Months after the dead rise up to challenge the living for control of the earth, Steve Wendell and the survivors who fled with him by sailboat from Clearwater, Florida find themselves becalmed in the Gulf of Mexico. As their chances for survival dwindle, they come across a cruise ship drifting in the current. Seeing that the living dead only occupy parts of the ship, they decide to go aboard. Searching through an eerie, deserted opulence, they find a brother and sister in hiding. But not just from the dead. A religious charlatan has taken control of the ship and is promising his followers that the rapture is coming soon…If only they believe in him. He’s using his faithful in a quest for power, but after Steve and his people arrive, he wants something else.

Finished my first read of the year on Kindle - book 2 of 'The Dead' series, this was a really good sequel to 'Dead Air' but unfortunately was plagued again by printing errors which were quite distracting (as well as the previous problems with using the word 'puss' when it means 'pus', it then proceeds to call one the characters repeatedly 'Tick-Took' instead of 'Tick-Tock' - could do with a good editing!!).
I'm enjoying this series, the dynamics of the main group are enough to get you hooked and the introduction of separate groups elsewhere suck the reader in by not quite answering any of the questions that are raised by their presence in the chapters. I am now away to start number 3, maybe there will be answers but have a sneaky suspicion that there will only be many more questions.
Is this a rough draft combined with the final edit?
There have been a few books I have purchased like this before. It never fails to turn me from an author who puts some mess like this out for purchase. I apologize if this mess is a downloading error, but it is very frustrating . I will not have any faith in buying any more of this series:(
