Best beginners chess book ever. I got mine in 1974 and am now passing it on to my granddaughter.
Too bad that it is not still in print. It is amusing as well as informative.
And, the illustrations are remarkable.

An absolutely awesome book to help your literate child really understand chess. It does a nice job of bringing the game to life, is funny, and has amazing illustrations.
