The Dummond family is full of secrets, but as the oldest Dummond sibling, Jonathan Jr. plans on making a lot of changes that might just shake the family to pieces. No one would dare mistake his quietness for weakness, but with all the power his name comes with, there is one thing Jonathan has never been able to have.
Regina Mayfield's family left Atlanta with its proverbial tail between its legs, but now she's back and seeking not only revenge for her family, but also for herself. She has a score to settle, and she has no problem playing dirty if it means restoring her family's name.
The past and future are on a collision course as Jonathan and Regina engage in a battle of wills that might just take both of their families down with them. Unless one of them gives in, pride will truly be their downfall.
Passion Over Pride is book 2 in a series of interconnected standalones following the five Dummond siblings.

I have a bone to pick with Karmen Lee. How is it I'm 2 books in and we haven't uncovered the bulk of the family secrets. The old man was seriously keeping things close to his chest. Needless to say much like book 1, a big reveal in the lat 10% I'm starting to think the back half is where we get the next piece of the puzzle.
What I appreciated is Regina's take no shit attitude. My girl said she was going to get back at the Dummond by the balls (literally and figuratively). Jonathan on the otherhand was a little bit of a conundrum. Is he apathetic, demisexual, and is he a killer or just has a temper? Girl idk. Anyway I will be reading book 3 because Jalissa is going to be a good time.
I really do love this series--it's soapy and angsty and hot--but this book needed to be at least 25% longer to cover everything that was going on and to build out the love story more and show how Regina shifts from hate to love. That said, Karmen Lee writes a killer book, and more people need to be reading her.
Absolutely love this the Dummond father was an asshole indeed although I would love to know more about Regina’s family and her relationship with Jonathon in the beginning. So much more to impact like who is the new sibling?? Good read.
It's always a pleasure to dive back into this family saga filled with romance and family secrets. The spice was excellent. I wish we had a little bit more time with Jonathan and Regina but i am still happy with how things turned out. can't wait for book 3
With his father's death, Jonathan is now CEO of a company that is in a mess. Regina is back in town seeking revenge asking the Drummond name. Jonathan does understand why Regina wants revenge, and the more lies that come to light the more he wants to do right, But long forgotten feelings rise up and complicate everything, until Jonathan proposes marriage. Will there be a hea?
