Come Undone #2

Chasing Mrs. Right

Rate this book
A sexy category romance from Entangled's Brazen imprint...

It was only supposed to last one night…

Roxanne Stokes doesn’t believe in love. She does, however, believe in the sexy-as-sin stranger who literally knocks her off her feet in front of a nightclub. The chemistry sparking between them takes her breath away, and she’ll do anything to ease the pain in his eyes…until she realizes the handsome stranger is her best friend’s older brother who’s just come home from war.

Ian Walser had no idea the gorgeous woman he slept with the night of his homecoming party was his little sister’s best friend—or that she’d be gone before morning. Roxanne’s touch soothes him in a way nothing else can, and he’s not ready to walk away from that yet. Not when spending time with her gave Ian a glimpse of everything he’s ever wanted.

When his sister unwittingly pushes them together, he sees his chance. But convincing a woman who doesn’t believe in love that she’s his Mrs. Right might be harder than any mission Ian’s undertaken. Good thing this soldier likes a challenge…

Chasing Mrs Right is entertaining enough. I do like the idea that Roxane is the anti comitment heroine while Ian is the hero looking for real relationship.
The chemistry between them is sizzle and fun to read.

What I want more is the depth of the plot/ story. The twist and drama is lacking. Miss Robert almost add nothing into the plot. Just plain. Too plain, in my opinion.

Overall this is OK read.

Chasing Mrs. Right is the second installment in Katee Robert's adult contemporary romance series titled Come Undone. This novel starts off as a one-night-stand with characters who will unknowingly be seeing each other again. You see, she's his sister's best friend and he just came back from deployment. This relationship was both fun and emotional to watch, as the subject of coping with the aftermath of combat was a loud presence for the hero in this story. I enjoyed this one and especially appreciated Ms. Robert showcasing this issue for readers. Check it out!

I received this arc from Netgalley for my honest review

Holy Heck, this was a sizzling steamy book and it starts you off with a bang!

Ian is just back from his final tour of Afghanistan. A return soldier, he only wants to be alone to deal with his PTS, but he is whirled straight from the Airport to a welcome home party a his sisters fiance's club.He does not want to be there and in the middle of his frantic escape, he bangs straight into Roxanne.

Roxanne is on her way to a welcome home party for the brother of her best friend, when she is knocked on her ass by a man who looks strangely close to a panic attack. He also seems to be one of the most attractive men she has ever met.

They have immediate chemistry and neither know who the other is when they go home together.

Roxanne makes it clear to Ian that she is not interested in relationships at all, but he is not going to let go of the one thing that has calmed his war damaged soul.

The chase that ensues is a good one. I loved that it was the man chasing the woman, convincing her of the joys that a relationship could bring. Roxanne's issues with relationships were fair ones and I could definitely understand her skittishness around the big "L" word.

Roxanne as a character was a funny one, I loved her witty retorts.

Ian,of course, was adorable, the perfect man and I love reading about a perfect man :)I loved especially how he found his calm within the presence of Roxanne,it made their romance all the more sweet.

This book flowed really well, in fact it was such a delight that I read it in one day.

I have read the book one in this series by Katee Robert, Wrong bed
Right Guy, and I have to say that this one left it for dust. The characters were just perfect, very likable. The relationship didn't feel forced at all, I felt the connection and was really looking forward to the happily ever after. The steam factor was there, it started right from the beginning and kept me excited right til the end. I would suggest giving this one ago, it had everything in it that I have come to expect from a really great erotic romance.

"Sometimes there really is a happily ever after without any strings attached. You just have to be brave enough to face it."

AHHH, this book was really good!! This review is probably not going to be like my normal reviews due to the fact I can't post pics and that has put me in a mood, (Yes, I'm pouting) but I wanted to say something about this story. This mood has not effected my thoughts on the book though.

IMO, this book was way better than the first, I'll tell you why...

Ian has just came back from the army base in Japan. The war has left him with borderline PTSD. He's trying to keep his family in the dark because he doesn't want to worry them, but his sister has thrown him a party at Gabe's club and the noise and all the people around is just too much so he sneaks out. The closer he gets to the door the faster he needs out of this building which leaves him bulldozing into a gorgeous brunette and knocking them both down. Instantly there is an attraction but more importantly her touch completely calms his nerves. He's hurt her and she's bleeding so they go back inside to get her lef taken care of and a quick drink, one thing leads to another and they end up going to a hotel together and having insanely hot sex. He wakes up the next morning realizing due to the gorgeous girl sleeping with him, he actually slept all night long, only turns out it wasn't all night long because she's gone. He never even found out her name or number.

Roxanne can't believe the gorgeous man she slept with last night was Elle's brother. She's trying to figure out how to get herself out of this mess when who shows up, but Elle's brother, again, and he's seriously mad at her. Not to mention, they have a very uncomfortable exchange in the bathroom and then on top of that, Elle asks Rox to try to talk to Ian because obviously something is bothering him. Rox, not being able to deny her best friend, goes to talk to him and then receives the shock of her life time, not that he wants to take her to dinner, but that she actually wants to go with him.

"If you plan is to sex me into submission, I'm not saying it's working, but I'm not saying it's not working either."

Ian and Roxanne were hotter than hot together. I loved their banter.

"I've been thinking about f@cking you in front of the bathroom mirror all week. Every time I picture the look on your face as you came, I start counting down the hours until I can do it again."

Even though I loved Gabe, in the first book, Ian and Roxanne's story was so much better for me. Roxanne had this cool, sarcastic approach to her, even though she was fighting herself on the inside, she wasn't stuck up like Elle had been. Elle was all uptight and acted better than everyone, while Roxanne just sorta went with the flow. Ian was fighting demons. Demons normal people don't understand. I loved how Roxanne didn't push him for details but understood what he needed and was just there for him.

Of course Ian and Elle's mom was back with a vengeance. I liked seeing Elle take up for herself and Ian the same, but I think their mom needs a swift kick to the ego and seeing that the next book is Nathan's story I'm starting to think we won't get to witness that. :( Speaking of Nathan's story, I'm really curious what his little side comments have been about to Ian and can't wait to read his story. :)

We have all read that book where boy-meets-girl, fell in lust/love but the hero tries to keep the heroine at arms length because he has commitment issues right? Right. Well, this book has that same trope but only this time, it's the heroine, Roxanne, who has an issue with commitment. No, she's not flighty, nor does she hops from one bed to the next but she's just wary of men because past experiences taught her that they never stay for long.

So she meets, Ian, who happened to be her best friend's brother (though she doesn't know it at first), had a one-night stand with him, felt the connection but as was her MO, she bolted.

Ian, who has his own issues as well, has just returned from his second tour in Afghanistan a broken man. But he was taken enough with Roxanne and tried to make the "relationship" work. From what you might have gleaned from the title, it was actually Ian who did most of the chasing and Roxanne did most of the running away. The running away was mostly happening in her head though since despite her protests, she keeps ending up in his bed.

Overall, I like the pacing of this book. There were plenty of smexy scenes and the chemistry between Ian and Roxanne was believable. My only comment is that Ian's issues with PTSD was never really explored. Sure they were mentioned and I felt that they were never fleshed out. It was mostly about Roxanne's inability to commit and her flitting from guy to guy because she wasn't into love, commitment and marriage, which was disappointing because Ian as a character had great potential.

But it did work out in the end. I loved the big gesture that Roxanne did in order to prove her love for Ian. Although, the grand gesture didn't quite go as planned, which I thought was funny, it was a satisfying ending. I'm definitely looking forward to Nathan's book.

Rating: 3 1/2 stars!!

This second book in the Come Undone series was sweeter and shorter than expected. It really was more a novella than anything else.
I thought Ian and Roxanne were going to face more problems or a bigger breakup moment, but it wasn't like that.
The story was straight to the point, steamy but cute.

This is the second book I'm reading by the author (also the second in the series) and I'm finding the MMCs way more enjoyable than the MFCs. The guys are way more romantic, caring, vulnerable, understanding and compromising than the two girls, who I found to be insufferable in the moments right after their respective first times.

All in all these seem to be the perfect steamy-good-night-fairytales I needed.

Loved, loved, loved this one!!!!

I first discovered Katee Robert earlier this year when I had the chance to read Wrong Bed, Right Guy. Right away, I knew I had found a fun little contemporary romance series to read. When an early review copy of Chasing Mrs. Right became available, I was very excited to read it.

Chasing Mrs. Right takes place in the same world as Wrong Bed, Right Guy. This time the focus is on Elle’s brother Ian and Elle’s best friend Roxanne. Ian is just back home from a military tour of duty. He’s a little skittish around crowds and noises spook him. When he is the guest of honor at his welcome home party, he feels the need to escape and literally crashes into Roxanne, injuring her. Ian comes to the rescue and plays the part of the medic tending to Roxanne’s wounds.

These two go from zero to sixty in no time flat. The sexual tension is delicious and even their banter carries a sexual charge. Thank goodness for convenient hotel rooms…

I adored Ian and Roxanne. Ian was struggling with PTSD and had difficulty adjusting to life stateside. In addition, family pressures from a particularly overbearing and somewhat nasty mother to take over the family business made him feel uncomfortable. Add in a woman like Roxanne and whoa, Ian had his hands full.

Roxanne was also a relationship mess. She tends to overthink everything, especially since her last boyfriend cheated after telling her that he loved her. As a result, Roxanne was commitment shy.

Ian perseveres. Did I mention how much I loved Ian? He was charming, witty, sexy, and very attentive to his girl. Best alpha caveman ever! I’d like an Ian, too.

Chasing Mrs. Right is an entertaining book to read. I sat on the sidelines cheering these two on. I wanted them to be happy. If there was ever a couple that deserved a happily ever after, it’s Ian and Roxanne. By the way, this book had one of the funniest lines I’ve read in a while:
“Stay and I’ll make you breakfast in the morning.”
“You cook?” She yawned. “I like my eggs with a side of orgasms.”

This is a series that does not need to be read in order – each book can stand alone. I think that once you start reading this series, you’ll probably want more. I’m looking forward to reading Two Wrongs, One Right coming out this summer.

Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for a review copy of this book.

Omg. OMG. Where do I start with this book. Ok. I know. If you don't like reading about hot, steamy sex...stop reading this review now. Chasing Mrs. Right was seriously everything I look for in an Erotic novel. Now, I really enjoyed Wrong Bed, Right Guy, but this book....had it all.

Roxanne and Ian meet at his coming home party. He's been overseas serving in the military. Their chance meeting leads to a night of unbelievable sex. Here are the issues: Ian is suffering from a mild case of PTSD and Roxanne as commitment issues. OH and Roxanne is his sister's best friend. However, despite their obstacles, they can't resist being together. I loved Roxanne. She speaks her mind and her honesty is refreshing. Plus, she made me laugh. A lot. And Ian...I loved him. Not only was he sexy, but he knew what he wanted and wasn't afraid to go after it.

Let's talk about sex. This book was absolutely fantastic in the sex department for me. If you follow my blogs you know that I like reading about good sex. Well, this one packed a punch for me. From the club 'fingering' incident, to the car sex, garage videos, and then on to the mirror sex....this book had me hot. TMI? Possibly, but FOR REAL! OMG HOT!

Overall, I LOVED this book. I'm a little surprised that I fell for these characters as much as I did, but Ian and Rox were a really great couple. I truly enjoyed seeing them fall in love. Katee Robert has made a fan. I absolutely can't wait to read the next book, Two Wrongs, One Right, which is Nathan's story. If you are a fan of steamy, and I mean steamy, fast reads, check this series out. Katee Robert has definitely become a go-to author for me!

~"I had a really good time. Thank you." Hell, she did, too. And not just because she's started off the date with an orgasm.-Loc 1099

FAV Quote:

I really enjoyed getting to Rox's story. I loved the depth to her character and more importantly Ian's!! I've been wanting to know more about Ian since he first made a very brief appearance in the first book. I enjoyed the build up to their relationship and the problems they faced. However, I felt like the story was dragged out longer than it needed to be. Or more so, some chapters felt like they weren't properly laid out so it felt like unnecessary info.

A chance meeting between Ian and Roxanne leads to a night of passion...

Ian is back from his second tour in Afghanistan. He barely gets off the plane and he is bombarded by a welcome home party from his baby sister. Ian finds himself unable to handle it and flees the scene.

Roxanne is not interested in love or a boyfriend, or commitments. They lead to bad things. She has been taught well to rely on no-one but herself. She has erected a bulletproof wall around her heart. Too bad she meets a straight shooter who doesn't play fair.

They have combustible chemistry. Roxanne could give in and let him in, but at what cost? Ian could fall in love, but would he ever be whole again, and be enough to be truly wanted? This story shows us two unlikely lovers who aren't looking for love, but cupid struck them both and fate has other plans for them.

This was a great second story for this series, the first book being Wrong Bed, Right Guy. Great chemistry, a quick and feisty hot read.

This story started out with a bang. So much so, I’m not really that surprised the author couldn’t keep it going.

Roxanne is the most brazen, self-assured, flamboyant woman I think I have ever read about and it was refreshing. I loved how bold she was and it did not come off as trashy to me because she recognized her attraction to a man she has never met and took exactly what she wanted when she wanted it. I always find it interesting that men get to enjoy all the freedom of judgement when it comes to having one night stands but as soon as a woman does it, she’s a classless insecure “whore”. I feel like the author depicted Roxanne with enough class that her forward demeanor did not come off the least bit sleazy.

I loved Roxanne and Ian’s chemistry. I also loved that Ian was determined to be the chaser and was hell bent on bringing Roxanne out of her shell. They both were complex characters in the fact that Roxanne had hang ups when it came to love and Ian was suffering from PTSD. However, I feel the author overstressed Roxanne’s reluctance for falling in love because of her mother. Yes, her mother may have planted the seed but it was Roxanne’s choice to allow it to grow and kept on watering it. I would have appreciated more explanation because I was at a loss when it came to understanding why she gave her mother so much credit when it came to the “Love” issue but didn’t give a damn about anything else her mother said or did. It was an unnecessary and underdeveloped crutch that tainted the story in my opinion.

Also, after about midway through the book I felt like the author was reaching for anything to keep the story interesting and once it got to about 75% she threw in a very predictable but underwhelming plot twist that didn’t seem believable. After all the chasing Ian did, to give up because of insecurity was a bit odd.

All in all, I still enjoyed the read to an extent and look forward to reading about Nathan’s story. Hopefully I stay hooked from start to finish like I did reading Elle and Gabe’s story.

Roxanne has been jaded due to her less than stellar dating record and this, combined with her mother's horrible dating history means she isn't in the market for love.

Ian just returned home from the war and the last thing he needs is a welcome home party that is filled with people who set his PTSD off.

Ian collides with Roxanne outside the club and as they say- the rest is history. Their hookups were explosive and the banter between Roxanne and Ian was cute.

"If your plan is to sex me into submission, I'm not saying it's working, but I'm not saying it's not working either."

Roxanne keeps Ian's demons at bay and for that, he's willing to play along with her no-strings-attached conditions. That is until he penetrates her hard outer layers and she starts falling for him in real. Can their relationship handle the scrutiny of Ian's parents and Roxanne's commitment issues? Will Ian's PTSD ever allow him to find love and a semblance of normal?

This was a good fast-paced read but not that exceptional.

"Sometimes there really is a happily ever after without any strings attached. You just have to be brave enough to face it."

Roxanne doesn't believe in love. But Ian - Ian believes in love. And after what they just experienced together, there's no way he's just going to let her go.

Chasing Mrs. Right is published by Brazen, a line of Entangled Publishing that I love. It started with J. Lynn's Tempting the Player, and then I was hooked. I've loved every single book of Brazen's that I've read, and this one was no exception. I also seem to read all these Brazen titles in one sitting, and I'm now almost certain of my suspicion that somebody is putting addictive drug powers into the words I read. Which is a slightly creepy thought, but as long as these books keep being as good as they've been, I'm fine with it...kind of.

Katee Robert is an adult writer. If you aren't fond of sexual depictions, Chasing Mrs. Right isn't the book for you. However, if you don't mind that and enjoy dramatic tension, like good solid characters, and have a soft spot for quick, easy, but very likable reads - Roxanne and Ian's story is just the one for you!

I expected Ian to be a bad boy. I really, wholeheartedly, honestly did. But what I found was definitely not what I thought I'd find. Instead of an edgy boy with bad language, Ian was sincerely kind of sweet. He cared for Roxanne right from the very beginning when he helped her fix the leg she hurt. Despite that though, Ian did have a bit of roughness to him. Wearied down from his time in Afghanistan, peace and quiet are a luxury that isn't easy to come across. But with Roxanne, a woman he met by chance, he's comfortable and safe, and he can finally sleep through a night for a change. And before he knows it, he's falling for his little sister's best friend.

Roxanne doesn't do long term relationships. Commitments and boyfriends never end well, a fact that Roxanne's all too aware of. But she never expected an encounter with a man who makes her want to take a chance, to want to jump even knowing she'll probably fall. A man that threatens everything she stands for, and threatens to tear down the walls she's spend so much time building.

Roxanne and Ian have undeniable chemistry, and I loved watching their story unfold. But Chasing Mrs. Right also touched on some secondary characters that I would've like to see more of. I'll put Ellie, Gabe, and Nathan aside, since I know they have their own story - but the issue with Ian's mom I wanted more resolution too. I'm all for deficiency, and overly controlling, uncaring, self-absorbed parents will be the death of me. I hate grown ups who act like that, who think only of themselves and public image. I really wanted somebody, anybody, to stand up to Ian's mom and just say with a waggling finger, "Fuck off my life." Or at least...

But all in all, Chasing Mrs. Right was a solid installment. You don't need to have read the first in this series to enjoy this one. But even if you have or haven't, if you like adult contemporary, the second Coming Undone novel is one you won't want to miss.

First thing... holy crap - Ian.

I mean, I wasn't expecting him when I first picked up this book. Ian has just returned home from his last tour in Afghanistan to a welcome home party thrown by his sister. He has an aversion to crowds and loud noises and hanging out in his little sister's fiance's club isn't doing anything for his stress levels. Now throw in a harpy of a mother and it's no wonder he's ready to bolt. And bolt the does, unfortunately in his speedy escape he literally runs into Roxanne who is on her way into the party.

Roxanne is Elle's best friend and was invited to a welcome home party for a brother she's never met. But when she runs into Ian, she realizes she'd rather scratch a long overdue itch.

"Ideally, how's tonight end for you?" when eh stared, she snapped hre fingers in front of his face. No way was she giving him time to come up with some careful, PC answer. She wanted the truth. "Answer. Now."

She got exactly what she was looking for. He met her gaze directly. "With you bent over the nearest available surface and me fucking you until we both forget our names."

 photo tumblr_md57ucAzpF1rxzupko1_500_zps7388e882.gif

I mean...

The chemistry between these two is spontaneous and written so wonderfully. And I'm not talking just about the sexual chemistry. While it's true they start out as essentially a one night stand, The back and forth between the two was actually pretty funny too.

"You cook?" she yawned. "I like my eggs with a side of orgasms."

He laughed and settled in, sleep already threatening. "I think I can make that happen."

"I knew I liked you."

or

"If your plan is to sex me into submission. I'm not saying it's working, but I'm not saying it's not working either."

While Ian is convinced that Roxanne is his Mrs. Right, and is determined to make this connection between them about more than just sex. Roxanne is determined to do just the opposite. She's been hurt too many times and finally believes what her mother told her... love doesn't last. She isn't about to start believing in it just because Ian enters her life.

I'm only giving this four stars because to be honest, I thought the climax to the story was a bit weak... though I totally loved the resolution, it was rushed. Maybe I'm just selfish and want some more Ian in my life. (that could totally be it.)

I'm definitely going to be checking out the rest of Mrs. Robert's stuff after this one. Also, I'm excited to read more about Nathan in the next book!

My review can also be found on my blog Collections.

Chasing Mrs. Right is about Ian and Roxanne, two people struggling with their own inner demons when it comes to love and relationships. Ian is still feeling the affects of serving two tours of war and never expects to find someone to keep him grounded. Roxanne has a hard time believing in love after her own experiences with relationships and witnessing all the heartache her mother has gone through. Neither are prepared for the deep, powerful connection they find with each other.

For some reason, I thought Ian would be a bad boy, but he was actually a pretty sweet guy. When Roxanne hurt her leg, he fixed her right up. He cooked for her and did some other things (ahem). It was all very nice. But he never came off as a cheesy, perfect guy, which I liked. Roxanne was a good person too. I understood why she felt the need to keep her distance. Thankfully she wasn't able to do that when it came to Ian, and I'm glad she was quick to realize her feelings. Although I thought their story wasn't anything new, both of them were still easy to like.

Ian and Roxanne's relationship was resolved as expected. There were some things that I wish had been resolved as well like Ian and Elle's overbearing mother, but that was never the focus of the story. And while I'm glad how things ended for Ian and Roxanne, I kind of wish their had been more development between them and that the story had been longer. It all did feel a bit rushed. But I'm not surprised by this because I think these stories aren't suppose to be drawn out. Just hot, light reads with a bit of drama.

Before I end this review, I would like to mention that Chasing Mrs. Right is actually book two in the Come Undone series. I have yet to read the first book; however, it looks like each book can stand on its own. I never got lost or confused when certain things were referenced from the previous story. I did become curious about Elle and Gabe's relationship though, especially after reading the excerpt from Wrong Bed, Right Guy at the end. I think I might have to read the rest of the books in this series when I'm in the mood for another romantic read.

Wrong Bed, Right Guy . I really enjoyed this series. It was the perfect beach read. Light, SEXY, HOT, YUMMY, with a good story line. This summer I have been reading a few Brazen books and they have NOT disappointed :-) . So if you are looking for that beach read. I highly recommend The Brazen Collection.

I think I just don't love the Walser family...

Book Two in this series focuses on Ian (Elle's brother) and Roxanne (Elle's best friend). I was a little skeptical going in to the book, but was open to the possibilities. However, I think the beginning of the book was the best part. The initial meeting between Roxanne and Ian drew me in. You could see their chemistry and how they might be a good pair. As the book continued on, I feel like the "bad" parts of the characters starting showing through, and I'm not talking about flaws that every character has, but parts of them that I personally did not enjoy. I felt like the first few chapters are where this book really shined.

Also, Ian and Elle's family was just horrible to read about. You'd think that their mom would be a bit more accepting after the end of the last book, but she's exactly the same.

ALSO, a huge part of me saw how similar this book was to the first book. There were a few plot points switched around but the essence of them were the same.

Side note: Why does everyone hate Gabe?? I feel like Ian spent so much time hating him for absolutely no reason considering he just met him! And when it comes to doing wrong to their love, Ian probably was worse!

This is one of those really feel good romances. That’s not to say it wasn’t filled with some melt your panties hot sex because oh baby it was, but the relationship that develops between these two people just made my heart happy. From beginning to end I was completely enamored with Ian and Roxanne and the unmistakable bond they have from the first time they meet.

Ian has returned home after serving our country and several tours of duty overseas. He’s suffering from some PTSD and feeling a little adrift. When he literally bumps into Roxanne as he’s fleeing his welcome home party, he’s instantly calmed and equally enamored. Roxanne isn’t unaffected as well and they end up sharing a pretty amazing night and that’s all Roxanne thinks it can be. SHE doesn’t do relationships, commitment and LOVE..period end of statement.

I just can’t get these two people out of my head. Roxanne has been scarred by a cheating ex and a mother who poisoned her brain. I feel for her, I really do and I love her character. She’s sassy, strong, and is one of those friends who has your back no matter what. Ian really upends her cozy little life and it was hard not to be amused watching her trying to figure out her feelings and keep her balance. Ian has seen and done things that have left him broken. He doesn’t feel he can share it with anyone even his best friend but when Roxanne is near and especially when he touches her he feels this unexplainable peace. While that intrigues him at first, he soon finds himself completely enamored with all things Roxie and figuring out what sends her running and what turns her on. He is a patient and extremely intuitive lover. Most of all I love that when they have a big blow out, they both find the most unique way of making it up to each other.

I really could go on and on and on about this book, it was just that good but I’m going to stop now and urge you to run to your favorite bookseller and buy it. While you’re at it pick up Wrong Bed, Right Guy which is the first in this series. I had no idea where was a first book until I got to the end of this one. You can bet I’ll be reading the first one ASAP because, well I just have to know how Ian’s sister wound up with his best friend’s brother. Chasing Mrs. Right is one of those books that you can’t help but enjoy. It’s a great love story filled with complex characters, some super hot sweaty sex, and an ending that will leave you wishing the next book was already ready for release!

Ian's just come back from living his life in the military. Due to circumstances while being deployed he no longer can tolerate huge crowds and loud noise. So when his family throws a welcome home party for him in a club filled with people, it doesn't take long for him to bolt out of there and plow down a poor woman outside the door. He finds that being around this sexy woman calms him in ways that deep breathes have never managed. After a night of passion, he wakes up in an empty hotel room with no idea what her name is, until he bumps into her and his sister and finds out that it's his sister Elle's, best friend.

I must admit that I haven't had a chance to read the first book in the Come Undone series which focuses on Elle and her HEA. So I was a little nervous going in that I would feel like I was missing something and even though you could tell that there was a story previously that was obviously about Elle, the author did a great job filling you in.

Clearly Ian has issues from his time in the military but Roxanne has her own as well. Her mother went through men like crazy and drilled into Roxanne's head at young age to never trust men, they always leave. So when the perfect gentlemen falls into her life, she's skeptical that he's any different from the men her mother warned her about. However, he does everything in his power to reassure Roxanne that he's not one of those men.

I really enjoyed this story and the heat level is definitely steamy. Katee wastes no time jumping the characters and the readers into bed. The characters were likable and I enjoyed reading their story. Now all I have to do is read the first book in the series. Yes, I know it's out of order but sometimes, that happens.

Ian returns home from the military with some borderline PTSD and has to endure a welcome-home party. Only he's not coping so well. So he makes his escape and runs into a beautiful woman who seems to have a calming effect. Roxanne is Ian's sister's best friend - but he doesn't know that before or during their incredible night together. She takes off, having some commitment and major trust issues and not wanting to risk getting too close. Because of their friends and relatives, Ian and Roxanne are bound to run into each other again and again. Ian wants more. Roxanne is hesitant, but Ian might be able to convince her. But they're both so damaged they're sure to hurt one another.

I liked the story here on the whole. Roxanne is a fun character who has had some shit luck. It seems every time a guy says he loves her, he abandons her within the hour. I'd have trust issues too if this happened to me 3 times. Ian was also a good character. The story had plenty of angst and a bit of emotional drama. It was definitely engaging. I wasn't sold on the health of their relationship as both of them are pretty damaged individuals. Ian, having PTSD, really shouldn't be delving into a relatinship and it was a bit discomfiting for me that one of the reasons he NEEDS her is because she helps calm him down. That has dependency written all over it. There was also a cringe-worthy moment when, about to indulge in one-night stand sex with a military man, Roxanne says he doesn't need to wear a condom because she's safe and on the pill and she trusts him. EEK. I'm sure it had to do with wanting the reader to feel the instant connection between the characters, but it simply made me question both of their intelligences.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.
I liked this book a lot.
After spending one unforgettable night with Roxanne, Ian feels things he hasn't felt in a long time.
The war has left Ian with nightmares and other demons but when Roxanne is near Ian feels whole again.
Roxanne has her own issues and she isn't looking for anything other than one night with this sexy as sin man, but Ian was determined not to let her walk out of his life.
Roxanne and Ian have undeniable chemistry, from learning to trust and love each other they find the inner peace & happiness they both have been missing in their lives.
Thank you Katee Robert for writing Chasing Mes. Right, I'm really looking forward to reading Nathan's story :P

Let me start of by saying... I am a huge fan of Katee Robert! I read "Wrong Bed, Right Guy" and to be honest, it is one of my favorite books! I loved the writing, story and characters! Although, I could have done without all the GD's. But that is just a preference. Now after reading "Chasing Mrs. Right" I've fell in love with it too! While Elle and Gabe are still my favorite couple and story; I still love Rox and Ian!

What I loved about this story is that it did not go on and on or have a bunch of BS that could have been left out; it got start to the point and it was an smooth, easy, and fun read!

I look forward to more stories from Ms. Robert and this is a MUST read! If you have not read "Wrong Bed, Right Guy" -- read that first and then read this one! This is a forsure two for two!

Second book in the series lived up to my expectations and more!! Ian's finally home after his tour. Having been in war really affected him mentally, having a hard time with crowds, trying to get use to civilian life. Roxanne, Elle's best friend, swore off love due to things that happened in her past. When Ian and Roxanne's paths collide things take a calming affect. Safety they hadn't know they would ever feel!! I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to find out if Nathan gets the girl he let get away!

The story starts off with lots of promise, but along the way it loses some steam. Overall I enjoyed it. I didn't much care with how easily the h/h say I live to you each other there was no build it. Another thing that I didn't quite like was how fast h leaves h after spending time with his family. Or how fast h/h get back together, but there was no in depth talk about why they both chose to leave the relationship when things got tough. Hopefully her next will be more in tune with the characters.
