as the two women look alike, Josh is quick to find out that Elise means nothing compared to Sabrina who was now in danger after an attack and fire in Colt's barn.

Thrust into protecting her, they become closer, they start to fall for one another. When Sabrina discovers that the man she was most likely in love with is a firefighter, she pushes through her reservations and attempts to make it work--until Josh suffers an accident on the job.

"Josh's Justice" is a thrilling and sensual read. Michelle has excelled through this series and I have to say that this one is my favorite of the lot.

This was a brilliant one sitting read that i couldn't put down until i had finished it! It links Josh in from when Elise first turned up as Colt's partner in the previous book in series.
When Josh and Sabrina first meet, he thinks she is Elise from the back, when she turns and their eyes meet, you can feel their attraction, scourching hot between them.
I refuse to give spoilers away in reviews, but i will say that when they share their pasts, it's heart braking and then they have a massive twist that involves a crazy person... Will Sabrina finally admit her feelings? Or will she leave him to go back? Can they overcome certain worries and pull through together? Or is it all too much and their HEA gets stopped before it's had a chance to begin?
Everything will be revealed by the end of the novella. Written perfectly with so much passion that it has definately earned the 5 stars i have given. Can't wait to find out what is coming next!!!

I thought after the last book this one couldn't top it but I liked this book just as much. I cant choose between Colt and Josh.

I wasn't sure I was going to like Josh after the last book and didn't know how his relationship with Elise's best friend would work, but as soon as I started reading it all my reservations went away and couldn't put the book down.

I love this series so much and the books keep getting better.

I love the relationship between Josh and Sabrina and how they work out their problems.

It's a winner! Great story. Every girl wants to be somebody's everything. Patrice has the gift to create that feeling within her stories. She makes the characters accessible and honest. It's hot too, but the seduction isn't oddly placed outside the story like a compulsory routine, it's a natural result of the attraction the characters feel for each other. And the seduction! Man! Great quick read.

It was not hard to like Josh. It made you wonder why Elise did not go for Josh. Lucky for Sabrina, her friend, Elise, fell in love with Colt, because Josh was certainly meant for Sabrina. This was a hot romance with suspense, not your typical love story. This book kept your interest and is the best in this series. Rating 4.25

Not as good as 2 & 3...this story line is not realistic at all. Too soon I love yous, house you can only get to by horse, and strings tied around fingers....hope the next story is stronger and hopefully about one of Colts brothers!

Can you say Alpha!

I loved all the Bad in Boots books. Loved Josh & Sabrina. He was super protective & over Alpha but it worked for Sabrina. I am hoping Colt’s brothers get their own story. I like all of P.T. Mitchell’s books.
