Ben Kirdie is a problem child. Constantly getting kicked out of schools for violent behaviour, he is sent to St Kelvin's Specialist Education Centre. There he meets someone even worse than him - an eleven year old boy, or at least something pretending to be. Over the span of one school week, Ben's life spirals out of control as he is forced to start taking responsibility for his actions and defend those he holds dearest.
